I did a conservatorship for my Mom of 92 with Dementia at The Probate House . Very hard thing to have to process and deal with. Worked with Sibylle Grebe and her assistant Nikki. A very long overdue thank you to Sibylle Grebe and Lorenzo Stoller for taking control of a seemingly out-of-control situation during the early days of Covid in 2020 in protecting my father and his estate from his deceased wife's children. I initially met with Sibylle to have her represent my dad after his wife had passed, in figuring out how to best protect his assets. While she was unable to represent him due to capacity issues, she was able to represent me. Sibylle had me move quickly to find the original trust documents which had likely been drafted without much input from my father a few years earlier, floating everything from making sure I had co-power of attorney and co-trustee powers on all the documents to considering a conservatorship. Lorenzo then took over the case and seamlessly helped draft new documents that protected my father and helped me keep oversight over his wife's children. My dad now resides with me in Washington state, and has since regained some capacity. Although he has shaky recollection of that year due to the stress of his grief and Covid, I am forever grateful to The Probate House for doing what needed to be done to protect the livelihood for which he had worked his entire life as a physician in Los Angeles. At 85, he has never been happier and is healthy. As a former estate planning and probate attorney, The Probate House is easily the best. Thank you, Sibylle and Lorenzo.

Nadine is very good! She’s so sweet and very busy! She takes time to discuss things with you and go through everything so you aren’t confused. If your case is anything like mine it’s lots of paperwork because your ex husband won’t stop taking you to court for every little thing. She is trying to help make that stop. I just wanted to take a minute to say how amazing Nadine was when we dealt with her. She was meant to be an Advocate for the child’s best interest, and she truly dug deep to really see and understand both parties while keeping in mind what was best for the child.
She changed her court order when she saw that one party clearly did not have respect for the court. Because of that action- she recommended reunification counseling. Anyone who has been separated from a child knows that isolation from one parent can have a huge affect on a child and whether or not they want to see the other parent, even if the other parent has done nothing wrong. The counseling allows the child to reconnect with the other parent with no barriers or influence. I feel it’s key in a custody battle especially when most law enforcement jurisdictions don’t force visitation. We spent a year in court trying every possible way to see her even-though we already had 50/50 custody . She listened to our pain and struggle when no one had before. As the Wife of a husband who has tried dearly to be part of his daughters life for over a decade with very little success, and no obvious allies, she stepped in and quickly saw the situation for what it was, someone finally to see the injustices that we had been experiencing for years, she did what was in the child’s best interest, she didn’t take sides she just went on the evidence that was presented before her, and I thank God for that, she was an angel to us. She is the only one who we ever felt cared, and really wanted to repair the situation for the child sake, she didn’t favor the mother, she didn’t favor the father.
She went with what they revealed to her in there many meetings and Conversations. She is truly a public servant who really cares about reunifying families whenever ever possible. I feel she went above and beyond the call of duty, and I will be eternally grateful.

Pat helped me with my divorce previously, which was a very difficult time for me. She was fantastic, helping me through the whole process. She worked very hard to ensure it was as positive an outcome for me as possible.

After researching online, I met with Pat back in July to discuss my case and options. She was compassionate, kind and very knowledgeable from the get-go, and I retained her to file a custody suit on July 29. Throughout the process of declarations, filing, serving, responding, mediating, etc., she was in constant communication and answered all of my emails within the hour -- if not just a couple minutes. By Sept. 13, we reached a wonderful custody agreement with my very combative co-parent and avoided a tenuous court process.
Pat always kept the best interest of my daughter as priority number one and advised me as such. And though I (thankfully) didn't have to see the inside of a court room to reach the custody agreement I desired, I've heard that Pat has a reputation for fighting for her clients aggressively and professionally in court. Debra is representing me in my divorce proceedings. My ex wife and her attorney are trying to make every step difficult for me. Constantly intimidating me, falsely making statements, not to mention being unresponsive to emails requesting documents. Debra is a fighter, and she will fight for your interests as if it were her own. During my divorce I was amazed how caring, honest, and compassionate she is with her clients. Everything is working out for me which I thought was near impossible. Mr. Hammons represented me in my legal suit against a contractor who terminated work on an existing contract without any notification. The contractor was pre-paid for the majority of the contract and had completed only a portion of the work. The law suit was against the contractor's bond to recover pre-paid expenses for unfinished work and the expenses to repair the unfinished work that was damaging the property.
Mr. Hammons was very professional and personable to work with. He also was very efficient in preparing the legal documents to expedite closure of the case.

