McKean worked with me on a short-term/long-term disability case, helping to fight the denial, and represented me in an ERISA lawsuit. McKean was always very responsive, helpful, and professional. He consistently made himself available via phone, email, and in person. His work helped me to reverse a categorical denial and I'm very happy with the result and his representation through the process after working closely with him for the better part of a year. I am so glad l was assigned Mr. Rajin, l had sixteen firearm felonies and two misdemeanors for drugs, and he researchered me and my case and at the first court date had the most serious assault weapon charges dropped - then after telling me to request a jury trial, ALL FELONIES DROPPED!, plead out on one misdemeanor - NOT A FELON - THANK YOU MR. I hired Naresh to help me with a hit and run charge. He got one of two charges from the accident dismissed, helped me strategize to avoid heavier charges and jail time, and generally is a very effective lawyer and nice guy. Not cheap; but totally worth every penny.

Unlike other lawyers, Naresh explained my options very clearly and most importantly, promised to attempt to dismiss my potential criminal case before it went to court by proactively contacting DA office first. I hired Laura to work collaboratively with me, my ex-husband and his (also collaboratively trained) lawyer. Both my ex and I are so pleased we did. Ours was a bit of an unusual case in that we wanted to divorce but also continue to own and operate two businesses together as well as to keep extended family relationships active. Laura listened closely to what I wanted to achieve individually and together with my ex. She was organized, efficient, respectful, kind, dependable, responsive, open-minded and is quite obviously well versed in her knowledge of divorce law. She was patient with my ever-present questions, providing clear answers on the spot or soon afterwards. She never left me or us wondering what the next step was. She kept us all on track as well as provided excellent references for outside consultants as needed. I learned of Laura by referral from a local mediator. In 2016 I began working with Laura to initiate my divorce and reached successful settlement in September 2017. Initially I thought I could fill out the court forms independently, but soon realized there were far too many questions for me to answer on my own. At that time, I chose to hire Laura with unbundled services, where I took the lead on filings and meeting my own deadlines. Laura did a fantastic job asking the right questions (at the right time) to understand my case situation. From there, she provided me the correct forms to draft on my own, listed the supporting documents I needed to obtain, and helped me take the practical steps toward a temporary living situation. I was able to save a lot of money by gathering my own supporting documents and draft the court forms. She suggested helpful/necessary changes to my work, kept me organized, identified all the required steps, and provided helpful reminders. Afterward, Laura and I have kept in touch regularly over the last 6 years as she answers questions I have from time to time. In 2021 I hired Laura again, but with full representation since I was busier at that time. Laura took the lead in my case and carried a lot of the work which I am very appreciative for. We worked together easily and successfully, reaching an agreed settlement in January 2022. I am very pleased with the outcome for everyone involved. My sense is that everyone enjoyed working with Laura, not just me, but officers of the Court and opposing counsel! Like so many people, I work hard for my money and care about my family so I want to hire only those who I can trust, and Laura is certainly one of the people I trust most. Nelson Boyd Attorneys represented me in a bicycle crash and did an excellent job. They are a caring, professional team, where I got the benefit of them both working on my case together. Each brought their individual strengths to my representation. As much as a legal intervention is an inherently stressful undertaking, Nelson Boyd made the experience as low-stress as possible. They did this by being good listeners, providing assurances that they were fighting for me, providing prompt and excellent communications, and always doing what they said they would do. My suit was settled satisfactorily (they worked on contingency) prior to reaching court, which was preferable since it took nearly two years to get to that point-- though not due to any fault of Nelson Boyd. Going to court would likely have taken another six months or longer. My case involved personal injury and I would highly recommend this team to anyone needing this sort of representation -- and probably other issues, as well. At minimum, it will be worth your while to call them to discuss your problem.

Looking for a lawyer isn’t something you want to do. But when I found Stacey & Jacobson, I found something special. I wasn’t sure what was going to happen to me after I got hurt on a barge. I wasn’t able to work the same job and was faced with not being able to work on the water. I didn’t know my rights when the insurance company started calling me. Mark is the very best lawyer you could wish for: knowledgeable, experienced, smart, responsive, dedicated, thorough. He worked with me with generosity, kindness and humor.
