For fathers that are very involved in their kids lives and have to deal with the nightmare of divorce I would highly recommend Bryan Fagan and request specifically Jessica Horace and her paralegal Estrellita Ventura. Jessica is a strong and true advocate for fathers in the courtroom and has an assassins' vibe where opposing counsel has no idea what's coming. Jessica enabled me to win primary possession of my kids in a very long divorce case that lasted 17 months!? Jessica, Estrellita were very open minded, patient, professional, and prepared me well for the trial, expected tough cross examination from opposing counsel, and were open to my ideas for the trial as well to ensure I got what I wanted.

He did a great job! Fair price! Timely! I had another friend going thru similar circumstances. Mr. Burton provided services in less than 1/2 the time and for 1/2 the expense. He listens to your dilemma. One must realize , there is a lot attorneys cannot renegotiate due to the laws. But there are a few alternatives, and Mr. Burton researched my options with his resources and colleagues and provided an equitable resolution. You do have to disclose all that both parties have on the table to explore the options. My agreed order was primarily changes in child support and visitations. That was finalized by the court. The ex was behind in other matters and did not want to go to court and Mr. Burton researched a settlement out of court for that matter. His assistant is very helpful and patient. If you are in a hurry just let them know and keep pushing. they will work with you. Do your own research, it helps understand the limits attorneys have. You need to provide as much help as you can since all circumstances are different.
I will use him again if needed.

Very unprofessional. Paid to go to trail. Never heard from her up until the trial date where I asked if she would like to get with my witnesses and come up with a game plan for trial. She told me she was sick with pneumonia and influenza A and that it would get reset. Had scheduled work off but decided to go in because it was going to be “reset”. After texting multiple days and no response I had to call up court and they informed me that I did have court (the next day). We went to court unprepared and she showed up late (every other time she did also) and screamed at the judge that she had pneumonia and couldn’t talk. Mind you she is screaming. The judge told her it wouldn’t get reset without a Dr. note. Unbelievably, somehow she couldn’t come up with one, so they proceeded with trail. I ended up taking plea deal because I didn’t feel confident, having never had a meeting about trail. She told me she was ready to go, which completely contradicted what she had told the judge “I can’t do a trail today”. After this I decided I couldn’t trust her with my freedom and settled. Please don’t make the same mistake I did and further research an attorney who will fight for their clients and also communicate with them. WASTE OF MONEY. Find someone reputable.

Hired this person on a referral from James Hedelston. Biggest mistake of my life.
This attorney never spoke to the police officer witness who was previously subpoenad and waiting outside court room. The officer Arrested my ex for a Dwi while the children were in the vehicle . This attorney also never spoke to the person he was run over by my ex while with the children in the vehicle . That person was waiting outside courtroom also on November 2018.
This attorney told me that I had to take a settlement of supervise visitation and give my children to the person who has physically emotionally ,financially, and medically abused us For last several years even after my ex was just arrested a few weeks before for domestic assault. .
Immediately after saying I should agree she dropped me because I had little money. The very next day 2018 on Facebook she posted how she was looking to give free legal counsel to a family in need. She was stating how she wanted to give back to the community.

Grant Scheiner was recommended to me by a friend when I found myself needing an Attorney. I was being charged with a felony and would soon be arrested. I was terrified and at a loss as to what to do. I contacted Grant. During our conversation, Grant was able to calm me down and let me know he would be by my side the whole way. During the process, Grant and Macie were able to get me a plea. The Plea reduced the charges to a misdemeanor with two years’ probation. Grant is very knowledgeable of the law, effective and very personable. When I was first introduced to Miss Lowry, she seemed nice, waved to me, smiled...thought she was the real deal. Unfortunately, that's where her professionalism ended.
Multiple texts and calls. Almost ZERO response.
When she did respond, vague shallow answers. I barely ever saw this woman, and we did zero work on my case. I tried so hard to be understanding of her schedule but it seriously felt like this woman had some sort of vendetta for me.

Glad you asked! I lost. Lost pretty much everything. House, gone. Car, gone. Money, gone. I wake up most morning thinking:
Anywhere else. I mean, ANYWHERE else. If I had just picked another door to walk into my life would be different.
But I didn't. I mistakenly chose Miss Lowry's world and if you haven't gotten the memo, she is better than everyone else.

Mrs Lowry and her staff were all rude and certainly did not go out of their way to assist me or my husband with our situation. We spent a fair amount of money and both felt like miss Lowry could have cared less about probably one of the biggest issues we’ve had to deal with.
Overall just disappointed with Mrs Lowry and her staff and we will not ever use again.

