I had an illegal stalking case in 2007, supposed to get probation, Redfield made an agreement with the DA, but the defendant went on the stand for about an hour & ended up screwed over & convicted.
I stopped in yesterday & spoke with Redfield, but didn't remember him making an agreement.
If she wouldn't have gone on the stand, would have gotten probation.
He is retiring at the end of this month & won't take new cases.

By far the best family law experience I have ever had. I have been battling a custody case for going on 7 years. If we're honest I didn't really have the money to hire an attorney and had been doing it on my own. Well in short I had a couple disgruntled ex gfs and a biased g.a.l. against me. Mr Redfield handled it all very well. I almost felt as if my case was the only case he was handling although I know that wasn't the case. The biggest thing for me was his compassion. He and I talked for hours and hours...all of which he didn't charge me extra money for, as has been my experience with most other lawyers. We discussed a price and he stuck to it. Which was HUGE for me, because if he wanted more money I probably would have been out of luck. In court (which ended up being a 3 day evidentiary hearing) he couldn't have examined/cross examined better. He and I had some different thoughts on the process but I put my trust in him seeing as he's the lawyer. He didn't let me or my son down. In fact he couldn't have done better. If you're dealing with a custody issue choose this guy. You won't regret it. Every man I know feels they don't have a chance in custody court, pick Jared Redfield and you won't feel that way anymore. The cards were against me going in. But he brought to light ALL the facts that really mattered and showed the court what a fathers love truly means. And against the g.a.l. recommendation the judge ruled for me to have primary placement and sole custody. Which is truly what is in my sons best interest. From me and my kids. THANK YOU Jared.

From the outset Jared was a true professional. I was entering into what became an extremely difficult divorce case which was further complicated by my loss of job and an opposing attorney that would say and do anything his client wished regardless of facts. Jared will listen and advise accordingly. His calming demeanor helped me when things were at there most difficult. Jared is compassionate and actively cared about me during the whole process. There were hard times for me personally and Jared was there to listen and give comforting expert guidance and a plan forward. After a hard fought case, Jared prevailed and won the case. I cannot imagine having a more compassionate, knowledgeable and professional attorney representing me throughout this whole process.

I can’t say enough good things about Sean and his staff. I had a very messy divorce. I worked with another lawyer for seven months and he did very little for me except continually remind me that Wisconsin was a 50/50 state and that even though I brought significant assets into the marriage while my ex had, none, I earned about three times more during the marriage, and we were only married for a short time, I was going to have split everything 50/50 with him. He pressured me to agree to a very bad mediation deal.
Luckily, before having the judge finalize the mediation agreement, I came across Sean‘s reviews on Google. I wasn’t just looking at how many stars he was given but I read what people wrote about him. People repeatedly commented on his commitment, his dedication, and going the extra mile. I made an appointment for a consultation with Sean. Within the first five minutes of our meeting, he said, “Let me show you what the law actually says, I have had to educate other counsel and judges about this.” He printed off the actual law where it states that Wisconsin is a 50/50 state after consideration is made for the following items, which included length of marriage, what each brought into the marriage, and the length of the marriage.
After talking a little more, he asked why I didn’t have a restraining order and I told him that my previous lawyer told me it was 50/50 whether I would get it and that it would be inflammatory and work against me even though I felt very unsafe and threatened. Sean appeared very upset after hearing this, and disagreed, but continued to be professional and not bad mouth the other lawyer.
Sean was very brave about taking on my case this late in the game with a fast approaching court date and so much information to take in. Also, my ex hired a lawyer who I had heard said is the best divorce lawyer in La Crosse. I wholeheartedly disagree, because Sean definitely is the best.
I am still in awe of the commitment Sean made to helping me get a fair trial and a great outcome. I would see emails from him sent on weekends and in the middle of the nightat times. It was so reassuring to know he was on my side and so determined. He blocked out several days of his calendar so that he could familiarize himself with my huge stack of documents. As soon as I retained Sean as my attorney, I finally felt like I could relax and let him take care of it. I knew that no matter what happened with the results of the trial, I would be satisfied, because I had the best representation I could possibly have.
My hearing went on for two days. Sean was relentless in his effort to get me a fair trial and justice. In the end, the judge decided to divide the assets 80/20 in my favor. I did not get everything I wanted, but that never happens in court. It was about $70,000 that Sean saved me based on what my previous attorney was forecasting with a trial outcome.
In some ways, more importantly, Sean gave me the opportunity to tell my story and have it validated by the judge. He was so committed to making it clear that I tried so hard during the marriage and that my ex was dishonest and completely took advantage of me. It seemed that Sean felt a moral obligation to not let my ex take more from me and to have his greediness and dishonesty exposed.
I will also say that his staff was very friendly and hard-working. Sean went out of his way to try to save me money when he could by having me do some of the legwork if I wanted. He kept me consistently updated on status and promptly responded to all of my messages. Hopefully I will never need counsel again, but if I did, I would definitely retain Sean again. If it were possible to give him 10 stars, I would.

