Brad & Stephen were great to work with and I would highly recommend them. Having never been in this kind of a situation before, I was very nervous about my situation and about what to expect. I was guided through the whole divorce process with Jacob. He did everything in a timely manor and did his very best. He always took the lead on what I wanted and he always made sure everything was done how I wanted. Great communication as well. I got a fair child support and alimony because of him. I hired Jacob to represent me in a family law case my ex-husband initiated. Living in Missouri and having to hire an attorney in Utah was a little stressful, but Jacob made the process go very smoothly. We had an initial consultation over the phone where we discussed the case, my thoughts and feelings, and what the next steps going forward would be if I hired Jacob. Jacob really listened to me, understood where I was coming from and the situation at hand, and was straightforward about how he thought the case would turn out. After hiring Jacob to represent me, we communicated pretty regularly through email, texts, and phone calls. Jacob was very conscious about his fees, and he did his best to keep costs as low as possible for me. I really appreciated this and didn't feel like he was cutting corners or slacking in any way to keep costs low. He kept me in the loop regarding the case throughout the entire process and he made sure to submit my answers and evidence to the court in a timely manner to make sure we were within deadlines.
When my court date finally arrived, Jacob and I had a brief phone conversation before our WebEx session to make sure we had everything covered and to discuss the argument Jacob would be making. Jacob stayed on track and argued every point we discussed. Though we didn't get the exact outcome we were hoping for, Jacob did a great job minimizing my loss and I was happy with the outcome we got.
Jacob did a great job representing me in this case. Should the need arise in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again. He listens to his clients and is always asking for input and direction. He treated my case like we were a team and I really appreciated being involved in what was happening.

I consulted with Jacob when he was a fairly new attorney outside of family law. He struggled with advanced legal arguments (anything other than the usual "failure to state a claim" reply) and was not really able to form a cohesive structure in his writing. He lacks a logical mind that excellent attorneys have as the research and writing that we consulted with came back to that of a first year law student. I am rating him average, because there was nothing above-average in his work.

I reached out to Raposa Law and spoke to an individual named Kit Ericson. I came to Kit vulnerable and worn down from attempting to reach my child for multiple years with no results, hoping he would be the answer to this continuous hell I’ve experienced. Unfortunately, he wasn’t. Kit didn’t pay much attention to what I said and wasn’t sympathetic to my plight. Later, my partner reached out to Kit to see if there were any sort of qualities or requirements he looks for when taking on a case (once again we need the help). However, Kit was rude and suggested my spouse inquiring about qualifications needed had forced him to rule out representation. His etiquette was the opposite of what his site suggests. Mr. Paul saved my life and my career in Unit States by helping me to fighting with my case, Since my girlfriend and I are both very emotional, we had a minor argument while driving and ended up being involved with the police because of some conflicts. However, due to some misunderstandings, the police arrested me and defined it as domestic violence. This was a shame for me and I stayed in jail for a night. Finally, since I was not familiar with Salt Lake City, I randomly made a few calls to local law firms. Finally, Mr. Paul was very patient in helping me and my girlfriend what to do when he received my call for the first time. In the end, the case was dismissed, and he used the shortest time to do more efficient things. And when he has time, he will teach me like an elder.

I used a previous lawyer to handle my case when I was charged with my crimes. Lawyer was alright but never answered my calls or questions. I got in car accident, hit by a drunk driver. I hired Caldwell law to help get a settlement. Felt like they weren’t on top of everything. Had to keep calling and texting just to get updates on my case. They kept making excuses on that they were short staffed. I didn’t feel like they fought hard for me or my best interests. This happened three years ago and I still struggle to this day with health issues and chronic pain. I have to pay out of pocket just for treatment. They never held my own insurance company accountable and allowed my finance company to completely screw me over for having to make the payment on a reck car for 6 months.

WOW what to say about this law firm. How about every lawyer joke written!?!?
These guys are liars, unprofessional, disrespectful, arrogant to any one that isn't rich or part of their clubs, and will play the victim card when it suits them after being tone deaf to your situation.
I hired them when I was out of state working, and was a telephone client only and didn't, they didn't have the respect to have me come into the office when I got back into the state a week later. Don't do that!!!! You have to show up to these guys office and look them in the eyes for them to probably take you seriously. They will do the typical Utah bubble state attit of taking your politeness for being weak and don't realize the other side of you is a monster that has been pushed to the edge by the very family that you are asking for their help to fight.
I gave them a specific 6 week time line of being in Utah between jobs and they assured me that they could get things started. Had to call them 2 weeks of being in state, which took 2-3 and talking to different guys named John, so confusing later on when trying to find the right lawyer. Talked to John 2 great conversation and gave me hope and was excited that I hired these guys. Told me he would call me the next day Friday or Monday. Took off for 3 weeks without saying a word. Called a week later figuring things got busy. Called in look for John? On a Friday. Told me John1 leaves for half day Friday. Email John?1/2, tells me he is dealing with a family emergency and call me Monday. Next Friday write an email asking what's up, and the phone call, told again next Monday. Tuesday call the law firm to find out John2 is who I am dealing with and he is out of state for a family emergency and he will back Friday continues for another week.
The last week I have in town John2 calls and the first minute I can tell I was getting the brush off after being ghosted for 4 weeks. During the conversation he twisted and was tone deaf to my 16 years of being broke and on the verge of suicide trying to deal with my family in a civil and orderly way that society says you should try first instead of having to sue your family, so you can still have a family after all the dust is settled. Even after the 2 most abusive people in my family died suddenly of mysterious natural causes that can only be explained as irony of the universe. The abuse continues by aunts and uncles. But how do you deal with a family that lies, cheats and steals from each other my whole life.
The Arrogance of these lawyers made me want to show up and scream in their face so they would actually listen to me as a customer/client. It took everything not to the last week not to show up. I wanted to go back to work.

