Anthony represented me in a criminal matter recently. I was terrified because I had never been in any kind of trouble before so I had no idea what to expect.

I would recommend this lawyer if you have plenty of money. He did an excellent job with the custody motion, however I was only able to use him until a hearing was scheduled, and had to proceed pro se. This lawyer requested a larger than normal retainer (due to my particular situation) and stated that when the retainer ran out, he would let me know before he started billing me. This did not happen and he billed me $8,000 beyond my retainer.

My experience with David runs counter to Laurie’s. I went through an amicable divorce recently and from the very first call with him I had concerns about keeping costs down. David kept a detailed log of time and never seemed to ramp up costs. In fact, he discounted a small amount of time because we were starting to exceed our higher cost estimates.
David did a good job of balancing minimum required “lawyer stuff” with watching out for my rights and counseling me on protections I could take.
If you don’t want to spend a lot on divorce lawyer fees, make an effort to get along with your soon-to-be ex... or better yet, don’t neglect your marriage in the first place and stay married.

Sadly, I've had to deal with my ex for the past 10yrs for various issues having to do with our child, but THANK GOODNESS Jim has been my attorney the whole time! It has been extremely stressful throughout the years and continues to be (YEP he is STILL representing me), but when it comes to knowledge, kindness, understanding and heart he has it all and has been there for me every step of the way. Anytime I doubted his advice or what an outcome may be in court (due to my "worry wart" personality) - I've ALWAYS been proven wrong! He has always been spot on with what he has told me, whether in my favor or not. I have complete faith in him. I've referred 3 people to him (2 of them family members). I was referred 10+ years ago by a co-worker who said he was the BEST! I haven't looked back since. I can only speak on the family matters he has assisted me with (child parenting time, child support, etc.... ) but I most definitely would recommend him to anyone & everyone!

As sad and stressful as divorces are, you expect to hire an attorney who is trustworthy and will do whatever it takes to defend you rightfully. James Lofstrom, however, did not fulfill this for me. He messed up paperwork several times, costing me more money and delaying the inevitable, my divorce. After he finally got the paperwork corrected with the courts (three times total), my divorce was finally overwith. He did not follow through with things I requested him to do, which left me with nothing that I had "won" in the divorce. I lost all of my childhood memorabilia because he did not file papers demanding the items be returned. The only thing Mr. Loftstrom was good at was sending an overpriced bill.

Atty Elizabeth Strand represented me in a case where I'd been charged with Felony Fleeing of a Peace Officer. The County offered a plea deal and I refused. I risked a year in prison and a $10,000 fine if we lost. She found a million holes in the prosecution and the Jury ruled on my behalf because of her. She also returns phonecalls in a timely manner.

FYI Don’t waste your Money or your time with this attorney.
Gave him $1000.00 in May , gave hopes and made you feel like he knew what he was talking about! Then absolutely nothing was accomplished, and it’s November and still have not received a statement from him as to what he did for the money… Said he was going to do this and do that but never happened. Look elsewhere if you want truth and want to get any sort of help.

Called me back a week after I called, left a message, and email. Had Zero clue I even emailed. Lied over the phone stating he had zero clue about "extra" money on the check from my brother buying my grandma's house when asked where the 7K of my brothers money is at, told me that my brother should "call the bank. " in turn he used the 7K to get paid. This 7K is also not documented In any of the paperwork only 80K for the estate.Each kid gets 20k 3 children = 60k 20k to cover my grandma's expenses then whatever was left over split between the 3. Well expenses is what should have paid you not taking 7K that was not yours. Might I add when my mom asked you how much the check was you stated to her 87K. Also it was never documented my brother was to pay your fees, it was ASSUMED.I guess it pays to be law buddies with the husband of one of my grandma's children. Let me also add my brother paid closing costs when he got the loan for the house as well as appraisal fees. Unsure if you were aware of that since communication was lacking throughout this whole procees with everyone! My grandma really should have stuck to her guns here and gave my brother the house and only did 20K for her expenses.

Erin was very attentive and knowledgeable during my divorce process. She was supportive and kind as well which is important during a divorce. She took time to calmly explain things that were happening during the entire process when things were confusing and stressful. After years of working with Erin on grand parenting rights ,she did get them for me. However after tens of thousands of dollars in attorney and court fees ,Erin would not file my stayed order of con-tempt on the other party that would"nt follow the court order.Erin sent me a letter of withdrawal of counsel notice. My on going battle with other party still a nightmare, broke without counsel.

If I had to pick just a couple words for Erin I'd choose intelligent, strategic, and honest. She was incredibly thoughtful about picking strategies that worked in my case--she knew when and how hard to push, when to wait and not "take the bait," and when to change approaches. I had an ex who was abusive and continued those tactics through the legal system, to the extent possible, and she kept me calm through what was a really dark time, I am lucky she was my guide and advocate through it. And we won! I'd recommend her to anyone in a child custody/child support case.

Referee Baker oversaw my divorce case. Right from the beginning she showed extreme impatience, and favoritism. There was a double set of standards whereas one side consistently violated the stipulations, yet when brought to her attention, no enforcement was taken. Yet when the opposing side was simply late on filing and contested, she immediately ruled in favor and gave short timeliness. Tens of thousands of dollars were wasted in legal fees in providing undeniable facts, yet she took the position of it no longer matters. It was simply unbelievable to see how consistently she would make rulings on minuscule issues of little concern, yet turn a blind eye to other huge financial issues of squandered resources by the opposing party. I have dealt with many referees in settling many small claim actions regarding unpaid client accounts over decades of business management, and by far she has clearly displayed bias regardless of the facts presented. One thing for sure, you will win or lose simply based upon one thing right from the beginning. Which Attorney & Client does she favor. The facts otherwise are irrelevant.

No communication throughout the process, Never tried to protect my child even though abuser was charged with felony. Worked against me with all issues. Was late twice to court leaving me very anxious at the start of the court proceedings. Would not listen to my concerns. Always seemed to be for the other side.
