If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely THE problem when it comes to attorneys this day and age.(maybe it’s just with men). If you want a game where you're being strung along and billed forever playing the rollercoaster game with you and your children's life instead of evidence being presented in a costly/timely and empathetic manner THIS IS YOUR GUY. Mr. Bancroft, i just got off the phone with you where you hung up on me stating that I’m threatening you. Get over your ego and realize that your business as a practicing attourney needs realignment. I wrote you about a standing invoice you provided totaling to less than the amount that Ive paid to you months prior with no response. After speaking to your paralegal, then being transferred to your “billing dept.” and speaking to them I was provided with a newer invoice…..with newer charges, where whomever was working before had originally just simply “forgot to send me the invoice”….what a convenient coincidence. After speaking with her, I was transferred to you where I had a conversation with your ego. Well, from the little guy(s) down here Mr. Bancroft, do whats right and fabricating invoices to skip out on paying balances owed on any moneys paid to you for the services that you DID NOT PROVIDE are just not that. Client paid $1750 in retainer fees(half of your 3500 to get the case started) and had to chase said attourney down for enquiries with little to no communications outside of ones that were initiated by me/client, INCLUDING in person conversation with YOU where I unexpectedly paid a visit to your office in August after I could not successfully contact anyone and asked about a status of my case. You did not recall my case by name until we went to your office and you searched my name.(keep in mind, this is three months after contracting). Attourney invoicing per attourney-client portals all state work for balance of $753, with latest payment from client being $631 in October.(this never happened, only payment made was the initial one and didn't make another due to subpar and in my opinion MALPRACTICAL, I'm aware that isn't an official word, service). After a few months of calling and majorly being placed on hold, back and forth’s with promises of returned calls or motions with paralegals, multiples of them and finally being frustrated with the reality of paying an attourney and not being fought for……while fighting a vindictive situation with my children as a GREAT DAD I asked for an explanation stating that if I did not hear anything as ai had been I wanted to discontinue services and be refunded via message inside of the client portal, I THEN was given a response…..but not with accountability, not with a plan of action, not to communicate any valuable evidence or structured plan of action, but to speak downward of me on the “dismal” months of non-payment……….ultimately this attourney demanded I paid him his past due amount, in addition to totals for mediations that hadn't even been had yet to avoid him WITHDRAWING. Needless to say I attended the mediation PRO SE, paid the mediator directly. I’m now on maximum state mandated child support and standard visitation for the children I equally raised because the relationship did not work out with their mother…finally divorced none the less. All of the evidence in the world to fight that good fight never presented, never saw a represented court setting, money just wasted and thank GOD I demanded a standard or it could have been MUCH MUCH worse financially. Contracted with this attourney on 5/24/2024….attourney withdrew as of 11/5/2024, yet they have still attempted to withdraw payment from my bank as of latest, 12/19/2024…….this was my SECOND attourney over a course of what I recall as a 3 year nightmare……I can confidently say, this is whats wrong with the family law system! Will edit with photo documentation when I have time.

Brian Walters expertly guided me through a multi-year custody case that was only resolved after a week-long jury trial was held. At trial, Brian was uniquely able to convey empathy towards the other parent while still delivering the hard facts of the case. I believe this resonated with the jury as they were being asked to make a decision that reflected the best interests of the child and not the best interests of either parent. In my personal case, and I suspect in most custody cases, it is easy to demonize the other parent for what they did to you and how their actions are continuing to hurt your parent-child relationship. From my perspective, this is why it is invaluable to retain a legal team that is emotionally intelligent in how they present the facts of the case. Brian was incredibly adaptive when speaking with witnesses and able to effectively anticipate and respond to comments from opposing counsel. Brian unquestionably focused and presented on the best interests of the child and I am beyond grateful to have been able to work with him and his firm.
Logan Kilgore joined our team towards the end of multi-year custody case and brought a refreshing positivity in an otherwise draining situation. Logan swiftly appraised herself of the case and I immediately felt secure not only with her professionalism but more significantly in her level of care. Throughout the case Logan listened to my concerns, stayed focused on the child’s best interests, and used all resources available to accurately convey those concerns during a temporary order hearing and during a week-long jury trial. At trial, I was humbled by Logan’s ability to manage exhibits, coordinate and examine witnesses, and communicate with all involved parties. I cannot say enough good things about Clepper Harrison & Duffy PLLC. From start to finish, I experienced the upmost professionalism and compassion. I ended every interaction with confidence and certainty. At the end of every call, Chanda and I both had clear expectations on what to do next--I had my tasks, she had hers, and every time we followed up, we were on the same page. She and her team are highly prepared, proficient, prompt, and consistent. I appreciated that the billing information was explained so well that I never felt like I had to wonder how much things were going to cost. I was billed on the 1st and the 15th of every month, and I personally loved that consistency. Although I have never worked with attorneys before, my personal opinion was that their fees were extremely fair and honest. Each bill had a running record of every item they completed, with times, dates, and explanations. I loved their practicality of providing phone calls and zoom calls, rather than meeting in person. My whole divorce was handled over phone calls/zooms and I never had to step foot into a court room. Although everyone's experience is different, I was able to complete an amicable, uncontested divorce that was finalized in just over 60 days. Without the help of Chanda and her team, there is no way I would have been able to do this on my own. I was very pleased with my outcome, which is astounding that I am even writing this sentence, because I am a person who never thought divorce was an option. I contact this law firm Joel to be exact, because he was working with my father before he died trying to locate property in Medina County. Joel charged me for the same work he did for my father. I first contacted Ms. Diaz when an ex employer was defaming me. Monique was brutally honest with me, advising it would be unlikely I would get awarded damages but we could get them to stop, which she did! I was so impressed, that when I had a family issue, I contacted Monique expecting her to advise me to someone in family law, but she quickly addressed that issue too. In fact, that’s what Ms. Diaz does best, quickly resolving the issue, so her clients don’t get billed needlessly. Michelle Lanfear was referred to me by another attorney. My first impression was that she was aggressive and attentive. Nothing could have been further from the truth. She was never around for anything, highly impatient, and let my ex-wife's attorney run all over her. Her employee was extremely rude to me and threatened me on several occasions. Her associate attorneys were great. However, that was the only saving grace in my experience with that firm. Never again!