What can I say, but Roxas Law is AMAZING! At first, the thought of going to court seemed so daunting. I had very little time with my daughter as the original court order was placed when my daughter was 3 months old. My ex moved to a different city, with no notice, and wanted to change the whole visitation pickup and hours. Therefore, I knew I had to go to court to have a new visitation schedule in place. I visited several law firms and once I went and sat down with Sandy, I knew Roxas Law was the one. She laid out all of the possibilities starting with a reasonable less costly, mentally and monetarily, approach of simply talking to one another with legal assistance, to mediation, to going to court. I knew she that could handle my extremely difficult ex and handle my particular situation with ease and professionalism.
I had not been granted access to my daughter since December 27, 2019. I started the court process in Mid January and the firm was so helpful and explained the whole process thoroughly. During this time, my ex avoided all of the phone calls from Troy and Sandy and made it extremely difficult to even serve her. Throughout this time, their professionalism never wavered and they kept me calm, as it was stressful to think that I would never get to see my daughter as my ex did everything in her power to avoid contact. After several attempts of trying to contact her, she was finally served and we had a court date set for March 20, 2020. However, everything came to a screeching halt on March 19, 2020 when Los Angeles was officially shut down due to COVID. Another disappointment, more stress, and more waiting without seeing my daughter and knowing if she was ok or not.
But, leave it to Sandy and Troy to come to the rescue! They had to inform my ex that the court date would be rescheduled due to COVID and it was unknown as to when that date would be. They reached out to my ex and asked her if the old visitation schedule could resume as it was not known when we would go to court. She refused citing COVID concerns. However, since we had a TON of evidence against her and how she interfered with my parenting time, refused to give me access to see my daughter, and many other things, her refusal would be one more piece of evidence against her. Once she was told, she quickly changed her mind and allowed my previous visitation schedule with my daughter.
We had another court date schedule for May and it was also pushed back. Throughout this time, Troy always reached out to ensure that everything was going as smooth as possible until we could go to court. If I had any issues with my ex, he was quick to handle it. We then had a court date on July 13, 2020. The big day finally arrived! Of course, I was terrified. Troy was very professional and eased my nerves and always explained what was coming up and let me know the possible outcomes. The judge granted me everything I wanted and more with the exception of full legal custody. It was a huge victory!!! I could not have done it without their help!
Bottom line, you get what you pay for. The rates are beyond reasonable for the help, experience, and professionalism you get. The entire experience can seem daunting and scary and just beyond hope. But, I can tell you that it is not! Do not hesitate to contact Roxas Law for anything you need as you will not regret it. You will have a great team behind you to get you through the ups and downs of child custody issues. A big thank you to Sandy and Troy and everyone else at the office!!!!

I had the good fortune recently to closely participate in a divorce settlement case in which David Yamamoto represented a family member of mine, “J”. He did not pay attention to details in forms when filing with the city and documents were returned, then he did not follow through, but tell me that he was busy with something else. Even the opposing party threatened him with reporting him to the bar. He drafted a settlement that did not protect me as his client. At the end, he just told me to get another attorney. Wow. It is unfortunate that his practicing.

I hired Legacy and was told will take it to trial. During mediation l was told to settle today or l could lose everything, because they were not going to represent me in court. Then the attorney settled the case against my will. I was forced to settle for considerably less than the original trust stated.

