Worst law firm that I have ever dealt with. I would totally recommend someone else. Southpark family law is unprofessional on all levels. They will not take time for you nor your case but will take the time to collect or ask about there money over and over. They don’t follow their own contracts. You can never get a hold of Meg and then you have multiple people in your file when you hired only one lawyer. I really don’t understand how any of them have there License to do this. I’m telling yall to stay away from this law firm, they will totally disappoint you.

I paid this firm over a month ago to complete a simple deed transaction for me. We had a call to discuss exactly what I needed and was assured this was not a problem. They would never respond to me by phone even though I was told I would be called back by the receptionist on multiple occasions. Over the month I never received details on the process. At the end of the month they sent me an email to tell me they were not experienced enough to handle my simple deed transfer and refunded me my money. Throughout the process I simply needed follow up or a call to discuss the status. I don't like to leave a bad review but this was very disappointing.

Mr. Davenport does a good job of walking you through the process and making you realize that it's not the end of the world. However, it's not a quick process and a lot of it involves relying on an expected outcome by the judge. So, with this in mind, he will continue your case until he gets it in front of the right judge. With me, this process lasted over a year. During this time, I attended counseling and dealt with the loss of a close family member. Eventually, my case went to trial and I was found guilty. So, in hindsight, Mr. Davenport bought me some time to take care of my personal business and negotiated a guilty plea to the least offensive level; I'm grateful for this. One thing you have to consider: They (the prosecution, the defense, the judge, etc.) all know each other and they're not going to do anything to jeopardize a good working relationship. What does this mean for you? If you're guilty, you're not getting completely out of it.

The Day Law Firm handled two underage drinking charges given to my son over the past two years. Both times were handled professionally and in a timely manner. STAY AWAY IF YOU DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOUR SURROGATE. It appears communication is not at the top of their list. Me and my wife hired Milan Phan to complete our Surrogacy agreement with our surrogate. Because of their lack of urgency we may have lost our surrogate. They have been working on it for 3 months, an agreement that we already had completed. Meaning they didn't need to negotiate anything. When I reached out to them to get guidance on things, they actually thought I had my own attorney. Something we never expressed and find extremely weird to be honest. Regardless, we cleared that matter up and I have now called 3 times to request a call back from our attorney over a 10 day mark with NO response.
My next step is contacting the North Carolina Bar and reporting them for lack of communication. Something an attorney can lose their license for. I just find it crazy that I have to threaten that to get a response from our attorney.

Amanda is amazing at what she does. I came to Amanda, frantic. My husband and I had separated more than a year ago and had always had a civil arrangement regarding our children’s custody agreement. When I got offered a job out of town, he agreed to let the children come with me and to follow shortly there afterwards.
However, once things actually started to move into action. My ex shut down and decided he wanted full custody of the children. He kept them from me, only allowing “supervised visits” at his mother’s house. I found myself stuck in a new town with no legal rights to my children because we did not have an Attorney drafted Separation Agreement in place. The police could not even help me.
Amanda was there for me through every step of the way. She was professional, kind and firm when needed. She drafted an Agreement based on what I wanted, listening to what was most important to me. We prepared to go to Court if needed. Luckily, it did not get that far but only because of Amanda’s tact, patience, and kindness in handling this tense situation between two angry individuals.
If you are looking for a family lawyer, look no further than Amanda. This was one of the hardest things I have ever gone through in my life. Amanda was there for me, going above and beyond at every opportunity. ALSO AFTER I HIRED HER I FOUND OUT MY CHILDS FATHER KNOWS HER FROM SCHOOL AND DATED HER FRIENDS IN HIGH SCHOOL. WHICH MAKES ME THINK THATS AGAINST THE COURT SYSTEM YOU WOULD THINK. MY CHILDS FATHER HAS BEEN KEEPING MY KID FROM ME. HE HAS WENT AGAINST COURT ORDERS THE WHOLE TIME. AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE ABOUT IT. Brittany Hall handled my child support hearing. I am leaving 2 stars because the ultimate agreement was fair and was settled ahead of seeing a judge; however the initial agreement sent to me was full of basic calculation errors that you wouldn't expect from a professional. I ultimately pointed out the mistakes, and once the correct numbers were used in the calculator, she sent me an accurate proposal. I could have accomplished that myself. After the agreement was reached, I received a letter from the other party's state child support office indicating that they were not going to respect the agreement we had reached. Brittany refused to take my call.
The outcome was satisfactory. However, I believe given the entire experience, there are better options for the money.

We needed some last minute consulting on a new house we were buying/building in a planned 55+ NC community (we live out of state, moving to NC). A friend of a relative recommended Beth. Within 2 days of contacting her, we had a conference call scheduled. We spoke for almost 30 minutes and she very clearly and kindly answered all our concerns/questions and then when I asked what we owed her, she said nothing, she was happy to help!

Regina has a very hard time returning calls, answering questions, remembering her clients names, anything you tell her seems to go in one ear and out the other. She will forget tasks she agreed to complete, mistakes on paperwork, causing wrong names on court documents! She's moved her office at least twice since we hired her. We have paid over $2500 and she never returns my call. She was a good lawyer but she may be reaching a time where she needs to retire. I think we have made a dangerous choice that could cost us dearly.