She is a good honest person but she is an unavailable attorney. She doesn't dedicate any time to her Law Practice (run by herself and one other person). Michelle was impossible to reach, she often would be unavailable for a week at a time if not longer. Rarely answered emails or phone calls, her work ethic just isn't there. Unresponsive to myself and to the opposing council and others involved in my case. I almost missed a hearing (amoung other things) due to her only working one day a week. Hiring an attorney is so stressful and Michelle will only add to that stress, if your looking for an attorney that will work and help your case progress please look elsewhere. I don't ever want anyone else to go through the stress of working with an attorney who is never present.

Ron has been my attorney for a little over two years as I navigated a highly contentious divorce. I’ve also worked with his associate, Jennifer closely and often. They have been an absolute dream team. They have always looked out for the best interest of my kids and I and did everything in their power to get us through this process and into a better place so we can heal and move forward. They were always prepared, listened to my experiences and concerns, explained things well, and were often available quickly when situations would arise unexpectedly but needed attention. Ron is wonderful at balancing the line of keeping peace and avoiding conflict when possible, but being aggressive and an advocate when he needs to be. Every time we were in court he was prepared, quick with information and answers, and aware of even the smallest details of my case. I had complete confidence in him in the courtroom, which brought me some peace in very stressful situations. Jennifer is adept in the legal world and has always been able to answer my questions and help me understand the process. But the most beautiful thing about her is she can do that while still holding space for compassion and empathy for the ways this experience affects a person emotionally. Before we hired Ron Wilkinson we read reviews and wondered if the poor reviews were credible since they seemed so different compared to the good reviews. Well, after experiencing Ron Wilkinson firsthand for ourselves, we can confirm the poor reviews about him are credible.
When we had our consultation, Ron told us quote, “I can probably get this case resolved with one phone call.” And he said that we would get the rest of our “retainer back to spend on Christmas.” We understood it wasn't a guarantee but that it was a good probability he could get the case resolved with one promised phone call since that is what he told us.
Ron never made that promised phone call. We emailed him and called the office countless times over the next 6 weeks. We did not receive replies to our emails or any callbacks. We finally scheduled a phone call in advance to speak with Ron, which costs almost $400 an hour. We asked Ron if he made that one phone call yet that he promised us. He seemed surprised we remembered him promising he would make this phone call and that he probably could get this case resolved on that one phone call and that we expected him to make that call. He said the individual he was going to call was hard to get a hold of. We did not believe he was telling us the truth.
Another time opposing counsel sent us a very harassing email on a Thursday filled with lies and threatening sanctions (court fines) against us if we didn't reply by Monday. We called Ron's office, we emailed Ron and forwarded onto him the harassing email. Ron never called us back, never emailed us back. We made it clear this was an emergency and we heard nothing but crickets. We had to reply to the email ourselves and represent ourselves in order to get the email back to this other unprofessional attorney by Monday.
It is almost impossible to communicate with Ron. He does not reply to emails or return phone calls. If you want to talk on the phone, you have to schedule a call weeks in advance for almost $400 an hour. But there are times when emergencies or situations arise that you need a relatively quick response.
Then when you do get a rare chance to talk to him, it's very difficult to bring up your concerns to him as he gets easily triggered and he has a short temper. Ron even told us he gets easily triggered. We were scared to say anything to him. Ron often engages in manipulative gas-lighting techniques where he creates a false narrative and tries to place the blame for his irresponsible actions onto us and blame us for his bad actions. As one example he would accuse us of not listening when Ron is the one who was not listening to us.
The ultimate betrayal was when Ron falsely told the court we agreed to things which we absolutely did NOT agree to.
Ron or his office also engage in falsifying their bills. As one specific example we were charged $720 for witnesses being served subpoenas. However only 4 witnesses were subpoenaed at a cost of $18.50 each which would be a total of $74, not $720. When we point this out to both Ron and his office asking them what is going on with the billing, we again receive no response.
We also had to do a lot of babysitting. We had to constantly call and email over and over and over to make sure things are getting done.
For example, we called multiple times about correctly scheduling something. We were finally told there were about 5 dates to choose from and we would get a call back to get our permission to schedule the time and place. About a week goes by with no one calling us back. So we have to call into the office again. And we are told that the thing was scheduled without ever talking to us. And this thing was scheduled at a time we could NOT make and at a place we clearly did NOT agree to. So we have to spend more time and more money getting it rescheduled and fixed to the correct place.
In short, instead of us being properly represented, there were multiple times we were misrepresented by our own counsel.

