Jean Huang is an excellent Lawyer. She assisted me when I actually had to attend the court hearing for my bankrupcy. She has such patience when dealing with you and she encourages you. She takes her time to review everything you need to know for the hearing. She even knew I was nervous so she made me comfortable before the hearing. She was professional at all times. Like so many others my wife and I had the misfortune to find ourselves in a position where we finally had to “bite the bullet” and file for a Chapter 13 bankruptcy. We could not have made a better decision. Mr. Handelman, along with his associate attorney Jean Huang, provided us with the most professional advice that we could have hoped for. The best way to describe her is Shakespeare's character of ''Shylock'' in The Merchant of Venice. In 2024, I hired her for a DCFS hearing before an administrative judge and after collecting my hard earned money, she changed completely! As an Attorney she was supposed to carry out interviews prior to the hearing to help give my case a chance, but she didn't. During the hearing I was the one that brought one person to support me. My advice to anyone, DO NOT HIRE her, she will do TERRIBLE JOB!!!!

Alex Rothenberg served as the court-appointed GAL (Guardian ad Litem) in my case, and my experience with her was deeply troubling. Despite initially appearing engaged by asking questions and taking notes, she failed to address any of my concerns, displayed a clear bias toward my ex-wife, and accepted her statements as truth without requiring any supporting evidence.
Alex prematurely removed herself from the case, leaving critical issues unresolved and contributing to an outcome where my daughter has been denied fair and equal time with both parents. Her actions violated several key statutes and guidelines that GALs are required to follow in Illinois, including:
750 ILCS 5/506(a)(2): GALs must conduct an independent investigation, including interviews and a review of relevant documents, and provide an objective recommendation to the court. Alex failed to conduct a thorough investigation or verify evidence, instead relying on unchecked statements from my ex-wife.
Best Interest of the Child Standard (750 ILCS 5/602.7): GALs are required to prioritize the child’s well-being and ensure meaningful relationships with both parents unless there is clear evidence to the contrary. Alex’s biased and incomplete recommendations directly harmed my daughter’s ability to have a fair and balanced relationship with both parents.
Ethical Obligations of Attorneys and GALs: GALs are required to avoid personal bias, remain neutral, and act in a professional manner that serves the child’s best interests. Alex’s personal bias against me was evident and unprofessional, resulting in recommendations that prioritized her own prejudice over the needs of a 5-year-old child.
To make matters worse, Alex’s conduct was part of a broader pattern within her firm. Other members of her firm displayed similarly unethical behavior, including inflated billing practices, misrepresentations to the court, and a general failure to uphold professional standards.
Alex’s unprofessional and unethical behavior, combined with her failure to follow required statutes, caused irreparable harm to my daughter’s well-being. Her actions were not only a disservice to the court but also a direct violation of the trust placed in her to act in the best interests of the child.
Avoid Alex Rothenberg and her entire firm. Their lack of professionalism, integrity, and accountability makes them unfit for any legal matter, particularly those involving children.

I was referred to David by a friend of mine who went through a bankruptcy himself. David and his team were absolutely top notch in their representation of my Chapter 7 case. I had a very complex case with very little assets while going through a contested divorce. David walked me through every step of the process, timely answered all my questions, and kept me and appraised of the status. He promptly replied to my divorce attorney emails as well when the case was filed, which helped me along the way.

Mr. Podkowa was my bankruptcy lawyer and made the whole thing super easy, well planned and brief. And now it is over. Mr. Hart was consulted by me and my husband because we were in over our heads financially. We made poor financial decisions through and through. I remember spending hours at a time sitting at the table trying to pay bills. Sitting down once a month to pay bills became three to four times a week. I cried so many tears. We needed help and went to see Mr. Hart. I picked him from a random list and am so grateful that it was him that we consulted. My experience with Salvador is that of hope. Salvador was referred to my family and it honestly added hope to a situation for too difficult cope with. In 2015, my parents along with my sister, seemed to had been fighting a losing battle to save a home. Mr. Lopez did an outstanding job assisting me with the foreclosure sale of my home in Illinois although I lived in another state. He was very thorough explaining every step of the process. I especially appreciated the fact that the process was completed in 30 days. I communicated with him via phone and email. I was concerned about having to come back to Chicago for closing and that was not necessary which was a tremendous load off of me given my financial state at that time. I found the Springer Law Firm on line and called them up. I was able to have questions resolved over the phone.
After meeting with Mr Springer I was told of my options and was not pressured into anything. The consultation was free even though I didn't file.
I had checked out other firms and was surprised to find out how much they charged. I even asked him how much it would be before I chose to not file. He had told my the price and I was surprised at how much less it would have been to go through him.
I highly recommend this firm! They are the most affordable, with the highest quality of work (at least what I experienced). They were always responsive and proved to be knowledgeable. I hate to think how much I could have paid if I was convinced to file with another law firm. It's nice to know there are people out there that don't try to take advantage of you.

In trying to obtain a loan modification from Bank of America, and not getting any response, I was forced to hire an attorney to save our house. Ms. Crowell has been truly wonderful. She is very knowledgable in real estate and foreclosure law, extremely responsive to any questions and concerns I may contact her about by phone or email or in person, and goes beyond the call to not only keep me informed, but to give me several options that we can look at. My experience with Garry Novak was positive. He handled a Formal Hearing with the Secretary of State petitioning for driving relief. With my past driving history and number of DUI’s I thought my case was difficult and may take a few attempts to receive relief. Garry Novak was able to have driving relief issued to me on our first attempt at a Secretary of State Formal Hearing. I would recommend his services to anyone petitioning for driving relief. Garry Novak kept informed through communicating with me frequently about my case. He was very knowledgeable and informative about DUI law and probably outcomes with my history. CJ Lamb was outstanding with my representation. There were some challenges that were a result of the condo association not settling a civil suit that CJ navigated to keep the deal together and also went far and above in chasing down UPS trucks literally to obtain paperwork that was supposed to be delivered overnight but was not.

When we came to Dustin, we didn't think we had a way out of our situation.
