Jason Abrams took my retainer and then refused to speak with me for more than a year. In my opinion, I don’t see how this isn’t stealing. And the craziest part, he was referred by a good friend of mine that lives in his town. If this is how he treats friends, ask yourself how he might treat you. Stay far far away. Unbelievable that he still has a bar license.

Dan brings integrity to his profession, something I suspect he demonstrates in his personal life as well. During my 13 month divorce, he continually coached me on the value of restraint, always concerned with how any action might be perceived should we head to trial. His patience, coupled with his relentless attention to detail, resulted in a positive outcome when my divorce turned from amicable to litigious.
Dan successfully reduced my now ex-wife's settlement demand by 85%. Her lawyer tried an aggressive approach that Dan's experience and coolheadedness was able to navigate and resolve using the facts of our case.

Irina has successfully helped me and my family with removing conditions on our green card. Irina and her team have prepared an extensive documentation package and filed it right on time. It was prepared so well we even had our interview waived when it was reviewed. Going through a divorce is stressful enough. Do not bring this man into your life unless you're looking to make it more stressful, and lose all your money while you're at it. Towards the end of the literal YEARS I was stuck with Dan (got too far in and couldn't afford starting over with another retainer somewhere else), I really started to believe Dan was a malicious person. As some years have passed and I have more perspective on it now, I see he is someone who is simply just lazy and in it for the $$. To pay this man $500/hour is both sickening and laughable when I think about what he actually did during that time. A whole lot of nothing. He is arrogant, overpriced, and just a lazy man. There's plenty of decent overpriced lawyers on the Gold Coast. Go find one, because Dan Murphy isn't it.

I’m an unsatisfied client of Tom Drew who I hired for Estate Planning. He didn’t invest the time or have patience to properly educate us about his estate plans and was intolerant to accommodate and address our concerns. His estate plan could have been better formatted with articles headings, an index, more definitions and key words notations to easily reference subjects and to facilitate comprehension. We couldn't go forward with the estate plans he submitted. The relationship was terminated and not in a pleasant manner. We lost our $2,215 advance.

He was ok. Recommended through a family member. Professional, yet reserved. However, I can't really feel genuinely grateful toward him after learning a year later that he initially didn't want to take my case, as if my case was "beneath" his stature. In retrospect, he didn't really fight for me as much as I would have wanted. Still never received justice for someone vandalizing my car or the supposed victims harassing me back then. He did just enough to tolerate my case.

Livia is smart and she came recommended a while back. I sense over time that her business has shifted or slowed down for whatever reason (definitely does not have as many clients as before) since changing firms. She's gotten so aggressive with her approach to cases, and it also trickles down to insane amounts of billing. Nothing is focused on resolving issues, only on litigating and finding excuses to drag out conflict and bill more. Having had attorneys who gave me straight talk and encouraged me to be reasonable and, when appropriate, at least try to settle, I know a red flag when I see one who does not encourage this in their clients--its a sign they need to bill more hours. Unfortunately this comes at the expense of your case.

I entered the office to sign paperwork and forgot the lawyers name I was working with. Upon asking for a minute to look it up, the receptionist said "how do you come to a lawyers office and not know who you're seeing". I'm a highly educated professional but given the emotional situation had difficulty with name recall. A lawyer's office should be a place to help people in difficult positions. This receptionist is condescending, rude and it's embarrassing to have this type of staff in the front of the house. I would recommend they reconsider who is greeting and directing their clients.

I recently hired Susan to handle a divorce that was uncontested and had a post-nupt guiding the entire divorce proceeding. Susan often called with confused questions forgetting the details of my case. Her continual delays in creating the divorce paperwork were inexcusable. Her overall gruff manner and lack of communication are infuriating. She neglected to file the post-nup in accordance with the law and left me at great financial risk. If she was so remiss in my simple case, you should be very wary of using her for yours. When confronted with this egregious error she agreed to return my retainer - and then reneged on that agreement by claiming her error was easily fixable. Be very careful. She is not a woman of her word and her legal skills are clearly are highly suspect.

Grain of salt: this was my husband's lawyer in a no contest and previously amicable divorce. I was never notified of any court appearances. If this lawyer had actually done what said she would do, there would be no issue. But either inept or a straight up liar, she went against my express wishes, never redid the paperwork, and incorporated lies. Cost for me to undo it will be $1500. Plus, she actually caused a delay in the divorce, made tons of extra secret motions to get more money from my stupid ex husband.
