Many years ago I came to Sheila at a time when my life was turning upside down, emotionally with a divorce and financially with the subsequent bankruptcy. She was able to calm many of my fears and help me take a deep breath and trust in her experience and caring guidance. I hired Dave. The representation was absent and lazy until there was easy money for him to make. Refused to use evidence, exhibits and witnesses that could have and should have slammed shut my case on an abusive and Narcissistic ex-wife. He talks a big game yet doesn't use the tools or evidence at his disposal to hammer it in.

David Kitchell was retained several years ago for a complex relocation case that spanned a lot of court activity, depositions, mediation, and arbitration sessions. David was prompt in his communication, did absolutely everything I expected and hoped for, and the outcome was in my favor. He is highly experienced and professionally firm in upholding our position. He has done an absolutely fantastic job at representing my point of view and that of my family. This case had a lot of curveballs but none posed a problem for David. It was bitter-sweet asking Mr. Kitchell to withdraw as it has been a pleasure working with him (And his paralegal, Kim). Kim is an amazing paralegal that kept me up to date on everything, was prompt in getting things filed, copies issued, and when David was out for trials or otherwise unavailable, coordinated with partners to get prompt responses. Not only do I highly recommend David, I have already referred a couple friends his way with custody matters. My only regret is that I hadn't hired him sooner, and instead went through several "high power" firms before landing on David.

I interviewed many lawyers before finding Dave. I was seeking an intelligent and experienced lawyer to help me with my divorce of a 28 year marriage. During the first free consultation with Dave he listened to the details of my situation and then we had an in depth dialog about the process, specific ideas, strategies and possible outcomes. Rather than providing generic responses Dave was engaged and demonstrated a much higher level of understanding and expertise to my specific complex situation. After hiring Dave I continued to be very impressed with his thoughtful and skilled approach which helped me maintain a level of hope through this difficult process. I hired Ricardo for my Child Custody case. I had watched him on a prior case of his and felt very comfortable with his approach. I later found out that he is very experienced and knowledgeable in the types of law he practices. He was excellent at trial and truly cares about his clients and their needs. No green card and no money back . After 6 years my daughter has not received her green card and even one dollar back. At first he was telling you will receive your money after 5 years. I spend a lot and gave him more than our agreement. No work for his clients.

If MRM has been practicing 35 years we were her among her early clients. She was amazing the and still is. I have not needed an attorney much since 1981 but when I have she is the best advisor. Never has forced a litigation on any. She did took my husband I through the end of a horrid family court matter that had taken on a life of its own even after remarriages . Former attorneys had settled nothing to the satisfaction of any party, including new husband or new wife. We did prevail on a permanent maintenance beyond remarriage of the recipient or payment of attorney fees by husband. She took it to appeals and won on both. She did not further damage the already fragile relationship between divorced parents of a fragile preteen in the process. Time passes we are grandparents, everyone is the exact same personality as they were in then. She worked hard for us in an area of law that is not her specialty but she has left her mark with these appeals and by assuring we newly weds had a chance at making a marriage and eventual family find peace. For that We are eternally grateful.

Mary Ruth is a genuine, caring and extremely knowledgable lawyer. Throughout my case (which went on for 3 years) I was kept up to date on the latest developments. As each obsticle came about I was thoroughly informed of my options as how I could proceed and loved the fact that I was in the officers seat and made the decisions. Her knowledge of the law and my rights was impressive. It was evident why she is such a highly reputable and sought after lawyer. The fact she only takes cases she truly believes in and not just anyone who walks through the door impressed me. Ms Mann (as well as her staff) treated me as family and not just a client. She was genuinly concerned about my well being and health every step of the 3 yr ordeal. When things got heated and I needed a break or to take a time out we did. People will never truly understand how stressful a law suit and trial are until they go through it themselves! She sacrificed many holidays as well as weekends to do what needed to be done! Mark was awesome! He helped me vacate a misdemeanor so that I can get a second chance and move on with my life. He knew the statute well and how to represent my case. He was very quick and thorough in preparation and because of his bullet proof motion and supporting docs, the judge granted the motion. Mark didn't stop there, he followed up with the court clerks and Washington Patrol to follow up on my case so my record is cleared and the vacated case info doesn't show up in background checks. He proactively followed up with relevant authorities and kept me updated via emails and phone calls along the way. All for a low flat fee! I highly recommend Mark for any of your defence needs.