Interestingly enough I met atty Daniel Grey on an off chance. He was at mediation that I was not a party to, and I was in the building for other reasons. As we crossed paths and began speaking he gave me his business card and said something to the effect of “you never know when you may need my services”. As I walked away I thought ‘how did he know’. Long story short within 6months I needed his services. That was about 13 years ago. He not only was a great attorney but he advocated for all sides which is not like many family law attorneys. He helped me see things from my child’s perspective and my spouse at the time. In doing so it made the divorcing with children much more smoother for all parties involved. Over the years I have referred over a dozen of friends & colleagues to him during their time of need and he has always shown great detail and concern to them in the same manner he showed to me. I am only writing this review now because I recently referred someone to him. Though he could not represent the guy due to the county he lived in he still took the time to call him after work hours and be a calming voice and help him him understand the process, ease his mind and refer him to two other lawyers that specialized in that county. I am blown away by this. No charge and he gained nothing other than respect and this review. So many other lawyers won’t even talk to paying clients during the day and a night call is not a thing. So for Daniel to do this was going beyond the pale. I am so thankful for our chance encounter all of those years ago and all the help he has provided to me and to all that have been referred. If you want a lawyer who shoots straight and treats each client even opposing counsel as family & friend to work on a fair settlement he is your guy. This is not about money for him, he truly cares. This is my second time using this law office . The first time was to end my marriage and Handle a child custody matter . This second time is to modify the original order . All the staff make you feel welcomed . Everyone in the office is always willing to answer questions . This law firm will also look at the big picture and shoot you straight on your expectations . If you have an end goal in mind they will tell you the honest answer due to their experience if you will get it . I love the ladies in the office and recommend them to anyone looking for great female attorneys . The retainer they charge is slightly high but for what they can do it is worth it.

Heather was an excellent attorney. I received regular updates from her regarding my case and never once felt like I was in the dark. Her communication with the opposition was very professional and to the point. I hired another attorney when my divorce proceedings first started, but the case just seemed to drag on and on. Once Heather took the reins, the tide shifted and the divorce settled in a short time. I firmly believe without Heather handling this case I would still be fighting my ex. First of all from the bottom of my heart I like to thank Matt tyson law firm the entire team for being with me the entire process of my case this has been a traumatic emotional roller coaster journey. Special mention to Josh who represents my case fought for everything that I wanted in my child custody case. It was a difficult battle in chambers county, the judge and amicus were against me having my children. They were more worried about the school system than in the safety of my children. I live in California. I have law suits in Houston and although i have never retained Candice that has recently become a thing of the past. I have nothing but disdain for attorneys as a general class but there are a few exception. Candice Lee Leonard is one of of the latter. I have consulted with Candace for six years and without her help... OMG! I have retained Candice to close this nightmare. While she may not be the best litigator i have ever met, quite frankly, I have enough experience with her and confidence in her to actually turn my back without worry.

Candice went beyond the call of duty in representing me in a civil matter which involved a matter that our government and especially the Courts dismiss because it is complicated, personal, and is easier to dismiss than confront the issue. The petition submitted was pure genius in its construct, it is to bad she had to deal with unethical colleagues and a week justice. Her loyalty and support for me through almost two years of stress, depression, and utter despair is the only reason I survived. I honestly don't know if I would have made it without her. Patricia Hibler "Trish" helped me gain custody of my daughter from her neglectful mother, who was a practicing family attorney herself. She represented me again after my ex tried to regain custody.
She never once "padded" her bill with meaningless expenses, and she was always there for us when we needed her. She never treated us like a client, but more like a friend. There is no other attorney I would ever go to when it comes to family law.

Several years ago I was in the process of a divorce with an attorney that was costing me a fortune and wasn’t getting any results. I hired MS. HIBLER after firing the first attorney. Within 60 days I was divorced and had received a fair settlement from my ex-wife. MS. HIBLER was the most effective attorney I have ever seen practice. Her retainer was much less than the first attorney (actually I received a refund when the case was completed. She knows the law, knows the courts and respects her client’s needs and desires. Her business is based on referrals and we (clients) refer her as often as possible.

I had the worst representation ever with this lawyer. Very painful divorce which she made worst with her bullying. I had no experience what so ever and followed her lead......worst mistake ever. She never fought for my interests and her only interest was to close the mediation process as soon as possible using a "friend" as a mediator. I lost everything because she made me sign a mediation that I had no clue it was a document basically written in stone. She made me believe things could be changed. But, the worst was the bullying...... by phone, email, in person.......She seemed to be on my side until I paid the retainer, after that, it was a painful process, more than the divorce itself.
I would never recommend her not even if my life depended on it.

She was very helpful when it was time to take my money. After that getting her on the phone was impossible. When I did speak with her she was always short and had an attitude. The paperwork she typed up was incorrect and she got an attitude with me for informing her. She didn’t even contact me to let me know my divorce was finalized. I looked it up online and contacted her. She got defensive and told me she done her job and don’t contact her anymore.

My case was assigned to Kim Washington, seemingly an competent lawyer; but after working with her for about ten months, basically continuing work begun four months prior by two of her colleagues, I have come to know differently. Any lawyer earning her fee per hour should be equipped with knowledge and experience that should enable that lawyer to offer sound advice to clients, especially if clients are asking for services that are not offered by the firm anyway!!!
I paid too much money (well over $15,000.00) for a divorce that was never contested, but too much time/expense allocated towards chasing possibilities only to learn later on two occasions that I would have to go outside of the firm for services not offered by the firm, but needed to resolve my issue!!! I hope Ms. Washington will listen carefully to what future clients need/want from her and honestly advise accordingly without unnecessarily compounding costs without delivering on objectives known from the beginning of the process.

After billing me, $13, 287.50 this office was unable to even achieve a divorce mediation meeting.
