From working with Karen, I learned that she is patient and detailed in her work. She looked out for me by answering all of my questions and spending the time with me to go through the paperwork to present my case so that my case was presenting as strong and factual in the court of law. Dealing with my situation was stressful, but she kept working with me so that the details were all organized and that I could present my case in a confident manner. Starla Zehr helped me navigate the divorce process that included 2 small children within the Oakland County, Michigan court system. I was grateful to have had her expertise and ear when it came to representing me and my best interests. She always took into account my overall situation and presented me with all the potential options I could pursue. She assisted me in making reasonable and thoughtful decisions during stressful times and fought for the issues I was steadfast on with her lawyer gloves strapped on. As lovely as she is, I don't *hope* to see Starla again, but with that tricky ex, it could well be a reality eventually. I am just glad I have a solid professional to turn to should anything that requires a motion or a judge ever comes up in the future. I had a couple of referrals to attorneys, but Starla actually represented my ex's 1st wife in her divorcing him, so I looked her up, saw she was closeby in Waterford, took it as an overall sign from the Gods and gave her office a ring. The time she took with me during the free consultation was generous and the information she provided was eye-opening. Figured hiring her would make also make it twice as nice for the ex, so I would like to thank him for the personal referral when. He would periodically mention Starla's name over the years with low-grade hate, wincing eyes, and a wee bit of a snarl. If that isn't the best form of marketing for a lawyer referral, I don't know what is. And who doesn't love a highly personal recommendation, right? So put Starla Zehr on your short-list of lawyer consultations if things are getting hinky in your marriage. She put me in my place when it was needed, but I always felt like she had my back, too. Good stuff.

From the first consultation, Daryl provided clear & straightforward answers. With his legal assistance, I was able to successfully obtain restricted driving priviledges after facing a 1 year implead consent suspension. His expertise was further validated by the fact that he managed to reach an agreement with the prosecurer without having to go on record during my circuit court hearing. My wife and I are both Real estate Brokers. We met Atty White at the Oakland Co REIA meetings. His landlord seminar presentation was both affordable and his advice was worth his weight in gold. I could not have found better legal representation if he were my own brother. He is always absolutely uber-professional in his representations for our firm. He has also produced our family law will and trust; It wasn't cheap, but, my word, it was certainly thorough. Atty White has since represented our family in District court for everything from traffic tickets to elder care planning, to personal injury lawsuits.
He has represented our firm, Real Estate US LLC in the 36th district in Wayne and Oakland counties and he excels in business and K law (Contract law) in areas like M&A, insurance, and complex, real estate title matters. I am constantly amazed at Mr. White's strengths in every legal discipline that we have discussed. He is a Real Estate Law Professor at WCC. Atty White is truly one of a kind and one of the great ones! He plans your legal strategy and the time and costs to your opposition by his taking the case to a higher court at the very outset of the case. I'd say, It is safe to assert that there is certainly NO ONE more connected in LARA agency work in Lansing than this Atty scholar. during the 2011 depression, His analytical skills provided our legal offense revealing these business speculators' debt buyers and the 50th district court tossed out their misleading, false, and scurrilous claims. These people's reprehensible shenanigans were immediately dismissed within 30 minutes, including the judge's 15-minute lecture to the plaintiffs. In our world and association, Atty White is quite a remarkable person, to say the very least.

John has setup up different trusts to protect my family assets, my parents assets and my kids future.

As a follow-up to Mr. Steven Chait's (Reg # 33747) legal services. It was apparent Mr. Chait was not looking at the case filings. During my case, Mr. Kevin Even (Reg # 38599), the attorney representing the defendant uploaded a range of unredacted documents to PACER.
For readers that are unfamiliar with the system, the purpose is below.
(The Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) service provides electronic public access to federal court records. PACER provides the public with instantaneous access to more than 1 billion documents filed at all federal courts).
Note once the records are placed on PACER, the information is indexed on the web in addition to third party legal compiler websites.
However, Mr. Chait failed to look at these sensitive filings. What is also extraordinary, I had to notify Mr. Chait about the incident after discovering these PII unredacted documents on the web, however it had been already months later and therefore the unredacted data dump by Mr. Kevin Even was not curable.
The range of unredacted documents involving PII data that Mr. Kevin Even uploaded was personal identifying information including but not limited to social security numbers, date of births and addresses.
Most importantly, the unredacted documents also contained a three-year-old PII data. Subsequently my family was forced to place security freezes on credit reports and alerts with other relevant institutions.
Opinion: A word of caution to prospective clients. Do not engage the services, you will not receive effective legal representation.

