Hard working, attention to detail, unusally high degree of intelligence, and strong moral character, balanced with a genuine compassion that makes him truly care, about doing the very best job for the betterment of those who seek his counsel. These are the words I use to describe Brice Ricker.
When you find yourself in a situation that is of great importance to your life, and you know you're going to need someone to help you, to get to where you want to be? You'll want to call that one person, the one person on whom you know you can depend. That one person who has the skills, the knowledge, the abilities, and the desire to produce the best possible outcome, on your behalf. Call that one person who has the experience, and just as importantly the depth of understanding, that will treat you (and your case) with the dignity, and the representation that you deserve. I call Brice Ricker.
My case wasn't easy. Since the onset of my injuries, I've spent over fifteen (15) years enduring numerous procedures and many types of physical therapies. I consider myself truly fortunate for the nature of the medical treatment that I received in the past, and continue to receive to this day. But sometimes in life, there can be debilitating injuries that may accompany you for the rest of your life. Despite the years, and the feet-high stack of medical records, I was still denied twice and had only the last resort of a hearing before an Administrative Court Judge with the presence of a Social Security Disability Representative, to decide my fate. The outcome, a true blessing to myself and my family.
You can "hope" that your case is considered by a good and conscientious Court Judge. But you can "choose" the right person to guide you through this process. Personally, I couldn't have asked for anything more, in any and every aspect related to my case, and my representation by Brice Ricker.
I've been blessed to have family and friends who have worked for years in some powerful legal firms. Hence, I've been fortunate at times to "have the ear" of some of the best legal minds in the business. When something is of such great importance, I want the smartest, hardest working, and most dependable person in the room, sitting next to me. And I still call Brice Ricker.

I had John Loy as my public defender and I would be forever indebted to this man. He went above and beyond what I could have expected or anticipated. It is a scary time in someones life when they are charged with a crime. In my case I was innocent, but Mr. Loy deals with people everyday who say they are and maybe they are not, but he believed in me and fought for my life, defended me until the end & we won! He is an amazing person, truly and for the rest of my life I will remember him & have nothing, but positive things to say about Mr. John Loy. Highest respects for him & what he does. I live 300 miles from Summerville. My divorce was final but my ex was NOT abiding by the orders. Gina was an excellent, timely, professional, easy to talk to, reasonably priced advocate for me. I wish she'd handled the full divorce. My ex had ignored the court order, ignored the sheriffs endeavor to serve papers & anythings else he could think of to be annoying. Gina was not detoured by his non-since & was able to get everything settled without another trip to court. She knows her stuff!!!

Words can not properly describe the level of service provided by Benjy Lafond. He is not like most other lawyers and his service is very personalized making me feel like he actually cared about my case. Many lawyers have an impersonal approach and can make the family court process more frustrating, but I would recommend Benjy to anyone looking for a fair and honest approach to dealing with the tough issues associated with it. I may not have always liked what he said, but he never steered me wrong and I would not trust such personal and important issues to anyone else. If you value your family and forced to tackle issues in family court, this is who you need to call.

Jeff is one of the best lawyers in the Summerville area. I had what should have been a very simple divorce but due to how difficult my ex decided to be it turned out to be tremendously complicated. Jeff has been so wonderful throughout the whole process. He is very responsive and witty in his emails. For what was one of the most stressful parts of my life he always had me laughing. At the same time, he is extremely professional and knows how get things done in court. Jeff handled everything so I could focus on work and not have this divorce take over my life any more than it already had. When my ex decided not follow the court ordered divorce decree Jeff did not take my money and rack up more legal costs (which he could have easily done). Instead he referred me to a lawyer in CA (where my ex currently lives) to handle my case so issues could actually be resolved. He is an honest man who is actually here to help you. I believe whole heartedly that Mr. William Hammett was the answer to my prayers. I'd worked with 2 other attorneys prior and spoke with more than a few. Most refused to get involved with my case because of its complexities. I had two custody cases running and was portrayed to be unfit in any and every way possible. My previous attorney told me my best bet was to give up everything, move back to NJ and settle for 50/50 custody. After working with Mr. Hammett I have custody of all three of my children (from two different cases) and residence of our home well... forever. I thank God every day for making Will so incredibly kind, patient, thorough, organized, responsible and intelligent. He has an amazing team behind him and truly cares about his clients. I am writing this review on behalf of my sister, Christine Walker, who was poorly represented by Makenzie. She accepted a fee to do legal work-and did absolutely nothing-yet, she claims that my sister has an outstanding balance. As a newly appointed attorney, why would Makenzie accept a case she is not professionally competent to handle. This child custody case was too complicated for her to handle. My sister was totally misrepresented. Honestly, this kind egregious representation was definitely racially motivated. Purposely not keeping my sister informed about her case, being dishonest and dismissive, and lastly demanding money for doing absolutely nothing. Elizabeth Height is to blame as well. Why would she allow Makenzie to handle such a complicated case? I am helping my sister to file a complaint with the SC Bar.

