Ethical, conscientious, professional and knowledgeable. I can't say enough about Cathy Kim, she definitely does her job extremely well. Words alone can't express my gratitude for not only all of her diligent work, but for always going above and beyond. Cathy had to deal with several unscrupulous individuals on my behalf, and she had a big hand in saving my sanity. She often had to deal with me when I was an emotional mess, and she was able to calm me down and explain things in a manner that was always reassuring. She advised me of my fiduciary responsibilities as a Trustee and guided me through painful probate and litigation matters. I count it a great pleasure and privilege to express to others my experience with the Ernest Joon Kim Law Firm, and in particular the services rendered my family by Attorney Catherine Kim.
I had just lost my dear sister and found myself experiencing for the very first time, the daunting process called Probate. Desperately seeking answers I discovered AVVO and submitted my concerns in hopes that someone would enlighten and assist me in my efforts. Attorney Ernest J. Kim responded with a full page summary addressing all my questions and concerns. I immediately felt that with an empathetic and understanding attorney as this, how could I go wrong with retaining their services. They were the fourth firm I had contacted, and the only ones that were not offended by my need to know and understand the Probate process so I could effectively provide what was required of me to the attorney representing me. I telephoned the firm and Ms. Catherine Kim responded.
From our first encounter I felt very comfortable in discussing all the issues with Ms. Kim. Oftentimes I was overwhelmed with grief, the probate process, the difficulty in finding a genuine, caring attorney who was not too busy to answer my questions with courtesy, professionalism and patience. I could not have found a more skilled and adept attorney than Ms. Kim. She is knowledgeable, conscientious, courteous, trustworthy, kind, patient, and compassionate. She addressed all my concerns and the many questions plaguing me regarding this intimidating Probate process. She quieted me and guided me through all my anxiety. No amount of words can express my sincere and deepest gratitude for her support and assistance.
Ms. Kim was always available to me and responded promptly to my telephone calls and emails. She was there to help me at every juncture going above and beyond the call for Probate services. I always felt at ease, burdens lightened and encouraged that I could do all that was required of me.
As busy as Ms. Kim may have been, I never felt rushed off the telephone or that she was too busy to assist me in working through every issue. Rather, she patiently took the time to explain in laymen terms what I needed to know, ensuring that all concepts were clear, concise, and understandable, so that I would be in a position to make good informed decisions.
Within only three days after retaining her services Ms. Kim represented me in court. She kept me informed and abreast of all court actions. She provided easy and understandable explanations of issues and provided legal counsel in all areas of concern to me, some even being outside of Probate. There is no doubt in my mind that these past two years of going through the probate process, the encouragement and support I received from Ms. Kim is immeasurable. She exudes integrity in all she does.

I retained John Dodd to represent me in the Court of Appeal after a portion of my stipulated divorce agreement was set aside by a new and incompetent family court judge.

I hired the firm of Law Offices of Faud Haghighi, after myself and two friends were involved in a serious car accident. At first one of my family members recommended another firm which handled my case for about two months after the accident. Once I realized that they had nothing at all, I was referred to Law Offices of Faud Haghighi by my neighbor who recommeded them after they had resolved their immigration case. The office was courteous, professional and immediatley return my phone calls. After about three months of handling my case the insurance wanted to depose myself and my friends. Immediatley after the deposition Mr. Haghighi was able to obtain the maximum policy limit from the insurance. I would highly recommend Mr. Haghighi and his office for any legal problems you may have. And although I hope I won't need to, I would not go anywhere else if involved in an auto accident!