Lack of communication, professionalism and basic courtesy. Secretary doesn’t have a clue when he is in/out. Asked to call back and he wasn’t there, asked to call back on Saturday. Emailed to confirm he was there on Saturday and secretary failed to respond. Mr Bryant left a vm that he would send email to address contract issues. No response to emails, voicemail or text messages. Phone appointment set up and no call. No communication to address. Finally received text from Mr Bryant stating that he would send email addressing contract. He was busy dealing with family and kids. Since that text, no communication whatsoever from secretary or Mr Bryant. Left voicemails, many emails and text messages, no response. Wants a high dollar for subpar nonexistent services. If he didn’t want to handle case, simple communication would suffice instead of wasting my time and aggravation.

I hired this lawyer for my divorce and it took a year and a half to go to court because he kept postponing it. He didn't argue on my behalf in court and my divorce is still not finalized. He did not return my phone calls or inform me of anything going on with my divorce proceedings. Once he got paid his communication eased even before the divorce proceeding took place.

Susan ann edwards was court appointed attorne back in 2010 after being releases from a 2 yr sentence I violated parole and was facing 12 yrs..I was actually very pleased with her..I got a 3 yr sentence due to her defense and feel that she actually did her job and fought for me.I would recommend her. Everyone is entitled to there opinion and may think other wise of Mrs edwards but I dealt with her first hand and if I ever decided to break the law again I will more likely call Mrs edwards..

susan edwards was a great lawyer, so i thought. she was attentive, and she seemed to follow through with her word.
i thought i had got so lucky seeing how she and i came to cross paths..... she was my court appointed attorney. all i knew of "court appointed" attorneys was what i saw in movies and had "heard" from a few girls i met years before, needless to say, it was not encouraging.
susan edwards is a lawyer of the worst kind, she led me on to believe i was in good hands, then dumped me off to a stranger for personal gain........i also thought she was "helping" me out with a personal issue, and with that one she just disappeared. and one of my cases ended very badly, and the other is still floating around while i continue to get screwed.

I trusted this attorney with everything but as things were getting tougher during my case she was asking me to stick with certain statements that were questionable and a bunch of lies that in my heart I could not tell in court. My husband and I have kids together and had a pretty good relationship until the lies were said in court. I have to hire another attorney. I would not recommend this attorney.

I hired Velia Meza for a divorce case and she went to Mexico for vacation in the middle of the case, she came back a few days before the court date and she wasn't prepared, she didn't do any work on the case. On the court date she was sitting next to the other's party lawyer having a friendly and fun conversation. She didn't fight for me, she didn't defended me. She didn't do anything... I lost. If you hired her I hope you have a better luck.

This was my 1st Time dealing with a Criminal Law Charge regarding my son and had many concerns and questions. When I asked a question, I was greeted with curse words and verbal abuse, extremely demeaning comments. EEOC case that drug out several years due to lack of organization from this firm. I am leaving this review in hopes that no one else has to go through this nightmare. Was not prepared for deposition, forgot key facts sent over and discussed many times, forgot to inform me of a key date to meet for mediation and then lost my contact information. I am told that at some point this office was great but is anything but that .I was left to beg for return phone calls or updates over a period of several years and felt worse even when things were resolved. Office staff is never in office nor do they have any in formation to share as they seem to have little to no interaction with Adam.