Several years ago, Mark was my public defender for a DUI case and was miraculously able to make a deal with the prosecutor outside of court to reduce the sentence to Reckless Driving with minimal consequences. Years later I needed an attorney and did not hesitate to reach out to Mark, now practicing from his private firm. Mark was able to get the case closed completely with no consequences. He is very knowledgeable and experienced in the Seattle court system and well connected with government attorneys and judges. Mike Mazon and our office had a mutual client/patient who was treating in our clinic for multiple car accidents they were involved in. The client didn't have health insurance or PIP coverage, so we agreed as a favor to hold this person's treatment balance so they could get treatment for their injuries, with the understanding that we would be paid at the end of the case from the settlement. We did not have to do this, and did it only as a kindness for this person who could not afford to pay out of pocket for any amount of treatment, but nonetheless was injured and needed the care. This agreement was made at our inconvenience and expense but we held the balance for multiple years while the case was pending. When the case settled and we asked to be paid, Mike tried to get us to reduce our bill by over 80%. When we asked for a more reasonable resolution, he said he would teach us a lesson by disbursing all of the money to the client without paying us at all, in effect exposing the client to a very large debt and mounting collections actions as we tried to recover payment for this significant outstanding balance our office was owed. Not only did Mike retract on his agreement, but then he put his client in a horrible position where we had to go after her for that money. It was not clear that she was ever informed by Mike that our bill had not been paid and that we were owed a great deal for this balance. We never got paid a cent for any part of this treatment balance. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for a more professional lawyer.

I was very lucky to find Micheal. I was badly injured at a sketchy bed and breakfast and needed surgery and 4 months off work. I called probably 20 lawyers and one of them referred me to Micheal. My case settled in 11 weeks for the maximum amount — unfortunately they weren’t properly insured but the settlement was the best I could have gotten. I felt the staff at his office was very supportive and even came to the airport to have me sign everything before I flew home to Michigan. I’m grateful that I had this help after this tragic fall. I highly recommend this law office

I walked out of a business carrying my new product and their entry had was iced up and I slipped and broke not only the item I just bought & picked up but both my ankle and wrist. I talked to the business & they gave me the run around. I contacted Michael and was able to relax. He not only got all my medical paid, I got a refund on the item (it was very expensive), and I got some for pain & suffering. If I ever have another personal injury of any kind, I'm not even going to try talking to anyone but Michael Mazon because I know he will go above & beyond!

Kim really helped out of a rough situation. The buried oil tank on my property (still in use) was found to be leaking and had spread over a large area. I had a very difficult time trying to figure out what to do. The company that tested the soil just tossed me aside to an attorney. The attorney was mostly interested in litigation. I talked to realtors. None of them knew much of anything about soil contamination. I finally found Kim, and she gave me a road map of what to do and I was ultimately able to perform the cleanup and sell the property. It wasn't cheap (it cost me over $70,000), but I don't know what I would have done had I not contacted Kim.

Kim Johannessen was referred to me by a friend who happens to be a very successful attorney himself. A request was posted on Listserve, a Legal Referral directory used by attorneys to post referrals and recommendations, and Johannessen & Associates came up repeatedly. I remember one attorney responding "This is the one". After speaking with several other attorneys, I knew Kim was the best choice. Not only was Johannessen & Associates recommended by other attorneys, but also by environmental cleanup companies I had contacted. Working with Kim was the best decision I could have made. I was in a very complex situation with a leaking residential oil tank that involved many parties with no clear path. Kim's extensive legal experience on environmental matters, combined with her keen understanding of the issues and the hard work put in by Kim and her associates, all were key to our being able to work towards a resolution, despite a seemingly hopeless beginning. At my last meeting with him he threatened me and then questioned my sanity. He was very unprofessional. I am left with no representation days before court now. I have legal trouble for simply moving a tree off of the road! The police seem to have been targeting me for a long time. They have taken my rights away and wrote a bogus report after I was bit by a dog. Just days later they came and took me for my first, "education" in mental hold. After I got out a few weeks later I was driving near my home and to a tree in the road. Somehow with a little help from a man who I never saw before... I was able to move the rather large tree off the road. Then the police came. Put me in "County" jail for almost 2-weeks. Then I got Tim to "help" me defend myself against the tyrannous EPD. He recommended I put the trial off. I never told him y/n. At the second hearing he asked, "Do I want to Double Down?". I still do not know what that means? Anyway he got the trial set Earlier! Then I met with him and he said, "You have a mental problem". I walked out. He has no right to question my sanity. I am completely coherent, get plenty of sleep, and am working now. Unfortunately I just started working and have very little savings to hire REAL defense.

