My experience with Kramer, Dunleavy & Ratchik, PLLC was breathtaking. I was run over by a car in Harlem while crossing a crosswalk with the right of way. The guy driving was 100% at fault. The state bar of NY enthusiastically recommend I set up a consultation with them. So I had a 5 minute call with his paralegal, Joanne O’Connell, it was nice. She wanted me to send my neurologist medical records to review and the detailed police report. Made it happen. Then, all communication ceased. No email was replied to thereafter. The only reason I can come up with is that Kramer, Dunleavy & Ratchik genuinely believe there is no merit in finding justice for pedestrians who wrongfully get run over by a car in the state of New York left with long-term injuries.
So I found an actual attorney who got to work, now everything is good.
This concludes my final thoughts on KD&R for now. I’m extremely honored to have been in Joanne’s presence. She and KD&R are extraordinary human beings - but has no follow through and all that talk lead to nothing.

After I tripped on an uneven sidewalk on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, my neighbor, a longstanding friend, introduced me to attorney Jonathan Ratchik who took my case on as he and the doctors deemed my left foot was severely injured.
The landlord had failed to properly maintain the sidewalk in front of the brownstone he owned, posing a clear and present danger to pedestrians.
Mr. Ratchik knows his law. He is patient and thorough. He guided me well, coached me thoroughly on the procedures, and allowed me to make decisions about medical treatment and the course of our legal action which took nearly three years when the landlord’s insurance company offered a fair settlement which we accepted.

It took me some time to write this because of all the emotions I have been going through, but in a nutshell, my purchase transaction for a condo in Manhattan fell through last week. I believe that Weidenbaum and Harari bears primary responsibility for the deal falling apart, and I deeply regret ever hiring them.
A summary of what went wrong:
• My case was assigned to a lawyer (Eugene Sarantis) who was on vacation and would not return until the following week. I was not happy that my case was being assigned to an associate out on vacation but I let it go.
• It was virtually impossible to get in contact with my lawyer. Despite my repeated attempts to reach Eugene via phone and e-mail, he did not respond to my request for an update until I directly asked one of the partners, Jack Harari, to intervene. The first time I was actually able to speak with Eugene was 13 days after the contract had already been sent.
• I was not brought into the contract negotiation process until the very end. I was not even sent a copy of the contract and riders until several days after they had been sent to Weidenbaum and Harari, and as referenced earlier, I was unable to speak with Eugene about the contract and provide input until 13 days into the contract negotiation process.
• Revisions were made to the contract and riders without my knowledge or consent. During the 13 days before I was finally able to speak with Eugene, negotiations and changes were being made to the contract and riders without my consent, and in many cases, without my even knowing about the requested changes.
Although I was initially told by Jack that the entire contract negotiation process would likely take 7-10 days, the contract was still not finalized 14 days after it had initially been sent. By that point, the seller had become extremely frustrated with the process and pulled out of the deal.
In hindsight, I believe that my biggest mistake in this condo purchase transaction was hiring Weidenbaum and Harari to represent me. If I could do it over again, I would have hired a different legal team, and I genuinely believe that the outcome would have been different if I had.

On August 27th at 2:00 PM EST, I called your office seeking legal advice and assistance. Unfortunately, I encountered an individual who displayed an unprofessional and discourteous attitude. When I initially explained my situation, she abruptly informed me that your office does not handle such matters and hung up without allowing me to ask any further questions.
I called back to inquire about the specific cases your office does handle, as I believe my civil rights have been violated. However, before I could fully articulate my question, she interrupted, stating, "I said we don’t handle this, and I said have a great day," and then hung up on me once again.
Frustrated by this lack of assistance, I called a third time to request to speak with a supervisor. On two separate occasions, she answered the phone only to immediately hang up. When she finally responded, she simply said, "Please stop calling."
I would like to bring this matter to the attention of her supervisor, as this behavior reflects a lack of customer service skills and professionalism. It is disheartening to encounter such a response, especially when reaching out for help in a difficult situation. Individuals who prioritize dismissing potential clients over offering assistance should not be in positions where they interact with the public. As a college student in need of legal help, I expected better treatment.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that appropriate steps are taken to ensure others do not experience the same level of disregard.

I was hesitant to contact an injury lawyer at first, as my accident was still fresh, but I am so glad I reached out and found Dan Smyth. He was massive help during a turbulent time.

I cannot say enough about the service and professionalism from the Costo law office. In fact, they met my wife and I on a Sunday afternoon to make sure we were ready for the immigration interview. Danielle is a compassionate, caring and present family law attorney. She is responsive, timely and actually cares about the best interest of your child. He reassures me that the matter is being taken care of, but he has not taken any action. He provided a link to my proof of documents he supposedly sent to the employer, but the link was broken. Despite promising on many occasions to provide a working link, he has not done so.
Additionally, Mr. Henry has been unavailable frequently due to sick days, family emergencies, and now he is on vacation for a month. This matter is time-sensitive, and his prolonged absences are causing significant delays. He even promised to refund the money through Affirm, but Affirm cannot help me without his response, and it has been almost a year.
Mr. Henry has not handled this matter professionally. When I mentioned consulting with his board, he accused me of threatening him. I am extremely dissatisfied with his services and the lack of communication and progress in resolving my case.

I had as wonderful of an experience as one can have going through the divorce process with Nick as my attorney. I had switched a year into my case with no movement. Nick was able to come in and quickly catch up. He skillfully navigated a high conflict divorce and helped in protecting both myself and the children. There are pauses, and then there are telling pauses. I heard the second type a couple of years ago after police came to my door to ask a few questions about my Internet habits. Harmless, friendly questions, but laced with suspicion. I immediately contacted Mr. Becker. (I had his name from a highly regarded attorney in family law...he described Mr. Becker as a "real killer.") Mr. Becker told me in consultation that if the police came again, not to answer questions but refer them to him. In a day or two, a female officer called me on my home telephone and said she wanted to enter my apartment to inspect my "devices." I told her she would have to speak to my attorney. "Who is it?" she demanded, After I said "Gary Becker," came the pregnant pause. About a year pregnant. Then she muttered something that sounded like “Forget it,” and hung up! This was a big relief. There was nothing amiss on my devices, but I worried about a terrible hassle and planted evidence. Two years have passed and I've had no more scary calls or visits. Mr. Becker's very name, it turns out, is mighty medicine.
