Son unas personas tan desagradables y tan poco profesionales. En el 2022 pagamos 5 mil dólares a la abogada Monica Saenz para hacer una petición para mi hijo y para mi esposa. En ese entonces yo era residente. El año pasado me hice ciudadano y ellos vinieron con una visa de turista a Estados Unidos y ya no se regresaron a México. Cuando me hice ciudadano les pedí un ajuste de estatus. Al meter el ajuste de estatus nos dimos cuenta que ellos jamás sometieron un I 130 para mi hijo. Y ellos solo dijeron que eso no era necesario que porque mi hijo iba incluido con mi esposa. Pero eso no era verdad. Ellos no hicieron su trabajo y nos vieron la cara de tontos. Tenemos dos días pidiéndoles una solución y ellos no aceptan su error. Los asistentes muy groseros. no todos pero si la mayoría de ellos si. La abogada nunca nos dio la cara y después solo llamó para tratar de intimidar y asustar diciendo que no nos volviéramos a parar en sus oficinas que porque estábamos dañando sus instalaciones y en ningún momento eso fue así. Ellos tienen cámaras de seguridad y está claro que eso nunca fue así. No pierdan su dinero y su tiempo con estos abogados que solo roban el dinero y el tiempo.

They get the job done, but one thing I highly recommend is to keep your receipt especially if you pay with cash, because multiple time to me and others I know the office people told us we still owe money even though we already paid everything. Soo apparently they lost our proof of payment and if it wasn't that I paid with my credit card and still had my receipt there would have been no proof of payment.

Hands down the worst attorney I have ever dealt with for family law. He lied about meetings being set, lied about my case details and transferred, mislead the other attorney often and made agreements with no proof that the opposing counsel said did not exist. Pearcy made an agreement on a visitation schedule over a phone with opposing counsel and never put it in writing so now the opposing side refused to honor it.
If you want to lose your kid, pay more child support, or overall have them divide your family hire Dylan Pearcy. He pocketed my entire fee and did no work to progress my case forward. It was so bad that I was forced to hire another attorney to undo all the things he did. Incompetence defines his practice. I am in the middle of filing grievances with the state bar so no one else has to go through what I did with him. Save your money, and your family, don’t use Dylan Pearce for anything.
As you will see below. Pearcy will obscure himself from the facts. My case two months later is still undergoing ways to fix all the issues. Also, note how he says he won’t comment due to ethical reasons should tell you everything you need to know what kind of attorney he is. Just look at the pathetic nature of the response. Admits each case is difficult and did nothing to move it forward.

I called to make my $200 consultation, prior to booking I advised my county and court date and confirmed availability, before I paid. I was assured there was no conflictions so I proceeded. Not even a full 30 minutes in to my hour consultation Alana told me that she did not have the time and was already booked for my court date. I advised her of the above and she simply said, "it must have been an oversight but I'll send you an email with some names". Which I did not receive until I sent an email reminder, to ensure I at least got something out of it. The referrals were no good.

I came to know Mr Peterson through my Mother, who worked with Mr Peterson for her will and estate planning. I hired Mr Peterson in early 2019 to help with estate matters (probate, etc) and he continues to be available and helpful and willing to listen to various related matters and offer guidance and professional insight and respect. I value patience and communication and this is what you also get with this lawyer. Highly recommended. As an aside, my brother has also consulted Mr Peterson for other family law/child support matters with great satisfaction as well.

Mr. Peterson took my case when a previous lawyer was unable to perform in court. My daughter hired Mr. Bernstein to handle all legal matters of her divorce. Mr. Bernstein handled my daughters case with the upmost professionalism. He responded quickly to all our inquiries and questions. He was very clear we understood what to expect. I can assure you no one knows their way around the courthouse better than Mr. Bernstein! As the case went through it’s normal process, it became very clear the more we worked with Mr. Bernstein we were in really good hands. We had to arrange a spur of the moment meeting that Mr. Bernstein was not able to attend. His son Brandt Bernstein who is another atty at the firm, met us and was very familiar with our case as we discussed our concerns and appeared just as knowledgeable and clear while communicating with us. It also became very clear all the office staff do their job very well! We were treated like family. Although we hope we never need his services again, we feel like we have a friend in the family law practice! In my honest opinion, if you hire Mr. Bernstein you are greatly improving your odds of winning your case.