Beware of bait and switch tactics used by this firm and Christopher Pitts. I recently was involved in a divorce/CIR settlement and, after a phone interview process, hired Christopher Pitts to represent me. I signed off on the agreement to have him represent me, and was immediately handed off to one of the firms more junior attorneys. No mention from the firm that I would not be working directly with Mr. Pitts, who I had hired. I asked why I wasn't talking directly to Mr Pitts, or ever hearing from him regarding my case, and was told that in the early stages it was less expensive to work with a more junior, less expensive attorney. However, this never changed. I never heard from Mr Pitts, not once, during the entire 6 month long process. Only that when I first heard from the more junior attorney, she told me she would be 'assisting' Mr. Pitts. Which would have been fine, if the person I had actually hired in the beginning, would have been the one I was truly being represented by during mediations and negotiations with the opposing counsel. I thought I was hiring the principal of the firm. I was not, and it ended up costing me pretty much everything I was fighting for.

I reached out to Christopher on an international travel dispute issue which has been an ongoing challenge with my ex. Christopher is well thought, experienced and a very helpful lawyer. He does not beat around the bush and is very upright about his legal advice. He is amicable, gentle and tries to understand his client's concerns before he attempts to give out suggestion. I am very satisfied with Christopher's advice and would highly recommend him to anybody who might be going through a contentious divorce with kids involved. I sent this attorney an email one week ago. I waited several days and did not receive a response. I then emailed him directly through his firm's website and did not receive a response from him or from a representative of his firm. I understand that he could be busy or not taking new clients, but it would have been courteous and sensitive of him to at least briefly email me and explain so - and perhaps offer a referral to someone who could help me.

I'm very pleased with this firm and how easy it has been working with them. Everyone in their office is friendly and helpful and explains legal matters in a way that I can understand. They have been extremely helpful when it comes to explaining the collection process to my boards. All of the board members that have had a conversation with Valerie have come back to say how extremely helpful her information was and how she was able to communicate so they could understand things better.

I am a Community Association Manager with a very large Management Company on the Eastside. I manage several Associations, three of which Valerie has been engaged to facilitate the Association in recovering delinquent homeowners' assessments. I have found her to be extremely knowledgable in the governance for condominium and homeowner associations. Valerie reponds to questions in a prompt and concise manner, as well as thorough in her answers. I had my own business for a long time but the economy was making survival darn near impossible. I was in real trouble and decided to talk to a lawyer about my problems; I have known Leo personally for several years so I explained some of my situation and he said let’s get organized to review the options. I’m not the best record-keeper, but we reviewed what I had and he kind of told me I had nowhere to go but up and if I wanted to be able to even have a retirement I’d better start to prepare. I didn’t want to hear it, but he insisted I understand the consequences of my actions, past, present, and future. Man, I didn’t want to hear it but they really held my feet to the fire, and I’m glad they did. I made some hard decisions I’d been putting off, but I’m so much better off now. I’ve got my feet firmly on the ground and don’t have all that old stuff dragging me down. Life isn’t perfect, but I do have a plan and hope to enjoy retirement at some point. If you are having money problems ask Mr. Garvey to help you identify your options. He’ll walk you thru it, make sure you understand the possible outcomes of each decision and also help you implement legal relief if it could be helpful for you. I am so glad I asked for help. Steve

During 35 years of marriage, my husband handled all our finances. After his death I was at a complete loss, both emotionally and financially and was afraid that I wouldn't be able to meet my obligations. Mr. Leo Garvey understood that I was upset and was very kind. He reviewed my current situation and explained the options. Because I was in such a state of confusion, he had to repeat things many times, but he did so until he was sure I understood. I felt badly but it was clear that bankruptcy was my only option. Mr. Garvey and his assistant met with me for several hours and they were readily available for any questions I had. The process took several months. My bankruptcy just ended and the court closed the case. I am so grateful for the services provided by Mr. Garvey and his assistant. They were very patient and thorough with me and with the creditors. They explained the overall process so I'd know where we were at any given time. At the hearing there weren't many questions because they helped me to provide good solid information in the paperwork. I am so glad he was there to help me in this situation. It wasn't a place I wanted to be, but with him guiding me the ordeal was less overwhelming. If you are having financial difficulties I encourage you to speak with Mr. Garvey and have him advise the best way to handle them.

