Thankfully I have not needed the services of Millar Legal personally, but I know two others that have. The theme always seems to be that Aaron is a highly skilled attorney, without question, but the difference for them was how personable and compassionate Aaron was during an (obviously) stressful and emotional time. I personally know Aaron through other professional channels and can attest to the fact that he genuinely cares for people, beyond just the courtroom. The other great reviews and testimonials all ring true. Easy call to make.

I began the divorce process in October of 2021. At the time, I had different counsel. Nearly a year into the saga, I was referred to Aaron through another family law attorney. Once I hired Aaron, I knew I had the right attorney.
My case was very high conflict. Aaron would ask my thoughts and ideas on the best way to navigate all the roadblocks that were thrown our way. Aaron was always calm. He was a voice of reason. He would ask questions to ensure he understood what I needed. Aaron did not always agree with me. When we didn’t agree, he explained his position and the most likely outcome. He was quick to return emails or phone calls. I could count on a response within 24-48 hours.
My case ultimately ended up at trial. I appreciated Aaron’s honesty and integrity throughout the entire process. He was very thoughtful with all of the motions and exhibits he presented to the Court, as he understood the Court does not have a lot of time to spend on each case. At trial, Aaron was able to take hundreds of pages of information and display them on a spreadsheet that was easy for everyone, including the judge, to understand. During the first day of trial, the Judge held up Aaron’s spreadsheet specific to alimony. It detailed previous martial expenses, current expenses and predicted expenses. The Judge shook it above his head while exclaiming that is how it should be done! While making his ruling, the Judge once again commented how helpful Aaron’s presentation was in determining alimony. Aaron was always in control: control of himself, control of the room, control of the issues, control of the evidence.
Aaron was able to get me full physical and legal custody of my 16 year old, he successfully negotiated that she determine parent time and secured more alimony than I ever wanted or expected.
Aaron and I made a great team. Normally I would approach Aaron with a solution to the latest problem. Aaron was always open to my ideas; he wasn’t threatened by my involvement. I had some ideas that were unconventional but checked off all of the boxes when it came to the law. Aaron was willing to advocate for me even though he didn’t know what the outcome would be. Aaron was very methodical. He was not ego driven. Aaron did what was best for his client, not what was the easiest or most popular. Whether he agreed with me or not, Aaron would always hear me out. My prior counsel dismissed me even when I had what ultimately became the winning strategy.
I will always recommend Millar Legal to anyone that finds themself needing legal representation, specifically in a high conflict divorce case.

Mr. Millar was a wonderful attorney to work with. Throughout the entire process, from the date I first reached out for a consult, up until the end of mediation, he was honest with me about my options and helped guide me toward the best possible outcome based on my needs. He and his team were extremely professional and it was clear he is very knowledgeable. Whenever I had a question, he and his team were quick to answer with a thorough response. The care and dedication that his team took really demonstrated that they cared about me as a client and wanted me to be successful. She's an amazing salesperson, but from what I can tell, an average lawyer. Charging $450/hr is obviously a supply and demand issue, which is a product of her salesperson-ship, and having more clientele than time available to help them. Even her paralegal, who handles most paperwork, makes more than 95% of all doctors. No lawyer can make everything happen, but I suspect most lawyers can accomplish the same outcomes for much less.

Divorce is always messy and emotional. My ex took me back to court only 6 months after it was final. I knew this was never going to end. I did my research in trying to find a true litigator that could fiercely represent me all the way to the end. Nonie has stellar experience litigating in front of a judge. An actual Family Law litigator is hard to find. After she looked at my files, when I had my consult with her she pointed out several things that could have been done differently. For the first time in months I felt at ease because Nonie clearly had a strategy that could end this. She’s personable, listens intently, and resolute in how things should go. My only regret is that I didn’t find her for my initial divorce. I would be in a completely different situation now.
After my initial consult with Nonie I was paired up with Sharnea, her paralegal, and Amber, another attorney with the firm. Sharnea is by far the most knowledgeable paralegal I’ve ever worked with. She was very clear in explanations of family law and how it pertained to me. Sharnae was always available when I needed her! I really appreciated working with her.
Not only did I feel I had the best team fighting for me they were also my biggest advocates in helping me through the entire rollercoaster. My case is resolved and I can finally move on with my life.
I honestly hope I don’t need an attorney again from this past marriage, but if I do I will contact Nonie without question! She is the only atty I would consider.

