It has taken me too long to post this review and for that I am sorry. I am an attorney and can certainly give Karen a stellar peer review. However, I have also had the opportunity to be her client. A number of years ago my firm was involved in a nasty dispute with another firm and multiple other parties in Bankruptcy court. I’m not sure what word would best describe Ronald Page. Ronald Page was recommended to me via the Virginia law board. I called Ronald Page and discussed my situation with him and I felt that he could be the best person who could help me as it turned out , my hunch was 100% correct. We discussed my case in detail, and after he would present something to me, he was in ask do I understand what we just spoke about. Going forward highly recommend calling Ronald Page to be your bankruptcy attorney in a heartbeat. On a scale of 1 to 10 zero not being likely and 10 would be absolutely, I’d have to give Ronald a shower 11, that’s how great I thought he was! ...My research post sudden-need for divorce representation led to a consult w/well-regarded by peers, well-reviewed Ms. Jennifer Fox in Richmond, VA. Charisma and intellectual gravitas was my immediate impression. I made my "case"/communicated the financial groundwork from my dozen documents in hand. Ms. Fox was patient, then informative, relating the legal parameters for seperation leading to divorce, "amicable" or otherwise. Consumately professional, she intimated that I may be better served by Ms. Stephanie A. Montgomery, an attorney with a powerful skillset in divorce law, combined with passion and compassion regarding the protection and care of her clients. Ms. Fox had worked alongside Ms. Montgomery, and explained her advocacy also due to my divorce occuring geographically being in her jurisdiction, in case "amicable" went sideways, and local court apearences became neccesary. (meaning billable costs of travel-time for Ms. Fox to Williamsburg should be considered a factor) Ms. Fox "suggested" I speak less..let Ms. Montgomery's own professional intellectual agility do me the most service. ( This turned out to be great advice personally and professionally) Second consult appointment happened in few days. ...Thankfully, the 5 minute drive to Ms. Montgomery's location was a relief, and her office desk staff and paralegal were warm and cordial, in minutes, Ms. Montgomery escoted me to her adjacent office. I experienced a wave of relief, that "you're right were you're supposed to be" in that moment, her prescence/vibe, vocal tone and impression on point...effortlessly. I comfortably listened as the facts and "game-board" were confirmed. My then wife had retained counsel some months ago, and had produced a financial spreadsheet and preliminary legal agreement Stephanie could analyze for their intent and stategy. There were several terms/demands not even legally appropriate involving shared married expenses, even in the face of opposing party's superior income and net worth. With me, I found David to be detailed in describing my options and what he suggested to the best avenue for me. However, he gave me plenty of time to consider the options and then make my decision. Not only did he allow me to make periodic payments, sort of like an Escrow, until I had the funds to file. His fees were more reasonable than most. David walked me through each step and reassured me of what to expect. I certainly hope none of my friends need his services; however, I'll definitely reccommend him with confidence that they too will be grateful to have chosen David!

I had my first consultation (Zoom) with Attorney Pfeiffer yesterday, and our meeting went very well! Attorney Pfeiffer appeared to be very knowledgeable, experienced, and especially thorough about the entire process of filing bankruptcy, which helped to put me at ease. During our consultation (which I was given a choice of face-to-face or online), Attorney Pfeiffer gave me a step-by-step rundown of the bankruptcy process, which covered everything from filing a Chapter 13 or a Chapter 7, a rundown of cost and payment options, the documents that would be needed, as well as available services offered (once bankruptcy completed) that would help rebuild my credit/credit score...