Christine has been very thorough and responsive to my needs concerning my situation for my mother who had dementia. Mr. Brown is an oustanding attorney. His line of communication with his clients is superior. I know alot of attorneys expect the paralegals & legal assistants to handle clients because they are dealing with the courts, and other attorneys. Alan brown is an outstanding lawyer who is brilliant. The first thing you will be impressed with is his integrity. Mr. Alan Craig Brown, Esq. is not only a professor of law but a very skilled trial lawyer, and, also is a member of the American Board of Trial advocates (for non-lawyers like myself, they accept only the very best trial lawyers, who are heavily vetted by lawyers, judges, clients and peers. In other words, he is in the Top 1%.) It became very apparent why he is so exceptional early on in our working relationship. Before I even sat down with Mr. Brown he had spent hours reviewing material i emailed him and did his own research about my case before we even met; he and then spent two hours discussing it with me. There are countless reasons I would recommend Mr. Brown. He is very detailed, misses nothing. Always extremely well- prepared and wins almost all his cases. Lawyers don't get too much better than this. I would recommend him very highly.

Mr. Murphy is hands down the best lawyer in practice. His many years of experience are an asset that is hard to find. He had great communication with the judge and knowledge of the law and codes to get me a better than expected outcome on multiple cases. I would recommend him without hesitation and plan to use him again for any legal needs that may come up and I have used several other lawyers to compare him to who seem incompetent in comparison. He is very prepared and does a lot of research before stepping foot in court - traits that are not easy to come by.

Did a family illness lead to a legal and financial nightmare--as though you had walked onto the stage of an absurdist play? And then, when you turned to a lot of professionals for help, they gave you the wrong advice or absurd decisions and then turned their backs on you? The Kim team to the rescue! In my case involving a family trust, they went to work immediately, with Mrs. Kim taking down my details by phone; they stayed in very close contact by both phone and email; they were able quickly to write the legal opinion I needed even better than I had imagined. Unlike another lawyer I had previously hired, the Kim team wasn't stumped by a trust with a provision somewhat different from the usual. They also have been clear on their fees. Only when you've felt utterly legally and financially helpless can you understand the value of what Mr. Ernest J Kim's team can do for you: the peace their competence, speed, attention to detail, and communication skills provide. They immediately understood my predicament and were thinking ahead; they were never hard to reach by phone or email. Only the word "excellent" suffices to describe my experience with Mr. Kim's team. Christina Stone's expertise was in elder law, and she was amazing! She helped my brother and I when our mother was very ill and in a convalescent hospital and when our parents passed away. She is a very good listener, compassionate, sensitive and thoroughly professional. With regard to our mother's longterm illness, her medicare ran out and we needed to qualify her for medi-cal. Ms. Stone helped us through this difficult time and found solutions for us. When drawing up a new trust after mother passed away, she asked the right questions and helped my father find the equitable and reasonable solutions.

I am one of those who was hit by the economic downturn and faced losing my home. I had many a sleepless night and my marriage suffered from the stress.
I had received a notice of trustee sale after wasting time with the so-called foreclosure help agencies and waiting in long lines at big venue save-your-home events.

David is simply one of the most capable and honest lawyers I have met. I have worked with him for almost 2 years during my divorce proceedings. He has always put the client and my children's interest first and has worked diligently to resolve my case as efficiently as possible. He has the integrity and fairness that unfortunately lost on most lawyers today. His advice has always been right on. His paralegal Daniel Ellison is better than 90% of lawyers I have met and should be given an honorary "JD" himself! The two combined with the other assets of the firm Hughes & Hughes make them, in my opinion, the best family law firm in Orange County if not in all of Los Angeles. It's so hard to forget in a contentious divorce, but the firm is focused on doing the right thing and having the best out come for what's really important: in the end it's all about what's best for the kids and not the $$.

