I was in a really bad hit and run car accident June 6, 2023. I took my time to review plenty of attorneys before I found Boohoff Law. The reviews I read about them were unbelievailable. So I decided to call them. The very next day Michelle Pieller reached out to me and started working for me right away. Within days they found all my medical services & facilities I needed right away. Not only they found them right away but everyone of them were within 5 miles or less away from where I lived. As a matter of fact my very 1st service was within walking distance but of course I drove because of the car accident I was just involved in. Jocelyn and Linsey were the key players in helping complete my case when I was rear-ended. I was recommended them through word of mouth and I would definitely recommend them to others as well - the process was kept clear and they communicated the process very well with me. Knowing nothing about law or the lawsuit process, I’m glad I reached out to them as they were able to work with me to get me the help I needed (Physical therapy, MRI scans, etc.) to get me back healthy like before the accident occurred and maximized the return we were able to get out of the case. If you have a difficult divorce, go with Veronica Freitas. She is no nonsense, straight to the point, and knows her stuff. Her office will not nickel and dime you too.
I was dumb and tried another lawyer when my ex was being difficult about my move out of state and boy did I regret it. The other lawyer ended up firing me because I didn’t have $40k ( and this was after I gave her $20k). Freitas took me back and quickly wrapped up my case without us going to trial.

After her intake coordinator spoke with me, she told me Melissa would be calling me to discuss further. Unfortunately, I was involved in a motor vehicle accident January of 2020. I had attempted to resolve the claim with the other carrier, however my ongoing injuries and prognosis made it clear I would need help resolving my claim. We had reached the statute and needed to file suit. Melissa did a great job of explaining the process, preparing me for my deposition and later the mediation with the other carrier and setting clear expectations regarding settlement. I felt that she truly listened to my concerns and was advocating on my behalf, not just trying to get a case off her desk or get me to accept an offer I didn't feel was fair. She paid attention to the information I provided and knew my case when discussing it with me or the mediator. She exceeded my expectations when it came to settlement and resolution of my liens with my PIP carrier and health insurance. I would recommend Melissa to my family, friends, and/or anyone seeking legal representation. Should I have misfortune of being in another motor vehicle accident, I will be calling Melissa to advise.

Kim was my attorney during my divorce. I was glad to have done my research because, in hiring Kim, I picked an atty with a strong background in difficult personalities, mental health issues and complicated proceedings. My case did end up with multiple difficult surprises that could have devastated me financially and socially, but Kim got me through it without a scratch. I am a decent writer myself and work with lawyers frequently in my work; but I could NEVER have produced the legal artifacts (letters) that Kim did. They were extremely effective and served to close a very difficult process relatively quickly with an emphasis on ethics. My case ended up being difficult enough that I don't think the average divorce lawyer would have done as well for me. I recommend Kim without reservation.

18 months after my divorce was settled, I was laid off. When I found work again, I took a significant pay cut, making it impossible to pay my original maintenance amount. Then my ex petitioned to relocate cross-country with our kids, while demanding I continue to pay well more than I could now afford. I consulted multiple lawyers, expressing my desire to oppose the relocation and request a decrease in support payment. Several said no immediately, one felt it would be an “easy win,” and one charged a fee just to meet with their “intake specialist.” In contrast, Scott was patient, empathetic, and balanced. He gave me a very candid and practical assessment of my situation, and his opinion on my chances to win.
After we mutually agreed to go forward, he was responsive, made himself available even when my schedule wasn’t convenient, and was very collaborative. When mediation failed, he demonstrated his intellect and deep knowledge of the law in court. My ex’s lawyer focused his efforts on attacking my character. We could have done the same, but Scott insisted we take the high-road instead. That, combined with the case law he cited, his handling of witnesses (mine and hers), and his sincere and respectful demeanor led the court to side in my favor on each motion, as well as their subsequent motions for reconsideration. I consider myself lucky to have found Scott. I hope I never have to go through this again, but if I do, it will be with him.

My ex-wife filed for divorce a year ago and her lawyer filed a restraining order against me immediately before a visit to see my son, despite the fact I did not reside in the state, and having no specific previous conflict that merited such an action. I had a free consultation with Scott who was very good at listening and sympathetic, and I decided to retain his services. He acted quickly to negotiate the withdrawal of the petition for a restraining order. Subsequently, a fair parenting plan was negotiated, which allowed me to see my son and contact him regularly while out of state, which was much better than the situation prior to my ex-wife filing for divorce, which depended on her whims. Child support was a concern, as my wife wanted an unreasonable amount of money, far beyond what I could afford. Scott was right in his interpretation of the facts and when he went to court the Commissioner favored his arguments, and the terms settled were fair. He was right on and did not waiver, which reflects his knowledge and many years of experience. Scott was always very aware of my concerns about costs, and he did initially give a very accurate prediction of final cost. In addition, he was always calm, polite, thoughtful, and empathetic with me, he built a rapport with my ex-wife's lawyer to negotiate, while being resolute in defending my interests. Getting divorced with Scott's representation was far less stressful than it might have been with another attorney.

I called Scott when I first realized I was going to be going through divorce. As someone who has never been involved in anything to do with going to court or trial, I have to say that Scott made it very easy for me, also I was not the best client as far as providing paperwork and things of that nature but he was always patient and helpful. I went through a HORRIFIC 2+ year long high-conflict divorce from a narcissistic man who verbally and physically abused me in front of our young child. Yasmeen was my 3rd lawyer and I am thankful to God every day that I finally found her. I could tell right away that she is a person of the highest integrity and retains expert knowledge of the legal process. Beyond those stunning traits, emotionally, she was my rock as she guided me through the incredibly traumatic process of extricating myself from my toxic marriage and fighting for custody of my child. My ex and his low-vibrating energy monster of a lawyer did everything in their power to break me: Manipulation, lying, defamation, disregarding court orders, twisting the truth, and hiring "expert" witnesses to try to discredit and demonize me. Yasmeen remained optimistic and unshaken, having full confidence every time I spoke to her that we would win. She encouraged me not to give up, even though I wanted to so badly so many times as this process nearly broke me as a person. But, in the end, Yasmeen came through for me and my child, and we won at trial in a big way. We suffered a devastating house fire and on top of that the insurance company was short-changing us to the point we could not even consider rebuilding, which is when we sought Maury's assistance. Maury was very helpful throughout the entire process. He is a polite professional who is also very knowledgeable. At every stage of escalation throughout the dispute he put the scenario in perspective, always accurately predicting how the other party would react, providing us with all the data needed to make a decision. We ended up taking the matter to court as other avenues failed to lead to resolution. Maury is not a fan of endless litigation and has a realistic perspective on what can be achieved. At the same time he shows the willingness to escalate the matter to force the other party to come to a resolution.
