I was introduced to this team through a friend at work when they found out I was struggling through my divorce without a lawyer of my own, while my ex had a lawyer. This team graciously took on my case in the middle of my nasty divorce. While it was too late to stop me from making monumental mistakes due to lack of knowledge, they kept me from being led down a path set up to ensure my failure. As this was all happening at a time where I was fighting cancer and losing my job due to COVID-19, their help literally saved me. I was stressed beyond belief and in tears daily. This team of angels took everything off my shoulders. I had no more worries about how to proceed. Even after I thought all was said and done, when problems would arise, they were quick to step in and solve them in a timely and respectful manner. I would not have made it through 2020 as unscathed as I did had it not been for Attorney Booth and Mrs. Carol Wood. I contacted Prestige Documents regarding our case. I explained in detail about the case and that an Answer to the Complaint needed to be filed within 12 days. That we were on a limited time frame and our daughter was going into the hospital so I needed to make sure this could be taken care of.
After a long conversation I was assured they have handled specific cases like ours and it would be $350 to do the Answer to the Complaint. We sent over our documents and paid the $350. Six days later while our daughter was in the hospital I received a phone call that they could not answer the complaint. Leaving us 2 1/2 business to try and find an attorney or paralegal firm to complete the paperwork. It also required my husband to have to leave the hospital 4 hours from our house so he could resend documents if need be.
16 days later, calls and emails and we are still waiting to be reimbursed, not to mention the $50 they are keeping for "review" of the documents we sent.
They made two already hard situations even harder and took our money.

Attorney Anyiam is extremely unprofessional and rude. In working with him I found that if you ask a question, he gets offended and snaps back. In addition, he can be very condescending and does not communicate well. If you hire him, I can pretty much guarantee that he will take your money, not provide an accounting of the expenses, and not follow through with your case. In fact, he will probably try to remove himself from your case. He definitely lacks integrity. Run while you can.

I was referred to Christian Anyiam to represent me in a personal injury case. Mr. Anyiam was professional, patient, friendly, and listened to me. I am not easy to please but I experienced very little stress and no guess work regarding my case status. He kept me informed by not hesitating to return telephone calls, emails or other inquiries. Prior to settling my case, he wanted to ensure I understood the settlement terms. Mr. Anyiam discussed the economics, advantages and disadvantages of settlement with me. I hired him a few years ago. There was a lot of hidden assets he told me we would get in discovery . When we went to court he asked me if I minded waiting outside the courtroom because she my ex feared for her life. I thought it was odd but did it. When he came out he said for now I still had to pay 650 spousel support and if I sold the house I had to give her half and nothing would happen for a couple months to sign here. I didn't read what I signed I trusted him. A few days later he withdrew from being my attorney and I found out that was the final papers he had me sign. I got nothing after working fir 30 years

Mr. Montgomery is the best family law attorney in SB county. After a 10 year custody battle he was able to get me full custody of my 3 children. Absolutely amazing after two previous attorneys failed completely. He also cleared out my child support case with absolute precision. I was referred to him by my close friend who he also helped get full custody of his daughter. After being in court over 100 times (no exaggeration) I’ve seen pretty much every attorney in SB county family law. His rate is extremely fair and his ladies who run his office Leslie and Luvia are wonderful! I’ve sent him every person I know who has had issues after they hear my successful story. I wanted full custody and wanted to settle for 50/50 custody towards the end because I was tired of going to court .
I ended up with 45% custody and I still have to pay child support when he promised to write something for me and said more than likely I wasn’t gonna pay anything.
Mr. Montgomery had a chance to go against my ex without a layer and asked for an extension only because I had another case next door . Had we continued that day we would have won the case especially since my ex didn’t have the proper paper work and didn’t have a lawyer .
He did however helped me beat a restraining order that my ex wanted permanently.
Besides that I do not recommend this lawyer .
Sorry Ed it’s been a few years now and I regret asking for your services .

JL Valdez, is an incompetent lawyer that should not be practicing law, I have read so many bad reviews about J Valdez, and every bad review that she gets , I Read and feel the same way.
Her Staff is more knowledgeable than her.
This woman the moment I paid her a Retainer, she did what she wanted to do, Nothing! Her Legal assistant did all her work.

He must have a ton of clients, because he could careless about taking me on a client or assuring me could help me. I wanted consult on a K1 visa and he asked me what I wanted to know and made it clear that I was wasting his time, not even a handshake just cold and rude. No way would I pay someone to treat me like this. If you don't want to offer free consults or take on k1 visas then don't advertise it! and tell your staff not to book such appointments. Total waste of time for me to take off work and drive to his office.

I had a brief question regarding dual citizenship ( American and Filipino). Other lawyers are charging as much as $300.00 just to make an appointment. Counselor Evangelista answered my question definitely and authoritatively. he did not charge me for the visit even when I offered to compensate him somehow for his time. He said first visit is free.
I work in forensics and deal with attornies. I could unequivocally say that Counselor Evangelista is very knowledgeable and very ethical. I will have no hesitancy recommending him to friends or consulting him again

The consult was great! You are told everything you want to hear. After you become a client, and one who pays on-time, you will be treated like you take up too much of their time. Mr. Newnham and his team will get you to continuances in court and not resolve matters. There are too many people handling your case that no one there seems to know what is going on. You will be given different information when you ask the same question. Beware, there is a reason he has been disciplined by the board in the past. You will be told they are busy working on other cases. When you finally decide to hire an attorney that is willing to work and get things done they will keep your file for weeks before they release it. The person who works on files is hardly there and when she is, she seems overwhelmed. She knows more about your case than the attorney. She will try to convince you that you need separate court dates for every single matter, but that is only to fill the calendar with court appearances, and guess what happens at the court appearance? A continuance for another court date, so to resolve a matter it could take several court dates. By the way, other attorneys will not make you show up if they know ahead of time of a continuance and save you a day off work, or they can also arrange for them not to go in and just file paperwork. My divorce case was not moved forward in over 6 months and when I hired this office I was way past the 6 month waiting period, when I asked why nothing regarding my divorce was moved forward I was explained that there was a 6 month waiting period, clearly, this was another example of how they do not know about your file and just speak nonsense with confidence because my divorce was filed a year and a half ago, which means it is way past the waiting period. Also, I was told I would have child support ordered and after waiting 5 months I gave up and hired someone new. Sorry this review is disorganized, but I think you get the point. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere where they do not treat you like you are a burden, yet they always bill ahead and call you for that, but when you try to talk to someone no one answers or returns messages left on the answering machine. The entire office is outdated, literally, they share one e-mail and they prefer you to fax instead of scanning and e-mailing, I am not even going to get into the office itself. Good luck!

I contacted Mr. Newnham's office because I had been told I needed to go through Probate. His secretary gave me a telephone appointment for the same day because I live an hour away. Mr. Newnham explained what I needed which was not a costly Probate procedure. He patiently told me which forms I needed and how to complete them myself in order to successfully transfer some real estate for which my mother had Quit Claim Deeded to me prior to her death but had been lost after she died. He was knowledgeable, professional, patient and soft spoken, not to mention that the consultation was free of charge.

I talked to this guy about an " as is " issue. He did not seem to understand to " as is " exceptions in the law. He never mentioned omission of material and critical information from a transactor that could make my case. Did not mention anything about implied warranties or a fiduciary issues .
