I hired Doug to help me with a rather sticky property transaction. I could have not asked for better representation! Even though he was doing his reserve time, he called me on his free time to get the case going. He has a wonderful paralegal "Lena" who also was very helpful and kind. No matter how many questions I had, she always was patient and nice. The two work very well together and in a timely matter. I was very very satisfied!

Horrible experience. Called trying to find an attorney. Tried to explain to Millington what was going on. He kept cutting me off and jumping to conclusions I asked him politely to please allow me to explain so that he has the correct details and he began yelling at me at the top of his lungs and then screams " forget it" and hung up. The total phone call was about 5 mins. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DIDNT NEED AN ANGRY MAN YELLING AT ME WHEN I WAS TRYING TO HIRE AN ATTORNEY!!!! Unprofessional and abusive. Couldn't even get through a 5 min conversation without him blowing up at a potential client. I've never experienced anything like it.

Mr. James Schumacher is very professional and very good at his job. This is the second time that he has saved me from going to jail or prison and saved my VA benefits from getting taken from me. He told me what he could do and then he went in there and did it without hesitation. He has a very commanding essence when he walks into the courtroom, and everybody takes notice, including the prosecutor and judge. He tells them what he expects to happen and in return it happens. Without Mr. Schumacher, by my side, I would definitely have not overcome the charges that were against me numerous times. It was my first time needing the services of an attorney. I had no idea where to begin so I looked on Yelp. MRD Lawyers had the highest ratings so I made an appt. I met with Russ Dempsey. He was fantastic. He clearly explained my options and how the legal process would go. He took the time to answer all if my questions. The fee was very reasonable in fact much lower than others. In court Russ was very capable and everything went exactly as he explained. I absolutely never write reviews. I was so impressed with not only Russ but his office staff as well. I hired Ryan for a DWI charge and I was terrified for the process that was ahead of me. Ryan was professional, prompt, and explained everything in terms that I could understand. When we were going over my case on my initial consult I became tearful and he got up real quick to go get me tissues. Very nice! He may not be some old seasoned lawyer, but laws change every day and Josh knows his current law better then anyone else. Sure you could find a cheaper lawyer, but his experience will save you 20X more money in the long run.
For example the lawsuit he just helped us with, he could have charged us a fortune and taken advantage of our situation like most lawyers would have, but instead he gave the best advice that would save us the most in the long run and he was right, he saved us almost $20,000 dollars.

I was contacted by the Missouri Workers Compensation Division and was told that I had a hearing over my settlement. I had no idea what that meant, but I noticed that the workman's comp. insurance company of my former employer, had a law firm representing them. I spoke to a friend and they told me to get a lawyer, my sister-in-law (who is a paralegal) said that her office uses Ryan Murphy.
I gave him a call, and he saw me on his day off, he explained what was going on and how he would handle my case if I chose to have him represent me. I agreed and hired him that day.
I got paper work in the mail within a few days, that showed me that he and his team were not wasting any time.
I had no idea what my settlement would be, but I received a lot more than I thought I would and I was very pleased with how everything turned out.
I have learned to always have a lawyer represent you in any workman's comp. case and I will recommend Ryan Murphy to all my friends.

Ryan E Murphy is the best lawyer ever! My right shoulder was injured and when I did my part and told the company I worked for that I was hurt. The company turned there cheek and didn't care. We were in an out-of-state accident with an under-insured motorist and were faced with negotiating with our insurance company for injury damages. To make things more difficult, Steve Aton took over the case well into the game. Mr. Aton put together a straight-forward, to-the-point case, saw to it that expert medical opinions on both the extent of injuries and the future costs for care were in order, made it clear that we would not accept a nominal settlement, and demonstrated that we were prepared for trial. We used Mr. Aton to advise us and prepare our estate planning documents when we married. We are a blended family with adult kids, kids in college and grandkids from prior marriages; so, to us the process seemed daunting or even impossible. He explained our options and different solutions to our situation in a clear and concise way that we could understand. He is very practical in his advice and was really good to explain things in layman's terms vs. a lot of legalese. We have referred him to other members of our family as a result of our experiences with him.
Mr. Aton also handled an injury case for our daughter when she was hurt on some city property where she was away at college in a town about 100 miles from our home. He handled that very satisfactorily for us. It was a long and tedious process, but he kept us well informed along the way.

Tom immediately reviwed all of the papers I got from the police officer and he got a copy of the police report. Then he filed a motion and got my case dismissed! I was so worried my drivers license would be suspended and I would lose my job. Tom kept that from happening and got me better results than I thought was possible. Alright, sure, I’ll admit I’m old and set in my ways. Some even say ornery and full of spit. And I’ll admit when I first went into the office at the Corbett Law Firm I wanted the dad (Jim Corbett) as my lawyer, not Matt Corbett the son. Matt looked like a kid to me and I figured they just kept Matt around the office to wax their cars and go get hamburgers for everyone at lunch. I needed someone with cold steely eyes and an itchy trigger finger. My case was special and I needed someone with experience. As far as I knew only the dad had that kind of take no prisoners, getter done kind of reputation. My philosophy is, if you need to go to war then get someone to go with you who has been there. Failure is not an option! But I got stuck with the kid so my new plan was to hang around with him just long enough to get to see his dad come through the office then fall down on the floor and grab a hold of his leg and make him drag me around until he agreed to take my case. But I never saw him. I guess he still works there? He must have some kind of a special Batman cave entrance? But, I’m glad now that I didn’t. One – well, because I’d have wrinkled my cloths. Two - well, because who needs the dad when Matt’s around! Man, this young man turned out to be a go getter. I was surprised! He took care of everything from A to Z for me and got me the help I needed. Talk about a chip off the old block. Well, I was arrested with a tourist visa in the US this past summer for a felony class C second degree assault and my charge was droped into a misdemeanour.