I highly recommend Tess Davis . When I went through my divorce I was completely lost and scared . I didn’t even know where to start or how protect myself through the process. In late December of 2024, my wife and I were involved in a multiple-vehicle accident as the result of a small towing company. This near-tragic event reshaped both of our lives on so many levels, not only physically, resulting in several medical treatments, doctor visits, and surgeries for my wife and I, but emotionally, psychologically, and financially as well. I was a pedestrian in a hit-and-run accident. Although the driver was caught, Utah's no-fault law meant I had to cover all my medical bills. Hospitals will treat you, but they only bill your own medical insurance (if you have it) and won’t use the perpetrator’s insurance information, even if you obtain it later.
In my case, my bills exceeded $70,000, but the driver’s insurance only covered $50,000. Without legal representation, you’re responsible for any medical costs that surpass your own coverage and the perpetrator's insurance limits. This is why having an attorney is crucial. Will Andrews was key in negotiating my bills, reducing the excess I owed, and ensuring I received some compensation. It’s a challenging process, especially when the perpetrator has limited coverage, but Will did a fantastic job. He also took the time to clearly explain everything from the start, which I greatly appreciated.
If you find yourself in a similar situation, here’s my advice:
--Log into your patient portal as soon as possible, retrieve all billing and medical records, and send them to Will right away.
--It can take 1-2 months for all bills to appear, so keep checking and provide updates. Always send documents in PDF format and keep copies for your records.
The process is slow—it took over a year for my case to resolve—not because of Will but due to delays from insurance companies and their frequent staff turnover. Will, however, was consistently attentive, asking how I and my family were doing before providing updates.
For example, the Attorney General requested my medical records for the criminal case against the perpetrator. Despite my requesting them promptly, it took nine months for the hospital to send the records in a sealed envelope. By then, Will had already negotiated a settlement with my medical insurance using the information I’d sent him from my patient portal.
Thanks to Will’s diligence and expertise, I received more than I expected. I highly recommend him for his experience, professionalism, and genuine care for his clients.

Spencer and Liz (paralegal) are a fantastic team. I'm understating their importance to each other. I'm a firm believer they compliment each other very well.
Spencer was hired as a guardian ad litem. The recommendation came from the attorney of my son's mother to use him to represent my son. So I owe him a huge thank you. For those who may be unfamiliar, the purpose of a guardian ad litem is to represent the minor's best interest. Spencer was detailed and thorough. He met with my son on multiple occasions. He spoke with additional professionals who offered perspective. A recommendation wasn't rendered until Spencer felt he had as many answers to the questions as he needed before making a decision. Spencer came to us early in his career. Not only did he impress us with his straight-forward honesty as to the outcomes, he has a kind demeanor and you know he really cares about the law and what is right.

Kayla is competent, kind and honest. What else could you ask for in a lawyer. If you read through her reviews they are almost all five stars for a reason. When I first saw all the five star reviews I thought they might be fake, but after working with Kayla I can tell you they are not. Kayla works incredibly hard and like many other people have mentioned she makes herself available. On average I probably only had to wait 2 to 3 days for a response. If it ever took longer it was because she was either in mediation or trial. Kayla even made time to talk to me over the phone when realistically we could have completed what we needed over email. If I remember correctly, 95% of Kayla's clients settle in mediation and my case settled in one mediation session. Had I hired any other lawyer I doubt that settling in one mediation session would have been possible. Working with Kayla was a very positive experience for me. Not only is she very easy to work with but she also is a very kind and carrying person. Divorce is such a stressful time and Kayla is very sensitive to your needs. She took the time to help comfort me and help me feel good about the decisions I was making. She is so competent that this comes easily and naturally for her. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better lawyer!

What a terrible experience. Lower retainer fee, but the hourly fee is $400. I got charged for verifying emails were received, for checking up on my slacker attorney, I got billed for time taken when I visited the office to pay in person. I got charged for more administrative garbage than actual case work. This is an absolute money grab while my attorney basically laid down and took a beating any time I needed her. When custody is at risk, a lazy dishonest attorney is the WORST team mate to have. I absolutely regret any and all involvement I had with KKG.
After getting the shaft for 6 months, getting charged at every turn, I fired my attorney and hired one from a different firm - that was the best decision I could have made.

Specifically her work for me had been in conjunction with her representing my wife in a very messy and scary divorce from her previous husband, a sadistic narcissist who was stalking, harassing, and slandering her at every turn. He would threaten anyone who helped my wife with legal action, which included trying to get a protective order against me to keep me away from her and our two minor children. Going through a divorce has been the most stressful thing in my entire life, and it is not something I could have done on my own. Before contacting Shane, I had interviewed several lawyers over the course of a few weeks. By far, I felt the most comfortable with Shane and Kayla. I hired Jacob to represent me in a family law case my ex-husband initiated. Living in Missouri and having to hire an attorney in Utah was a little stressful, but Jacob made the process go very smoothly. We had an initial consultation over the phone where we discussed the case, my thoughts and feelings, and what the next steps going forward would be if I hired Jacob. Jacob really listened to me, understood where I was coming from and the situation at hand, and was straightforward about how he thought the case would turn out. After hiring Jacob to represent me, we communicated pretty regularly through email, texts, and phone calls. Jacob was very conscious about his fees, and he did his best to keep costs as low as possible for me. I really appreciated this and didn't feel like he was cutting corners or slacking in any way to keep costs low. He kept me in the loop regarding the case throughout the entire process and he made sure to submit my answers and evidence to the court in a timely manner to make sure we were within deadlines.
When my court date finally arrived, Jacob and I had a brief phone conversation before our WebEx session to make sure we had everything covered and to discuss the argument Jacob would be making. Jacob stayed on track and argued every point we discussed. Though we didn't get the exact outcome we were hoping for, Jacob did a great job minimizing my loss and I was happy with the outcome we got.

I consulted with Jacob when he was a fairly new attorney outside of family law. He struggled with advanced legal arguments (anything other than the usual "failure to state a claim" reply) and was not really able to form a cohesive structure in his writing. He lacks a logical mind that excellent attorneys have as the research and writing that we consulted with came back to that of a first year law student. I am rating him average, because there was nothing above-average in his work.