Elizabeth form the moment I met with her was understanding and sympathetic to my situation which was WAY beyond a normal divorce in terms of the things my ex-husband was doing ( think lifetime movie kind of secrets). I instantly bonded with her during my initial consult. It was the most difficult and uneasy time of my life for me personally. She was absolutely wonderful! She is quick, sharp, extremely smart and doesn't miss a beat. I know I probably was not the easiest client as I have a hard time waiting for news. Mr. Ward is a terrible lawyer. Witnessed my friend lose custody of her children and currently going through absolute crisis trying to get them back because of the lack of competence and time Mr. Ward actually dedicated towards her case. He was more concerned about making sure she made her payment than he was actually defending her from the baseless easy to disprove claims being made by her ex husband. I could’ve reprinted her better, she could’ve represented herself better and actually made more progress. Horrible experience! My son and I got farmed out to an associate, not the lawyer I thought I booked with, for our consult. First words out of their mouths when we walked in were "Did you pay your fee?" Associate never said she was a "lawyer" until after 45 mins of us listening to her show her "pro-mom, anti-dad" side, that I asked her, and she said she was a lawyer too! So she called Jeff into the room, where he said "I need a card"......to take $5,000 all up front from us! Money hungry..not a good look for Summerville. Don't go unless you own Microsoft and have tons of money.

I hired Mr Hyland because he told me I had a slam dunk case. 1 year later, I was battling just to break even and not lose any parental rights that I had. It all came down to finances. He never expected my exwife to lie and fight I guess. Lol. He never filed inquiries I requested to prove my case and just wanted it over at the end. He was pushing me into a settlement that I didn't want but felt compelled to accept because it was obvious that he could care less. So overall, don't believe in him and dont hire him unless your pockets are deep. He appears to lose that loving feeling as the well dried up.

This lady, who has a small child herself, had me thrown in jail for my sperm donors attorney fees. She sentenced me too 30 days,I could get out when I paid my ex's attorney fees of $2300. I am an unemployed,single parent who home schools her son. Kimmons did not give me a chance to pay the money back over time, did not let me make arrangements for my child or his school work,she found me guilty of almost all the accusations, strictly on hear say and did not let my witnesses speak to prove these were lies. My son is 9 years old,his sperm donor wanted nothing to do with him and did not even meet him until he was 7 years old,he drinks and drives with my child in the vehicle but she didn't care about any of that. She was rude,nasty,biased and did NOT have the best interest of my child in mind.

I hired Natalie to do a simple, uncontested divorce. From the start, I explained that my ex was difficult and we needed to have everything done right the first time. My ex came to her office and signed all of the paperwork- or so I thought. The day of court, she arrived deshelved and entered the courtroom on her iPhone. Why ? Because she was scrolling and googling what to say to the judge. Seriously. I can't make this crap up. Toward the end, the judge flipped through the paperwork and asked where page x was. Come to find out, she forgot a page. The judge granted my divorce but not the agreement (custody, child support, visitation, etc) because of her incompetence. My ex took full advantage and refused to sign the missing page because he said he didn't trust her. She refused to help me any more and said, You got your $500 worth of work from me. Because of her mistake, I had no court order for support or visitation. It took me hiring another attorney, $10k in debt and receiving no child support for over a year to correct her massive screw up. Her error, point blank, cost me years of my life and thousands of dollars. She is a hot mess and shouldn't be allowed to even practice law.