I was injured in an automobile accident 18 years ago and Leo Garvey represented me and made sure the insurance companies compensated me for my injury and lost time at work. I met Dann and was impressed with his desire to help. I had a small case and yet he still took it on and fought for me. We received a settlement offer and I followed his advice on accepting. I then find out he went back and negotiated for a larger amount than I was expecting. I was really impressed that after I received my portion of the settlement, I received a call from Dann saying that he negotiated with the chiropractor I went to for rehab and negotiated an additional $500 for me off the doctors bill. Dann went above and beyond for what I considered was a small case. Dann showed me there is no small case only right and wrong. If he went the extra mile for me I know he will for you as well.

I spent much of the summer of 2007, pacing in a friend's driveway in Menlo Park, talking to Adam Goldblatt on the phone from his home office in Seattle. I had never met him, but we were introduced through a friend from Maveron and quickly I developed a point of view that I should hire him to be our attorney to get Bonobos off the ground. Adam deftly juggled a cabal of angel investors, my high expectations, and multiple attorneys representing various investors to get our Series A angel round closed quickly and inexpensively. Adam is kind hearted, personable, entrepreneurial, ambitious, and experienced. He works for himself rather than a large firm, so you get high quality advice, personalized attention, and a partner perspective, without the mark-up charged by most firms. We liked working with him, so we did it again, hiring him to close our Series B angel round and he nailed it the second time. Ann Rosato is an incredibly talented, passionate and meticulous attorney whom I can’t say enough good things about. I had the pleasure to have Ann as my primary attorney in an automobile accident case that spanned almost 3 years. Throughout the long pre-trial phase Ann communicated with us on a regular basis and always was professional, friendly and caring. Because of the many court delays we ended up having to videotape testimony for several witnesses however Ann did such an outstanding job drawing out quality testimony that the jury made good connections with my witnesses. During the trial phase Ann continued to come across as the professional, friendly and caring person that she is. She was meticulous in her preparation, delivery, appearance and approach with witnesses, Jury, Judge and opposing council. Through the combined use of new technology and old fashion pen & paper Ann told my story in a compelling way that helped the Jury decide in our favor. From my first meeting with Ann (3) years ago through to the closing arguments Ann stood out as a shining example of what the Attorney profession is supposed to strive for.

I contacted Mr Olson after months of trying to deal with my employment problems on my own. He took the lead the day I first met with him. Mr Olson and his assistant kept me informed every step of the way. Having worked previously in in various law firms I know how busy it can become, but I was very impressed with the fact that I received responses to any of my questions in a very timely manner. Mr Olson and his assistant are extremely professional and personable, but when it came time to stand up for my rights he (Mr Olson) never backed down. I'm very pleased with the outcome of my case. I know I couldn't have achieved as much on my own, or as quickly.

Words cannot adequately express how fortunate I feel to have found Nathan Cliber to handle my case. Not only was he an absolute pleasure to work with, but he was always upfront and direct about our chances of success and made sure I knew exactly what I was getting into if I wished to pursue certain actions. He was considerate of my time (money), keeping me on track and focused when he could have chosen to sit back and let me ramble while he collected $100s. He approached sensitive topics with empathy and understanding. He somehow always knew when I needed gentle guidance and when I needed a firm reality check (which he did with professionalism and respect). Not only did I feel like he truly cared about me, my case, and my family, but I was confident he was giving me the best chances he possibly could. Nathan had my back every step of the way. If that wasn't enough, he was also so personable that talking to him felt like talking with a good friend I'd known for years. As I write this, we have made it through the largest hurdles and will be mostly parting ways. As relieved as I am to have these battles almost over, I am also very sad that our time together is ending. I'll miss working with him, but it should go without saying that he will be the first I contact if I need legal assistance again. If you're looking, this is your guy. I couldn't have chosen better.