I consulted with Edrie about a family matter concerning my kids. I am a divorced dad with twins and Edrie gave me the direction and honesty I was looking for with the situation I am now dealing with. After retiring my finances got out of control and I had to file bankruptcy. This was a scary thing for me to do because I didn't know what to expect. I spent several days calling different bankruptcy lawyers. I called about fifteen different bankruptcy attorneys and was unable to get help from them because they did not have the time to help me and basically rushed me off the phone. i used merna law for chapter 7, I was very embarrassed and felt like a failure, he explained everything well, and really fought for me. my credit was terrible i could not even get a car loan. he got my case discharged, explained how to build credit. 1 year later for approved for 1.4% car loan for five years. he is laid back, but knows his stuff. sadly i live in north carolina and they made a ruling after my case that we can no longer file in va, otherwise I would use the firm him 4 life

I first worked with Mr. Wells in 2012 when I met with him for a bankruptcy consultation. I was very apprehensive about the whole process but really had no choice so I hired him and moved foreward. He listened to my concerns and was always there with accuracy and professionalism, explaining each step. I never had a doubt that he was on top of things and that helped so much. What a relief! Three years later and I have rebuilt my credit and am doing well. I had a question about a lien that was attached to my property before the bankruptcy. I am now in a position to settle that last remnant of my past financial troubles so I gave his office a call today. I was filing a Chapter 13 on my own, and soon realized I was in far over my head. Therefore, because we wanted a lawyer nearby to Fredericksburg, we contacted Jeanne Hovenden. It was the best decision we could have made. She was approachable, friendly, and most importanlt, knowledgabe. She set to work fixing our mistakes, and put us back on track in short order. That was 5 years ago, and during the process, she promply answered our questions, and kept us informed. We never felt like she had taken the money and forgot about us, but was a true advocate. As a first time for sale by owner house seller I reached out to Rob based off of other reviews I had seen. I was not disappointed! He reviewed our contract before he even received the payment, always got back to us in a timely manner, answered all of our questions, and made us feel really comfortable. I have been represented by David Martin in the past as a private attorney and recently as a public defender for a misdemeanor traffic case. He is a very talented lawyer and will be always be quick to answer inquiries in a very prompt manner. Every personal experience I have had with him has been incredibly positive and I am always satisfied with the case resolution. He possesses a great rapport with the prosecution team and judges which will create a fair atmosphere. Mr. Martin is also very honest and personable which develops a great attorney client relationship and confidence in his abilities. As my case continued, I saved up enough funds to retain private representation and asked Mr. Martin if he thought it was necessary, but he assured me that he would fight equally as hard for his client whether retained privately or appointed by the court. I trusted him and continued with him as my public defender which resulted in the case not being prosecuted due to his effective strategy. I was both incredibly pleased and relieved with the result. If you can afford an attorney, his private lawyer fees and retainers are very reasonable. I was between a rock a hard place and had to seek help in very short order, or I would lose my home to unfortunately circumstances. When I found Brian's information, I picked up the phone, on a whim, and assumed that I'd be leaving a voicemail and then waiting for days to hear back, as time was ticking away. I believe it was a weekend evening; phone started to ring and he answered right away! I was completely unprepared, but midst being very emotional and almost crying, I tried to explain my situation. From the moment I met (online) Ms. Vaillancourt, I knew I was in good hands. She started by introducing herself and explaining that she would be my lawyer for the day in court. She made sure I had been given my questions of what the trustee would ask of me so I would be relaxed at knowing exactly what to expect. When I arrived at the courthouse, she began explaining everything that would happen in the courtroom. I came in somewhat scared and worried, but she calmed any fears or concerns by answering all of my questions before we went into the courtroom, even the ones about the smallest details. Once in the courtroom, and before we started, she explained again, step-by-step what the procedure would be, where I would sit, where the trustee and his aides would sit, what they would do, and I felt myself beginning to relax. I watched other lawyers go up with their clients and was amazed that they were no where near as prepared as we were. I had all of my information ready, and so when I saw that one person ahead of us still had not filed certain paperwork, I knew again I was in good hands. When my turn came to go before the trustee, Ms. Vaillancourt sat beside me in front of him when he asked questions, and gave me assistance when I did not understand a question, and helped me through the whole process. When the trustee asked me questions, I answered in yes, no, etc, and I was done in only about 5 minutes, unlike the persons who had lawyers from a different office. It had taken 15 minutes to half an hour for them to go through the questions. She is smart, professional in manners- knowledge- and appearance, and answers all of the questions you have. She is very knowledgeable in the law, in how the court works, and what is expected of her clients. She is very kind and considerate, and understands how hard this process is for people. When she spoke with me outside the courtroom, she spoke quietly so as to not let others in the room hear my information and that showed me I could trust her. I had never gone through any kind of process like this before, so I was grateful that I had Kaitlin with me the whole way. And, she was concerned enough about me to do a follow-up to see how I was doing. Total care, kindness, knowledge, and responsibility for her clients.