I now realize why they call it a custody battle. I went to war with my former spouse to get custody of our children. We did take a few blows in the battles, but I had a great commander and chief keeping me out of harm's way, her name is Attorney Karen Miller. The worst thing in the world is that our children's college money was used to finance this war. The problem is not with the attorneys but with the system. Many times we went to court, the Judge would ask us to return. I just want readers to know that I wanted to give up on many occasions; however, Attorney Karen gave me positive reinforcement to not give up on my children. We finally have our victory, and I am grateful that I stuck it out with Attorney Karen. If you do what she says, you will do well in court. It does not happen overnight to get out of your troubles, but I had to realize that our legal woes did not happen overnight either. Bless you Attorney Karen and your wonderful staff for always offering me and my family hope that we would prevail. I still owe you and your staff that dinner by the ocean.

Ms. Miller cares about her clients. I have been a client for the last 15 years since my eldest son was 3.
Fortunately he just turned 18 and is no longer a victim of his mother. I have 2 younger children, 16 and 14. We are still going to court everytime their mother wants to make a change in their stable program. Everytime their mother looses thanks to Ms. Miller's superior skills as an attorney. The children's mother has hired over 6 attorneys in the last 15 years and all have of those attorneys have been defeated mainly because I have had Ms. Miller at my side. Thank you for being a winner for my chikdren and saving them from their unstable mother. If you have a horrible ex who keeps taking yiu back to court, I would highly recommend Ms. Miller. Joe, Julia and the rest of the team have always been the most professional yet kind lawyers to work with. When you don't know what your rights are, when you don't know what the laws say -it leaves you feeling powerless. Having an attorney's help gives you back that power. But finding one that's going to help is like looking for a needle in a haystack. I found a list of attorneys on a Google search and Mr Steven Harowitz was one of them. He answered the phone and I told him I had a few questions, could he help or direct me. I was expecting him to tell me that he thought I was someone else calling and that he didn't have any time. Instead, he was super kind and he answered my questions, specifically. His answers were well thought out. They made sense and they were helpful. Had I not called, I would have been ignorant of what my rights are and I wouldn't have known that what was bothering me happens to other people, regularly. Mr Harowitz even said to call back if I needed him again, which felt too good to be true. I called back and he was good for it.

Back in 2004, I retained her to represent me in a custody case. Time was of the essence due to my wanting to take my child overseas for a job relocation. I had a hearing on a specific date. I asked her if she could meet the tight deadline with her schedule. She said she could. A few days before the court date when I couldn’t reach her, I was informed by her office that she was on vacation!!! I was absolutely livid. The court date was rescheduled. When she finally did appear in court on behalf, I did not feel she represented me because my ex ended up getting the better end of the deal with major concessions when I already had sole physical custody. I really wanted to file a formal complaint. For future custody and child support issues, I fared way better representing myself pro se.

I spoke to Ms. Brown and her paralegal, Carol, a couple of months ago regarding the conservatorship of my daughter, who is in a longterm care facility. I talked to Carol several times before speaking to Ms. Brown. Based upon my experience with a previous attorney, I was taken by the compassion, understanding and kindness that Carol showed me in those initial encounters. She offered me some ideas for handling a particularly difficult situation before setting up an appointment with Ms. Brown. When the need became more pressing, I finally talked to Christine, who took a practical approach to the predicament in which I found myself and in the end, saved me from a prolonged court fight and significant fees. I can't recommend this firm highly enough. In my experience, there aren't many attorneys who will take on conservatorship matters as they can be fraught with emotion and contentiousness. These women have kind hearts and that is rare in the legal profession, whether due to training or personality. I found in this firm that it is possible to have compassion and still be professional.

Year after year, we have been told by other lawyers and are school district what are son can't have for his disabilities. I needed to set up my living trust, so my neighbor recommended Mr. Brandlin. He has been Mr. Brandlin’s client for over 10 years and spoke of him with great admiration. Of course, I did my due diligence and researched Mr. Brandlin and I was very impressed with his credentials. His confidence, enthusiasm & professionalism were fantastic! I was a bit nervous that I would have a hard time understanding the lawyer-talk, but he spoke very clearly in plain language which I could understand and he was very thorough.
My trust was created fast & hassle free. Mr. Brandlin also recommended that I establish an LLC to own my investment property in order to limit my personal liability.