I hired the law office of Prescott & Prescott to help me with my divorce and custody battle.A co-worker of my mom's recommended them to me. He stated "they were sharks and fought tooth and nail for their clients and he knows, as that is who represented his soon to be ex-wife and Prescott & Prescott got what their client wanted and if he could he would have hired them."
This was a very hard part of my life to go through. The fact of my family falling apart, or the fear of possibly losing my kids. Or having to base any of my future life around my soon to be ex-husband. It was hard with how my ex acted. That's why I am so glad that i went with Prescott & Prescott they were great the entire 3-3.5 years this went on for. They were on top of everything. I am the type of person that tries to stay 5 steps ahead and wants to know every possible outcome most people this annoys. But not them they took the time and made sure i knew all i wanted to know. There were many times I was just scared, nervous and flat out sick with all that was going on. Every single person that works in that office made me feel better, stronger and made me see what actually matters and put my mind at ease several times. they were able to get me to stop worrying so much and even laugh at times. They all put great care and detail into all aspects of their jobs and go way above and beyond. They always responded right away to phone calls and emails. Which I greatly appreciated.
Valerie Prescott represented me in court and she is a shark. She is great in and out of the court room. She gave me more confidence when i was in court and the entire duration of this. Never once did i ever feel like she wasn't doing her best or doing what was in my best interest. She knows it all and then some. There were days where we had to spend all day in court, not her fault it was busy. But we would go over everything she would even answer questions I had regarding other matters. We would joke, laugh and talk about our families and share pictures and memories. To me this quality of hers is very important because she knows how much a parent loves their child and wants the best for them. She also had lots of great advice to offer about the entire situation. Also being able to relate to your client on a different level aside from attorney/client but as a parent made me feel more confident in my decision to hire Prescott & Prescott. At the end of this ordeal I was left feeling like more than just a client.
I will forever be grateful for all Prescott & Prescott (their entire office) did for me. I know if anything needs to be readdressed i will look no other place than Prescott &Prescott. I will always be their client and would recommend them to anyone who needs a great family law attorney.

My mom and dad (best parents ever!) Decided to hire Barry for my cases. I just found out, Barrys first name is James! Wow! Well i ended up getting 4 months in LA county for not signing up for a DV class (at time was homeless, and currently still homeless!) . What a great job. Oh i also got a DUI , but not only did we not fight it (no officers ever saw me drive) but i did 3 days in county during my 4 month sentence, and i still have to tak dui classes (they lock me inside for 2 hours) and substance abuse classes, which is great, because i am still wondering where my 2011 cadillac escalade is that my mom possibly stole from me , and my audi A6 too... but hey, who cares because i am just so ecstatic i ate dinner tonight(oh wait no dinner, i got fat so i gotta no eat now. Thanks again today to my psych eval (and my call back from my regular psychs call back center) thanks Depakote!

Alex is knowledgeable when it comes to family law. He predicted what would most likely happen when we went to court and he was 100% spot on.
My recommendation is to allow him to guide you in the correct direction, he won't guide you astray. In dealing with family law it's easy to allow your emotions to take the front seat it's beneficial to have a trusted attorney by your side.

In 2012 our family was involved in a rear end accident on the 210 freeway. Both my wife and daughter were taken to the hospital via ambulance. The individual that struck our vehicle was uninsured; therefore, we were forced to file a claim with our own insurance company. Our insurance company did not want to pay us a fair settlement, so we retained attorney Connor for our uninsured motorist claim. To date the attorney has been awesome.
I would highly recommend Attorney Thomas Connor to anyone looking for an auto accident attorney in Orange County.

The employment lawyers at Stevens and McMillan were amazing! I originally found them on Yelp and because of their great reviews decided to call for some legal employee-employer advice on Sexual harassment in the workplace and wrongful termination cases. I didn't expect to speak with one of the lawyers initially but I did on my first call and give them HUGE points right there!
Dan listened to my story with and he explained to me how the law would work in regards to my specific situation. He gave me several different scenarios of how it could play out the best possible source of action.
The conversation took about 20 minutes, and at no charge I must add. I highly recommend Daniel and his firm Stevens & McMillan Employment Lawyers based on the care I received, the patience and thoughtful observation and constructive feedback.

I used Mr. Styskal for a conservatorship matter and I found him to be an extremely helpful attorney. This process did not seem to be anything that any other attorney could not have done, but what I got from Mr. Styskal was personal attention. Mr. Styskal was there for me emotionally and really helped me through this very emotionally trying situation. Mr. Styskal really seemed to understand my position and was able to offer advice for coping and understaniding my position. Not only did he have personal advice, but he was very well equipted to recommend services in the assitance of managing my mother's well being.