Throughout 2013 and 2014, Rachael Hammer has done an excellent job with my divorce, support and custody case despite extremely contentious and difficult circumstances. The custody case started with the mother trying to limit visitation to twice per month which led to a hearing where Ms. Hammer successfully argued for joint custody. I had been convinced by another attorney that I needed to file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy. I went through with it, but then another friend of mine and I were talking and it got me wondering if I should have done a Chapter 7 and not been stuck with the payments for a Chapter 13. My friend gave me Mr. Davis' number so I went to talk to him. It turned out that there was no good reason for me to do a Chapter 13 since I rent my home. Mr. Davis explained that I didn't need to lose my car or anything by filing Chapter 7, and it was a much faster process than the 13. He said that a discharge is a discharge, and there's no big advantage to paying a part of your debt through a Chapter 13 if you don't have anything to lose in a Chapter 7. So we converted my case from a 13 to a 7 and I'm very glad that I went to see him because getting a discharge in 4 months instead of in 5 years was a good change for me. I've been able to start rebuilding my credit a lot faster than I thought, too. I felt like he was really listening to what I needed and making sure I understood everything about my case. I hope I never have to file bankruptcy again, but if I did I'd go back to him.

Mr. Davis filed bankruptcy Chapter 7 for me and my wife. He was real patient and answered all of our questions. We thought we were going to need a Chapter 13 bankruptcy but Mr. Davis told us we didn't have to do that to be able to keep our home, so we were glad he was honest about it. Everything went just the way he said it would, so that made us happy. His secretary can answer most any question you have after filing and is real helpful, too. With just Mr. Davis and his assistant they can't always return your phone call right away and he's in court or with other clients a lot, but if you don't mind waiting for him to get back to you he's a real good lawyer. I recommend him.

Mr. Davis handled our Chapter 7 filing. He's really young, but he's a good lawyer. He and his secretary are really friendly and welcoming. We got our discharge without any issues at all. Sometimes it takes a day before he returns a call, but that's probably because there's only the two of them and they get really busy. His price was also better than a lot of other places I called. I definitely recommend him. They seemed to really care about helping us.

Mrs Gardner took care of our bankruptcy. She was extremely knowledgable in both the chapter 7 and 13 and helped me to figure out which one was the best at helping our family. She was even able to get 2 mortgage liens stripped because my house was no longer worth the amount of the two equity loans. She was wonderful at making us feel comfortable and always quick at replying to our emails or calling us back when we had questions. I stopped in the office to get her help with out an appointment when I was panicked over my husband having his clearance taken because of our financial problems and she brought me right into her office and wrote a letter for us and made copies of paperwork for us and calmed me down as she worked with her scheduled clients in other offices. Mrs Gardner saved my husbands clearance and helped us save our home with our bankruptcy! She is wonderful!

Was most helpful in a Chap 7 bankruptcy following loss of employment. Her skill enabled me to retain my automobiles and two residential properties through the bankruptcy. Her advice enabled me to complete loan modifications on both mortgages successfully, even though she did not represent me in either process. I've always paid my bills on time and managed my money so I never thought I would be in bankruptcy. Then I was unemployed for over a year and my tenants moved out six months into that year. I started out by calling a law firm that said it only did bankruptcy but they kept not getting back to me. I called the state bar to complain and the bar referred me to Fenlene.
