My sincere thanks to Susanne Bonilla Harrold and David Henry for doing a fantastic job in handling my child support case. This was my first experience with a court case and the entire process. I did not know what to expect; especially being abroad; it was very hard on me, but Suzanne tranquilized me through the entire process.
Suzanne was professional, and although we only talked on the phone, she was genuinely empathetic, competent and most importantly, honest. Her compassion towards me was unique. She did not set false expectations, and she was very patient, taking care to explain every step of the process to me so I was able to make informed decisions. Everyone at Suzanne’s Law Firm was professional, courteous, and extremely helpful. They took care of all the stressful phone calls and emails which made it less complicated as possible! When I had questions, no matter what they were, they responded quickly by telephone or email.
In court, for my case, I worked specifically with her associate David Henry, he was knowledgeable, assertive when necessary, and patient with my questions, keeping me updated the entire time. During the hearing, David Henry kept in touch with me so I was able to follow the entire session as if I was actually there. He is as caring and sincere as he is a skilled professional. The first thing Robin McCarty did was lay out my case, the possibilities - both good and bad - with straight forward, even if brutal, honesty. Many people have ended up with dire consequences because their case was sugar coated and made to look like no problem. Robin sits with you and tells you the truth.
Robin then carefully, patiently, guided me through the process for almost two years - the end result was a full dismissal of charges.
One unique thing about Robin, he was a former peace officer and previous prosecutor - so he understood both sides of the system. This was tremendously helpful.
I call him Robin because he is a really great guy and it didn't take long before I realized he truly cares about his clients and is just as concerned about their future as any loved one would be.

Mr. Carter was/is awesome! He was responsive, transparent, professional and always accessible. My case took over 2 years to come full circle and was slightly complicated, being that the person who caused my 4-car pile accident lied about having insurance... but it was a fairly easy feat for Mr. Carter to overcome. He walked me through all my options at every twist and turn, gave lots of feedback, taking the time to explain everything. He even provided additional resources to help me better understand the complexity of my case, my options and what it all meant... more importantly, how it could all come together, or potentially not work totally in my favor. He did a great job! Fair price! Timely! I had another friend going thru similar circumstances. Mr. Burton provided services in less than 1/2 the time and for 1/2 the expense. He listens to your dilemma. One must realize , there is a lot attorneys cannot renegotiate due to the laws. But there are a few alternatives, and Mr. Burton researched my options with his resources and colleagues and provided an equitable resolution. You do have to disclose all that both parties have on the table to explore the options. My agreed order was primarily changes in child support and visitations. That was finalized by the court. The ex was behind in other matters and did not want to go to court and Mr. Burton researched a settlement out of court for that matter. His assistant is very helpful and patient. If you are in a hurry just let them know and keep pushing. they will work with you. Do your own research, it helps understand the limits attorneys have. You need to provide as much help as you can since all circumstances are different.
I will use him again if needed.

I am writing this to make sure others don’t end up in the same situation as my husband and I did. My husband was diagnosed as terminal, we wanted to make sure all our affairs were in order before his passing. When we walked into Natalie Wallace’s office, we made it very clear that we wanted all documentation that would avoid probate upon his death. He passed and I contacted Natalie, and she indicated we would have to do probate to the tune of $4000. I made it clear she didn’t do what was requested and she apologized and took absolutely no ownership for her error. In working with a much more skilled attorney, I found out that Natalie should have done a “transfer on death deed” for our home, known as a “ladybird deed” in Texas. She had not once brought this up during our visit. So here I am having to pay even more money because she failed to do her job after paying to do our documents for passing. In addition, she didn’t even include an alternate for POA hence I had to redo my documents and pay once again.
She might be good with other types of law (not sure), but I would steer clear of her for any estate planning as she seems to be lacking on either listening to what her clients ask for, or skill in the area of estate planning. I don’t typically do negative reviews, but I didn’t want others to experience the same thing I had to. Go find someone else if you are doing estate planning.

Mr. Lister should be on the top of the Best Top Ten List for Rockwall County attorneys. I was part of a Court Watchers group in a different county and have seen the worst. Mr. Lister, a retired Marine, is a man of integrity who served his country well. I spent many hours researching other lawyers before choosing Mr. Mark Lister. The research paid off in spades. He worked with me to bring an end to a 48 year marriage. He was honest about the difficult months ahead and the best approach to a ending with mediation as opposed going to trial. Mr. Lister never hurried through a meeting over the very difficult financial issues. He returned calls and emails within a reasonable time, a major issue with many lawyers. Nothing was overlooked in the mediation and final decree. My final bill was more than fair for the amount of hard work he put in to my case.

Are the services offered absolutely necessary? No, you can go through this process on your own, but their fees were not exorbitant by any stretch and they were work every penny for the peace of mind alone that it was being done right and wouldn't get kicked back.