During our case, Mr. Chait was asked to schedule the deposition for the defendant multiple times. We filed the case as a result of our former aircraft management company was not performing maintenance to the aircraft but collecting the money for the scheduled maintenance tasks. The defendant was rather deferring the inspections without notification to the lessee (Plaintiff). The management company deposition was essential to our case and Mr. Chait missed the deadline for the deposition. Even so, the defendant's counsel was less than 11 miles away from Mr. Chait's office. We feel this deposition was intentionally missed. What was the point of the case without the deposition of the management company contractually responsible for the maintenance of our aircraft.

I retained attorney Steve Chait as plaintiff’s counsel to represent myself and my company in an aviation lawsuit for breach of contract against Paradigm Jet Management and Jetaway Air Service. That representation was later expanded to represent my company in front of the Dept. of Transportation (DOT) in a civil enforcement action. His background seemed to make him an obvious choice for this case however he proved to be a complete disappointment. His services were terminated in the final stages of the lawsuit due to an overt act of placing the welfare of opposing counsel over the welfare of his clients and his violation of a Federal Rule of Civil Procedure causing the public filing of personal information that was required to be redacted from his pleadings. This error was done repeatedly and made worse by his failure to object or cure the very same conduct from both opposing attorneys.
Other errors made by Chait during the course of his lawsuit representation involved his failure to timely review discovery material, his failure to retain copies of material provided during discovery before returning it to the opposition without good cause, failure to recognize his subject -matter knowledge limitations and retain experts necessary for the case, and his failure to accomplish a critical deposition before the close of the discovery period. His representation in front of the DOT was ineffective and negligible. An aviation expert was retained to provide the technical-legal memorandum that produced a much more favorable result with that federal agency.
Chait’s representation was weak and negligent at best, or legal malpractice at worst. He was provided more than enough information to effectively and aggressively litigate this case. As a result of collateral actions, we engaged in to develop a defense charter certificate holder Paradigm Jet Management, and several pilot and mechanic employees are now involved in FAA enforcement actions pursuant to an investigation conducted by the Dept. of Transportation Office of the Inspector General made necessary due to the lack of FAA oversight of Paradigm Jet Management. That investigation substantiated our technical claims presented in the lawsuit.
I would never utilize Chait in the future for any legal representation, especially if opposing counsel is attorney Dean Greenblatt. Chait will not engage in any effective representation against Greenblatt but will do everything possible not to challenge or embarrass Greenblatt and place his welfare over the client's.

For over 8 years I have been associated and working with this attorney on more than one case. I have worked with him on child custody proceedings, personal injury proceedings and child support proceedings. In the very beginning I had a good outcome and was somewhat pleased with the outcome, however as the years have gone by, this attorney has neglected to respond to voice-mails, messages, and has let me almost lose the chance to take care of a very important matter due to statute of limitations. Luckily, I spoke with someone that advised me to fire him and retain new counsel which is what I have done. My new attorney is taking care of me case, my medical bills that were not getting paid, are finally getting paid. My house that was falling apart due to my injury is finally getting back on track and I have help to get through my day to day business.
Please be advised that this attorney does not care about what is going to happen to you and your family, please be advised that you will be treated poorly as less than a human when dealing with this attorney, and realize that he thinks he is not going to help you. He will not go the extra mile for his clients.

I have used this attorney for several years. I just recently had to hire another attorney because this attorney has not followed through on his promises, as well as I have yet to get any answers regarding my case from him.
He is required to represent me, however I do not feel that he did that, nor that he even cared.

I retained Debra on a divorce where the mother was unreasonable difficult. Debra did a fine job representing in court. The issues I had are with the judgment. There are open issues and language that was not specific which has created issues with parenting time and pretty much eliminated many of my rights as a father. Furthermore there was paperwork that was not filed to release the house to me which made it difficult to refinance and almost resulted in a foreclosure as I was unable to make the balloon payment. When I contacted Debra about it 5 years after the judgment see got the issue resolved but then sent me a bill. Great lawyer to talk to during a difficult time and will get your divorce resolved but you will have a lifetime of issues with the judgment long-term which will require you to hire another lawyer to clean up.