I have had the worse possible outcome and time with this attorney ! If you want your case to be over looked and you to be over charged for staying on top of her at doing her job be my guess ! This law office is not whom you are wanting to represent you at all! I had to beg and plea for help the entire time this was dragged out. $8,000 later was not worth it…the defendant was even willing to settle for MORE before court and she turned down the request. I never Got documents on time or informed of my case in detail. I was Told one thing and the defends attorney was told something else after court. This law office is a JOKE and I will be going to the BBB and NC Bar !

At first the flat fee seemed huge to me, but her fees ended up being actually extremely reasonable, considering how much time she took to work on my case. She spent hours on the phone with me, met with me, and went to trial several times until it was over. I had three other attorneys before her andthey were all problematic -- exorbitantly expensive, didn't answer my questions, difficult to get a hold of, and not in it for my child. Arlaine is someone who truly cares and is in it to protect the kids and get you the best situation. My case involved trying to prove sexual abuse after CPS "unsubstantiated" twice, very difficult but we got the supervision we were asking for in the end and I also got to relocate with my child for a better future. I am so grateful to Arlaine for her angelic help!

Financially ruined my family and did not deliver. Did not do what she said she would do. Procrastinated with a million "the dog ate my homework" excuses.
Demanded a flat fee retainer of $45,000 up front for a child custody dispute. Paid her because I was vulnerable and emotional and wanted to protect my children. Now I'm deeply in debt. Four months into the case, she had still not served a discovery request on the other party. Never went after my ex-husband for child support. She told me she was going to file a Rule 11 sanction against my ex-husband and his lawyer before I hired her. She also never did this.
I finally fired her after four months of inaction on her part. When I fired her, she told me the $45,000 was gone, and I would be getting zero refund. It then took her about a month to produce billing records. What a joke.
She charged me $8,575.00 for actual work and $36,300.00 for emails, texts, and phone calls. I am serious. This is the way this woman operates.
And many of my communications to her were in response to her directing me to email her information for motions she never drafted. Many of our communications were me asking (begging) her to please do her job and her giving me false assurances and promises in response.
When I asked for my file to give to my next lawyer, she said I was harassing her. When I said I disputed her insane billing and wanted to mediate the matter, she said I was harassing her. Before I fired her, she kept telling me we were friends. She told me I would look bad to the judge if I fired her.
Hey, North Carolina: This is an attorney in good standing with the North Carolina bar? What a joke.
Wish me luck with my complaint to the NC bar and lawsuit.
You know how, when you enter a cockroach-infested room and turn on the light, they scurry for cover? They really hate the light of day, don't they.

This attorney charged me a $45,000 flat fee to represent me in a custody/child support case. She never filed anything pursuing child support and didn’t do what she said was going to do. I finally fired her after four months because she hadn’t even filed a discovery request on the other side. After I fired her, she refused to refund even one penny. My family is devastated. I’m a single mother of four. I will be complaining and pursuing a refund. Excessive fee and did not do what she promised. Then when I asked for refund, told me she spent $45,000 in four months of representation. She only represented me at one hearing. I’m taking this to the authorities.

Molly was friendly but she only did the minimum for me. I hired her to draft a separation agreement and she relayed my wishes to my husband's attorney. However her feedback and advice to was neutral without her explaining all of my options or the consequences of taking action. She did not take the time to help me strategize. It often took her 1-2 weeks to answer my emails. This made the process take longer than it should have. I got a second opinion from another lawyer, who helped me strategize more effectively, which why I stopped using her legal service.

I do not recommend Fleischer. Money set aside from closing that was meant for repairs to my home, is missing, and Fleischer will not do anything about it. As far as I know, it's sitting in their bank account.

I did my separation with them back in 2021. I had all the paperwork needed and it was a very simple sign and done situation. I was charged thousands to do this. After speaking to other attorneys now since, apparently I was totally done wrong and way overcharged for this. Everyone was totally floored by the price I was charged. Never again.

I had my will and trust redone in 2021 with Chris Craig. This experience was adequate. But when I wanted to make some fairly basic changes (changing beneficiaries) to the will/trust this year in 2024, Chris wanted to charge me more than the initial set up of my will and trust (thousands of dollars to make edits to the will and trust that would have taken me an hour if only it was legal for me to edit the documents in Word).
When I questioned such exorbitant charges for such simple revisions he fired me as a client. Now I'm stuck with a will/trust that does not reflect my wishes. I'm shopping for a new attorney who I can trust not to extort me for simple changes.

Unfortunately I did not get to meet Chris…I was to have a meeting via zoom with an elderly friend that was in dire need of a Will. We were to meet Chris to discuss our needs. However, the form I had been emailed was asking for intense info that would have taken me several days to obtain. To paraphrase, I obviously was not refunded 250.00 but didn’t get to have consultation either. Most definitely was not impressed with Paralegal…very defensive attitude!

As an attorney I knew I needed an expert attorney to handle my bitter divorce; I did not know Emily at the time but she came highly recommended by attorneys I know. Emily obtained all of my initial goals and charged me 1/3rd what opposing counsel charged my ex. In other words she absolutely won my case as she is an expert.
I was unsure of the judge assigned to my case and of opposing counsel but Emily kept everything on tract to move the case and get it over with, being a bulldozer or a charmer, whatever she needed to do for me.

We are so thankful to have found Amy. Our adoption is somewhat complicated and she has provided honest advice, has proven her knowledge of the system, and has even been willing to "talk us off the ledge" late in the evening when we felt overwhelmed by the uncertainty in the process.