I highly endorse Marlene since she handled my divorce last year. If you’re looking for a high-priced lawyer with a big staff and fancy office, she’s not for you. However, if you’re looking for someone humble, caring, and compassionate yet realistic and honest (she’ll be straight with you and tell you when and why something isn’t worth your/her time (her time = your money)), someone who sees the big picture (she considers the present and the future, and as an atty and CPA, she factors in legal, financial, and tax implications), and someone who communicates with you quickly and often and is reasonably priced, then Marlene is right for you. I keep in touch with Marlene and consider her a friend, and I believe that may be the strongest endorsement a client can have for an attorney.

Mr. Ellis was referred by another attorney who told me that Mr. Ellis could handle my car wreck. I had 3 attorneys on this case who never helped me and would not return my calls. Those attorneys dropped my case and I found Mr. Ellis with only three days left to file the case. Mr. Ellis filed the case, contacted me whenever something was going on and even set up a mediation. I went to his office before the mediation and he told me about the process and we decided on a strategy. At the mediation he was awesome and got my case settled for more than we planned. Without Mr. Ellis my case would have been dropped but because of him I am able to move on with my life in a better position. If you a reading this wondering whether to use Mr. Ellis, do it!

My assigned attorney was Mr. Jon Byron Ellis. This isn’t an attack on him personally – it’s only focused on his performance or lack thereof during my case. It appears he has since moved on from the Baez Law Firm following the event.
As a paying client, Mr. Ellis was ill prepared for my mediation and was asking basic questions regarding my case minutes prior to negotiation. When the mediator left to speak with opposing counsel, Mr. Ellis began asking about the documents I had sent him well in advance. It was the first time he reviewed each document in detail. He was not prepared for the mediation and it was evident by the outcome. He was unable to defend or apply the law when the time arrived. For example, the mediator and opposing counsel used tactics that attacked my military retirement. Mr. Ellis was unaware of the law and specifics on how it would apply to me with only 11 years of service. I had to make him call an associate to determine what the law states regarding my situation. He also failed to bring appropriate documents to the meeting. I had to email him the product again right before the meeting. This is unacceptable and showed how ill prepared he was for my case. This was a common theme during my representation.
I lost out on thousands of dollars in items because Mr. Ellis failed to send me the wrong list of requested items from opposing counsel for my telephonic mediation. I had to ask numerous times for the list prior to mediation. I attempted numerous follow up calls and emails. Mr. Ellis did not return any of my calls following my mediation until I stated my intent to file a grievance with the State Bar of Texas. He called almost immediately thereafter.
When both Mr. Ellis and I discovered the egregious error by sending me the wrong list of items, Mr. Ellis gave me the option of not signing the agreement we developed using the wrong list or spending thousands of dollars in court/attorney fees trying to repair the error. Moreover, Mr. Ellis was hurried due to a Real Estate appointment he had to get to. I was extremely disappointed and was pressured to make a quick decision based on his appointment and the possibility of facing additional fees if I did not concur with the list.
Following my mediation I was sent on temporary duty outside the US. When I returned from a short military operation overseas (5-day operation), I received an email stating I had a balance. Mr. Ellis; office threatened to notify my supervisor of my delinquent account after a few days of being notified. I was overseas with no communication and was told they made ‘numerous’ attempts to contact me (I had 1 email and 1 phone call). The Baez Law Firm called my work center asking for me after a couple of days of their initial email/phone call. Prior to hiring the Mr. Ellis, I asked that this be handled as a civil matter and specifically asked for him not to contact my work center. For that reason I was shocked when they strongly mentioned the intent to call my leadership...which they eventually they did anyway.
The poor rating is a direct reflection of Mr. Ellis’ performance.

