Only reason I’m giving two stars instead of one is because of how friendly and helpful the paralegal that works here is. I sent my girlfriend to a consultation here in order to gain custody through a divorce and after explaining the case work to him instead of helping her started asking her questions that made her feel like he was attacking her mental health. She stood up and walked out after he told her to go home and take her medicine. Needless to say, we will not be paying the 200$ consultation fee he asks for just to have an appointment set up to be insulted.

I was charged with a serious felony, a crime I was falsely accused of. I was arrested without investigation, jailed for nine days, and then released on bond. It’s been close to three years now, and this nightmare still hasn’t ended. This law firm cost me $40,000 and made many empty promises. I was indicted by prosecutors who fabricated evidence, left me unemployed to this day, my 38 year professional medical career lost, my 401 K totally gone, and much more. I demanded constitutional speedy trials several times, and was told by this attorney that he had filed for it. Turned out he never did. He said he had communicated with prosecutors for me as I asked to either end my case and drop charges or go to trial. He never did. In the beginning, I was told my case would be over in six months. Then a year went by, another year,
And now it’s been almost three years, and not Kelly nor his partner have done anything to end my case. I eventually fired this law firm and hired other attorneys to get the job done. I honestly believe that I would’ve done much better with a public defender instead of this law firm who didn’t follow through with anything, with the exception of modifying my bond twice. I would not recommend Kelly Burk or this law firm to anyone, especially, if you’re charged with a serious crime. Like I said, many empty promises and nothing done. I demanded some of the retainer fee be returned to me, and again nothing was returned.

Kelly and Jeff are great attorneys. They will stop in the middle of a store to talk to people that have questions about certain laws and regulations. From Traffic Court to a murder trial they both have done it all successfully. More specifically, while it may seem simple to some, being a victim of a crime where my needs need to be met as well as the defendant's; Kelly Burke is there to make sure that I am represented in a fair and honorable manner. If restitution is due, I will be repaid my fair share. Kelly fights for the same and big companies. Just like mine.

Ed Varner should be avoided at all costs. This clown handled my divorce upon recommendation from a co-worker. My ex-wife might as well have had 2 lawyers representing her. Her's and Ed Varner. They both conspired against me to ensure my ex wife received 1/2 of my military retirement, a new car, Health Insurance paid for life, and an extra $300/month just to make sure I knew I was screwed. There were no allegations of extra-marital activities in this case. Ed is self-serving and incompetent. Steer way clear.

Zero motivation, no drive to work your case, you have to push him constantly to do anything, doesn't seem to care at all. Talks about retirement, which he should do just that, retire! I heard he was great at one time, not sure what happened. Made me feel like my case was a burden that he would have rather not had to deal with.

Mr. Varner unfortunately lost a family member and due to the circumstances it has clouded his judgement and drive. He simply would not do anything. I had to push him to do the simplest things. I had a cousin using him at the same time simply say he does not have it anymore, he needs to retire.

Communication was very poor. He missed meetings prior to my case because he was too busy and bragged about a big case he had going saying he charged people based on what they thought they could afford. He sent several duplicate emails of agreement papers even after we discussed the very same papers and never once sent them back to the other party. He charged me a large retainer saying my case wasnt likely to settle. Then asked for more money before even going to mediation much less a final hearing. Then he try's to withdrawal without refunding any of my retainer fees and never sent any type of bill. Very unprofessional and would not recommend him to anyone.

He's been on my son's case for a year, as a public defender. He got him bond. Didn't tell him he would be on 24/7 lock down! He can't go anywhere! Can't go to work, no way to support himself or his son.... for an entire year. Can't even go to the grocery store, he can't leave his house unless he's dying and this man has done nothing!!!! He will not return a call and if he does, it's only to lie and never talk to you again!! I'm scared to see what will happen in court!

When my son was 10 years old he was struck with a stick by a karate instructor, leaving a big red welt. I gave Veline the pictures to start a case against the instuctor, he did Nothing. Turns out he was friends with the family of the idiot Karate teacher, and he conveniently lost the pics. Last name was Carter. I never forgot. Never will forget. I watched and Karma dealt this lawyer some tragic hands.

Initial consult went good, said he would get on it right away, so he was retained. Instead, it took a month to finally file a divorce not involving children for my daughter and took 2 months for him to file the restraining order that was needed the day of consult. He was 40 min. late to first court date and was unprepared. Temporary order awarded was much less due to him being unprepared and did not disclose all the debt that was provided to him. Still waiting on modification of temporary order and contempt order filing as the other party is now 24 days late. Requested an itemized bill over a week ago, and still has not produced one. In the process of filing complaint with Georgia Bar for ineffective assistance of counsel and figure out how to come up with more money to hire someone else and get this finalized. Due to our terrible experience with Mr. Veline, I WOULD NOT recommend him to anyone.

The last review was not an exaggeration. Once they have your money, good luck even getting in contact with them. 2 months after paying "court fees," I have heard nothing else concerning my case. They won't answer the phone either. If you have a court case, save your money, be patient and find literally ANY other lawyer to plead your case. Or you could come out better pleading it yourself.

She ingnored remcomendations from court appointed doctor not to have my child seen by this man. I also believe she wouldn't hear my concerns because this monster was also white and I was of Mexican decentt..Her falure to put this monster behind bars has also permitted a child rapist to continue to gofree. My child is safe because I moved and had the case reviewed by a different Judge. A judge who took my child's fear and medical recomendations seriously. A judge who didn't pass judgment on my character based on my ethnicity.
