My divorce was contentious, and I needed an attorney who was knowledgeable, compassionate and willing to explain the many options available for a favorable settlement. If you don't mind chasing after people then they might work for you. But they think it's normal to emphasize that they're going to call you right back right now even though they (apparently) have no intention of calling you back that day.
After I followed up at the end of the day with the person who was supposed to call me he said he didn't have my contact info and (apparently) had no idea who I was. So it sounds like he was never informed about me to begin with, so I would have never heard back.
They tried to apologize and tell me I should still talk to them. At first I didn't want to but I decided to give them a second chance just to see how their legal advice sounded. That was two days ago, they just ignored and ghosted me.
That's not the kind of respect most people are looking for from an expensive professional. There are a lot of highly rated lawyers in Philadelphia, you don't need a primadonna.

Where do I begin? Elizabeth, or Liz as I call her, is the best of the best. Family court matters including custody can be very stressful and complicated, but with Liz it was not. She is very compassionate, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. I met her on accident while trying to get custody of my 2 daughters in the court house in West Chester. I had no idea what to do or where to start. Liz came in the picture and within weeks I had primary custody. I've known her for almost 10 years and she will always be my go to!

Marc was patient, knowledgeable and flexible in helping us navigate through the purchase of a property. He was able to use his experience with law and real estate to draft an agreement of sale, discuss the closing process, arrange for the closing through the Title company and provide recommendations. I hired Alex for my husband drug case. Seemed like a decent guy at first. Talked a good game. 5,000 in his hand from day one! He became the worst attorney. He was very rude and arrogant. yelled at me more than the DA. No motions was put in. We waited 6 months for notes of testimony from the preliminary hearing. Which my husband requested day one of him being hired. Gave him 6500 just for to make it seem like he got the best deal possible when he did no work. Would not recommend for a criminal attorney. He was selling my husband out to the DA the whole time in my opinion. He will take your money!

Alex was able to deliver the best possible outcome in my traffic case. Without going into details, I was facing a minimum of a six month license suspension; we were ultimately able to plea down to charges that did not result in any license suspension.
I couldn’t be any happier with the level of support and ultimate resolution I received relative to the cost of Alex’s services.
Should I require legal services in the future, Alex will be my first stop, and I would gladly recommend him to friends/family.

My wife and I met with AJ in person to discuss our case. He did a wonderful job of setting expectations and answering all of our questions in the initial meeting. He kept in constant contact with us all the time letting us know next steps and any documentation that was required from us. We received an initial settlement offer from the insurance company which was low. Rather than settle for that offer AJ went back to the insurance company and was able to negotiate a larger settlement out of court. Bottom line AJ listens to his clients, is compassionate as our case involved our minor child, helped us keep our emotions in check, and got us results.

I tried to retain Marta as my attorney in my divorce. I was unable to as my former husband visited several attorneys in the area so I would not be able to have them represent me.
I was able to retain Marta for what all that was not settled with the divorce including child support.
My former husband was very dishonest through the entire divorce process and child support. Marta was the one who brought years of dishonesty to light! Krebs vs. Krebs, that rewarded me thousands of dollars in arrears money and the maximum I could receive in alimony!
In addition, Karen Schryver’s review below I am in agreement 110%. In sports, I have always stated to my children and asked of my players, that you give 110% effort.

For someone who is from a foreign country and was in a domestic violence marriage living in a shelter for months… It was very important to trust in someone again. A friend who knows my soon to be ex husband and me recommended me Martha . I don’t regret working with her. This has been a very difficult time for me dealing with traumas and healing from my concussion. Martha has always advised me the best. She is very professional and smart. I am embarrassed that she has to deal with my soon to be ex husband because he lacks empathy and is very controlling and can be very scary and rude sometimes. I was scared of him when I saw the type of divorce he filed a fault divorce lying, but Martha is not scared of anyone and has always treated everyone with respect but always fighting for my rights . Marta did an outstanding job handling my divorce in 2014. She was extremely attentive, caring, always prepared, knew how to handle difficult situations that arose, and there were many, always stayed on top of every small detail & fought for me and my rights right up until the divorce was finalized in June of 2016. This was a long & difficult divorce, but I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. I don’t think anyone could have done a better job than Marta & I am forever grateful for her hard work & dedication. Attorney Miller assisted me and my family with a Landlord//Tenant dispute and resolved our issue. Upon my first consultation with him, he listened to my case/grievance and jumped right in to help me. Our case with a giant company was quite unique and most lawyers did not have confidence to take our case. The added problem was because we were Canadians and we need US lawyer who should represent us in our absence in the US. Michael was courageous and undaunted to extend his professional help. I retained Mrs. Voit in 2007 for a petition to relocate my children. She did not waste my money and has good relationships with other attorneys. This relationship with opposing cousel, who is known for being obstinate, really paid off. We had a meeting and she calmy laid out a fair offer and walked the opposite side into her offer. I got everything I wanted and made some concessions that didn't hurt.
She kept me reasonable and squished my desire to "win" against my ex, but kept it about the kids.
She is fiesty and very busy. You must stay on top of her is all I would caution.