I first contacted Ms. Diaz when an ex employer was defaming me. Monique was brutally honest with me, advising it would be unlikely I would get awarded damages but we could get them to stop, which she did! I was so impressed, that when I had a family issue, I contacted Monique expecting her to advise me to someone in family law, but she quickly addressed that issue too. I hired Jill as my lawyer for my family court proceedings after my ex field erroneous allegations and tried to obtain custody of our son. I felt like giving up early on because I hated seeing my son being emotionally distraught from my absence and limited contact, but Jill encouraged me to fight for him! Jill handled my case for child custody and support in 2015. Veronica Legarreta has proven to be very unprofessional. She takes weeks, and even months to respond to case inquiries. Both Veronica and her assistant are verbally aggressive, rude and have even yelled at us on more than one occasion.
We requested an itemized bill to check retainer funds status. Veronica became irate, slamming folders onto her desk, and berated her assistant in front of us for being inefficient. Veronica emailed us the following day, stating she would no longer be our attorney. Over the last 2 months, she continues to be difficult in transferring our file to our new attorney.
We have decided to have a police escort accompany us to retrieve our paperwork, in person. Veronica Legarretta is a physically and verbally hostile person. We will certainly report her behavior to the State Bar for unprofessionalism.

We hired Ms Legaretta when our son was charged with multiple non-violent felonies, and looking at a sentence of 25 years. Immediately after hiring her, she did the research, formulated a plan, communicated that plan to us, and then went to work. As with all worried parents, we had questions every day. She encouraged us to text or call as often as we had questions. And she responded with minutes or hours everytime. She was always straight forward, even when the information wasn't what we wanted to hear. She coordinated and collaborated with the prosecutor multiple times, and was able to get a much lesser sentence. Her rates were very affordable, and accepted a payment plan. She made the legal process as easy as possible. She always fully explained the process which helped us understand. We definitely recommend her if you are in need of a criminal lawyer.

My car accident experience with Patrick Toscano was great! I was injured in a car accident and I contacted him on his cell phone and he answered. Instead of getting a calling center answering and sending me to some random lawyer, I was able to talk to him directly. He told me what to do so I could protect myself. Hi Debra Rodriguez and Sandra Sanchez I'm going thru the same stuff I haven't seen my son since last year on Christmas. So my child's father got bac wit his girl ive been going through hell and back and shes very controlling and manipulative she controls my child's father and his mom she gots my Iphone number blocked since last year in November. And so the girlfriend told me she told my babydaddy to only update me by sending 1 pick of my son once every Monday. So I'm so fed up and need her out my sons life for good. And she's a mother her own self but helping them keep my son away so ive been having emotional distress for months and no peace I cries here and there wondering and my son non verbal and gots special needs so he can't defend himself if something happens to him while he's with them So I've called so many professional people over months and still nothing because of the retainer fee I can't pay. So I desperately need help to have a family law lawyer to help me win and loose.

BEWARE of Michael Dominick
let me save you your time and money before even considering using Michael Dominick for your services. First of all the receptionist who was very sweet I believe is coached to say whatever it takes to schedule the appointment. I was lied to, to feel comfortable enough to make the appointment. Was told the hourly rate and I said oh I most likely will only take up no more then 20 minutes, I only wanted to ask a couple of questions. She said no problem they will refund for whatever time I don’t use. Which is the only reason I agreed to the appointment. I was there on time, was made to wait cause he was “consulting with a colleague” I was told, which was fine, walked into his office 15 minutes later. Was in his office almost 25 minutes before telling him that I don’t think he is what I was looking for. At the front I asked about the refund and you can tell his frail ego was hurt and said we don’t do that. And I explained then I was lied to and that now I feel conned into making the appointment because I never would have accepted knowing the truth. Said to contact billing and she was just plain rude. She then said that “I am just mad because he wouldn’t take my case” lol oh honey I’m sorry I think you have it twisted but it’s his weak frail male ego that is mad that I didn’t want him. She then dismissed me rudely. Maybe he needs the extra cash because he is the least paid lawyer in that office and was able to take my appointment instantly so that speaks volumes for his books. Maybe he will use the cash to tailor his poorly fit suit. I have the original phone call recorded on my home security cameras to prove I was told about the refund policy and I have the appointment voice recorded because I sometimes forget everything that was talked about during any sort of appointment and like to reference back, so I have time stamps and everything for the record
Save yourself your time and just go somewhere else. A while back I was in need of a lawyer to handle a tax issue I was having. I must admit that it literally kept me up at night, and seemed impossible to overcome.