Brent was my attorney through a difficult divorce. My ex-husband was an unwilling participant in the marriage AND the divorce. Not wanting to participate in the divorce made him difficult to negotiate with. Brent was able to see through his stalling tactics and eventually, we were able to force the divorce issue. Brent was effective in communicating with the narcissist who was my husband. It still took a while, but I was able to get out of the relationship with my dignity intact and with everything I wanted and needed. ...Greg Wall’s office shouts, “Get the hell out!” Unprofessional: Stood me up in court. Refused calls. Lost paperwork repeatedly, until I started emailing instead.
Unapologetic: Wasted the entire time until, on the last day, I switched to Scott Brown and Brian Coutts who won $200,000 in a short period of time for about the same cost.
Greg Wall made NO effort until it came time to collect his $30,000+ for doing nothing.

wonderful job representing me. He was very clear in where I stood and rather than making any promises he just got the job done. His experience shows in the way he handled my case. My x-wife's attorney was very difficult to deal with and rather than thumping his chest and making matters worse he handled her in a very cool and calm matter. Thank heavens for Anna Trupp, our custody evaluator. She came through for us in the end. Think about a custody evaluator over a PGAL, is my recommendation. Especially if you have parents on the other side involved in various versions of substance abuse. It’s not just clients that feel this way, it’s attorneys in the industry that see his lack of effort, as well.

Chad and the team at Tycksen & Shattuck saved the day for our family in a construction issue. We had worked with a builder who didn't fulfill their responsibilities including paying for materials and subcontractors. When the subcontractors came after us for payment, Chad was able to quickly and effectively protect us from having to double pay those bills (once to the builder and again to the suppliers/subs directly) despite unexpected complexity with our contract. Everyone in their office was great to work with and always made us feel supported. I am writing this review because I feel a moral obligation to warn people about trusting this law firm.
From the outset, it is deeply concerning that the attorney failed to prioritize my case by neglecting to thoroughly review the information provided by the guardian ad litem. This negligence reflects a lack of professionalism and diligence on their part. By disregarding crucial documentation that could have supported my case, they effectively hindered my ability to present a strong argument in court.
Furthermore, the attorney's consistent denial of my requests to submit important documents is nothing short of unacceptable. As a client, I have the right to expect prompt and efficient service, especially when it comes to gathering evidence. The attorney's failure to prioritize my needs and instead divert their attention to unnecessary communication with the opposing party's attorney is a clear indication of their lack of commitment and disregard for my case.
Equally troubling is the attorney's attempt to pass me off to other attorneys under the guise of providing them with "experience." This is a direct betrayal of my trust and confidence in their abilities. When I hired this attorney, I did so with the expectation that they would personally handle my case and provide the necessary expertise. Instead, they attempted to pawn me off onto less experienced attorneys, essentially treating my situation as a learning opportunity at my expense.
The sense of bias that I felt from the beginning of my case is deeply distressing. It is the duty of any attorney to approach each case with objectivity and a commitment to ensuring their client's rights are protected. However, it appears that my attorney failed to uphold this fundamental principle. As a result, i was forced to constantly prove my worth as a fit mother, adding unnecessary stress and burden to an already difficult situation.
I would have never hired anyone from this law firm after my initial experience with Britt Beckstrom. However, after moving on and hiring Brian Eggleston, he moved to this law firm and my experience with Brian was even worse than my experience with Mr Beckstom.

If you’re looking for a lawyer look elsewhere. Mike Branum is definitely not the guy to go to. He is two faced. He will act like he cares to your face then go behind your back and talk bad about you to opposing counsel. He is unprofessional and a liar. We hired a new attorney and he acted so surprised about many things that were brought up to his attention. Ended up finding out a lot of the thing he said and were told to him that were never once mentioned to us. I would recommend everyone to save their money and look elsewhere.

Shawn Farris said he could help me dispute a contract with my previous employer and get me what I was owed after paying his $50 consultations fee. I didn’t hear from him for 2 months after. He kept saying he was busy and would get to it. 2 months later he said he had a conference call with them and they sent a check for $1500 dollars. They owe me $60k! Then no contact after that! I got a bill from him for $1480! He won’t respond to emails or call back after leaving messages with his receptionist. Not very professional at all! I paid him and am now working with a real professional.
