My lawyer, Andrellos Mitchell, is an outstanding litigation attorney. He represented me in a real estate case involving my condominium where the Condo Association and its Management Company breached their contractual obligations after a fire damaged my unit. The defendants hired very large law firms. They tried to get the case dismissed, but were unsuccessful. Mr. Mitchell is ethical, knowledgeable, and aggressive in the litigation process. He fights hard for his clients, but he isn't cheap. In the legal profession, you get what you pay for. While Mr. Mitchell does not make any guarantees of success, he does promise to give you his best efforts and seek a positive outcome for you. All he asks in return is that you cooperate with him, assist him with your case, and pay your bill.

Mr. Mitchell is an excellent employment lawyer. Ignore the fake negative reviews. Mr. Mitchell was hired for my employment case in state government. He responded quickly. We met for a business lunch. He is very articulate and thorough in his interview and review of your documents. He quickly contacted my employer in writing and is handling the matter. I have not had any more harassment at my job to date. In fact, my employer has tried to offer me a promotion.
For Your Information (FYI): The negative reviews are from fake clients.
1. Real clients don’t make “inquiries” when they contact a lawyer. That’s not how the legal business works.
2. Real clients pay money for a consultation fee to meet with the lawyer.
3. Real clients sign a retainer agreement and pay a retainer fee for representation.
4. Fake/Broke clients don’t want to pay for legal services.
5. Google and some other sites allow anyone to make reviews without proof that the person actually hired the lawyer. So the sites can’t be trusted.
6. Fake reviewers are trying to blackmail my lawyer for money. Not going to happen.
7. Don’t believe the fake reviews, Mr. Mitchell is a great lawyer!

There's a famous song which includes in the lyric the words "...wonderful, counselor..." and that's how I describe Mario Herman. I engaged Mario to advise and represent me in a potentially contentions and costly legal matter. Mario provided insight and wisdom which changed the way I viewed my situation. Where I saw weakness he saw strength. Where I saw conflict he saw leverage. Where I saw insecurity he exuded confidence.

Nick Woodfield mishandled my employment case and mislead me to sign a release agreement with a lot of holes in it. Mr Woodfield was assigned to my case by his firm and I did not have any say in him leading the case. Once I decided to settle, I clearly provided Mr Woodfield with a list of key provisions that need to be included in the settlement, but he was not able to achieve any of the key ones. He initially presented himself as the best in the industry suggesting he would do a great job, but his results were terrible. Mr Woodfield made many mistakes along the way, including process mistakes, that hurt the case much. Mr Woodfield did not even clearly update me on his lack of success in getting concession from the other side. I would find his failure to achieve the set objectives while going through latest versions of the settlement agreement. There were material differences between him and the lawyer representing the other side. Based on the email exchanges I saw, the lawyer for the other side would say "my client needs xyz" in a very caring manner while Mr Woodfield would say "my client demanded xyz" presenting it as if it was an extra unnecessary demand. Mr Woodfield is also a rough communicator. In an effort to cover up his mistakes and weaknesses, Mr Woodfield would sometimes raise his voice and communicate in a very nasty manner
On the positive side, he was available to chat whenever needed and respected our schedule and would show up for meetings consistently. Overall, I was highly dissatisfied with Mr Woodfield's handling of my case and both his process and result were NOT great.

I retained Nicholas regarding an employment law matter that was very tricky! Needless to say, 99.99% of the cases in this area result in an unfavorable outcome. Nicholas quickly guided us to a successful outcome and we ended up in the 0.01% that have a positive outcome! I am incredibly impressed! He had substantial experience in the area, attended conferences where it was discussed, and had discussed the matter with attorneys on various sides of the matter so he knew how every side would view it. He did not need to research the matter and knew the law in great detail!
Additionally, we were constrained on time, so we needed his assistance several times within a constrained window. Nicholas and his team went way out of their way to help us, explain how everything works, and help us navigate through the issue to a successful outcome! I will use him and his team again! I recommend him to others as well! Exceptional experience! He made a very stressful experience so much better!

When my husband of 25 years and I began the process of divorce we thought that ours would be a simple case and that we could essentially "handle" most of it ourselves. Luckily for us (and for our children), we invested in the Collaborative Divorce process and even more so that I had the Barbara walk me through the many painful conversations required.
From our first conversation I knew that she would take the time to listen to me while keeping the conversation focused on a just outcome for everyone. When I wanted to speed through painful or confusing aspects, she focused me on the process that she and her wonderful team knew would save time in the end, and when I wanted to cave in altogether she would not let me abandon my own interests.
Barbara said at one point: "It's obvious that the two of have you have come to this point in part because your trust has been compromised. Our goal is to use a PROCESS that you can both trust so that we can move forward."
It worked. While still a painful, our children were shielded from the worst of our impulsive and hurtful "solutions" and we were able to begin the work of co-parenting them from a much more civil and stable place. I will be forever grateful.

I was referred to Barb initially by a good friend after my friend's ex-husband was represented by Barb in their divorce. Even though Barb represented her ex-husband against her, my friend was impressed with Barb's professionalism, intelligence, negotiating skills, experience and reasonableness. Even though my friend, an attorney, was being represented by the top large family law firm in the city, she still referred me to Barb over her own attorney, who she liked. My case was difficult and complex because my ex-husband was an abusive husband and father with mental illness, but he was also ivy-league educated, active in the community and church, and on the surface a model, successful citizen and a persuasive liar. It took 4 years of intense high conflict divorce and custody litigation to unmask him and secure sole legal and physical custody and with my ex- only having limited supervised visitation with the children now. While he had 3 different top attorneys who bailed on him for various reasons, Barb was there through it all. The constant pleadings, hearings and trials, Child Protective Service, GAL issues, police calls, convincing scared and uncomfortable witnesses to testify for the good of the children, stress, disappointment in the family law process for failing my children and finally, justice! She is shrewd and savvy and full of hard fought experience. She was respected by all of the judges and I had 3 judges over the 4 years. She was very connected in the family law arena. She knew all of the opposing counsel we encountered, and referred me to various top notch support service providers, mediators, etc. She was compassionate and a great counselor but also firm and logical and didn't let me get caught up in emotion and off point. Most importantly, I learned a lot about the proper preparedness and organization required for litigation, the drafting of motions and responses, what are the main points that need to be addressed and what is extra or not needed. She explained everything she was doing to me so I understand why she was doing things or what shaped her position. Also, even though luckily I am not in need of her full time service, she always in responsive and makes herself available for my questions. Her staff paralegal and associates are great too and always treated me like family. I am constantly recommending Barb when anyone is in need of a family law attorney and my friends who never even met Barb but of course heard about her constantly also recommend her!