My ex boyfriend who had lived with me for 10 years wanted half of everything I had after he had already agreed on and cashed the $20,000 cashier check that I had given him for half of the home improvements he helped with. I usually don't write reviews, I either forget, or am not invested enough to take the time to write my experience, or feel that the review platform is just for hearing my own voice. HOWEVER, I feel it important, this time, to write a review of Atty. Payne. I found myself in financial "hot water" this year and felt that I was stuck in a situation that had no end. I initially consulted with Atty. Payne and after spending an hour of time with me, I had not only a "road map" to solving my problem, but an increase in my knowledge about debt and debt collections and the bankruptcy process. He listened and offered advice based on my own situation, NOT some cookie cutter solution like you see on TV at 2 am. I suddenly had a plan, and steps to take to get out from under crushing debt and a pretty horrible situation. Atty. Payne helped me understand the plan, the steps, my options and was incredibly skilled in advising me without forcing me into a situation I wasn't comfortable with.

I have had the pleasure of working with Luke and his team for 2 really bad car accidents (9/2015 and 1/2016). When I first met Luke I appreciated that he listened to all my concerns, answered all my questions and did not give me the typical lawyer pitch on how he could help me get a large some of money. Instead Luke told me exactly what the process would look like, realistic timelines as to how long the process would take and even step by step directions on what I should do if I chose not to use a lawyer. I found Steve to be personal and professional simultaneously. This is a feat for most of us, with lawyers being either one or the other and often neither. Steve was focused on my case and successfully found a Chapter 7 solution when the means test made it look improbable.
Steve didn't "sugar coat" the situation, and was very upfront even when he had to say something I didn't necessarily want to hear. There were no "suprises" along the way. Steve was able to mitigate the stress level associated with bankruptcy; which was a tremendous help.
From the standpoint of value, Steve's fees were very reasonable especially considering the level of responsiveness, personal service and results provided. I didn't feel like I was part of a "bankruptcy mill" or being given only cursory attention. In part, I believe, that this is because Steve is a single lawyer firm....bigger isn't always better.
I highly recommend Steve!

Mr. Cotter was able to file a chapter 7 without issues when other bankruptcy lawyers thought it wasn't possible due to the means test. He did not give up when there was clearly a need for bankruptcy protection and researched all aspects of the law to find a solution. If it wasn't for his excellent research skills my financial situation would be very bleak indeed.

I speak to the people who are looking for an attorney who is able to first of all be honest and give an accurate evaluation of your money being spent wisely. We then spoke about how things would play out in the amount of court time, phone calls (BILLED IN QUARTERLY BY THE HOUR) and one on one office strategy meetings. Attorney Cotter before taking one dollar from me, sent me to a tax advisor to see if i would be responsible for the liability if we lost the case. I had seen two other attorneys all saying I had no chance of WINNING, Attorney Cotter saw a posibility and he won my day. He is on his own with a wealth of knowledge and I think this was a key to the success. If you seek one on one personal service and do not care to be a part of the lawyer factory, I am on a 4 month holiday and that is as good as it gets! GOOD LUCK who ever you choose.

Roy has been my attorney for almost ten years now. That’s when I started my business and connected with attorney Hegard. By far the best business decision I could of made. As nerve racking as it can be starting a business Roy stated the pro’s and con’s in a calming manner with such expertise. I never felt rushed or forced out of are meetings because there was another appointment waiting. Like most attorneys give you an hour time slot but cut you short 15mins because next appointment? Not with Roy, if he offers you the time you will get all that time. He will even answer the phone if you call, and if you have to leave a message he will call you back! Roy treats you like family and he had never let me down once! When I was looking to purchase some real estate Roy was quick to get the ball rolling, timing was top notch, and the guy overall just knows how to do his job. I never had to question his charges and it always seemed like I got a lot for a little. Trust me you will not be disappointed!

Atty Kerr went above and beyond with my case. I originally had a lawyer that a friend recommended who managed to botch just about everything. I looked at AVVO and Better Business Bureau and decided to go with Miller and Miller (A+ rating) where Atty Kerr works.
She immediately spotted obvious problems with my case, went over everything in depth with me, and was available when I needed questions answered or reassurance. She was able to fix the many problems from the previous lawyer that almost cost my autistic son all of his money for the future.

As first time going through bankruptcy we were not sure what to expect from the process much less who to trust. Greg explained each step and all fees involved before we even hired him. During the process he was always quick answer our calls and kept us informed all along the way. Never made us feel bad just always there to answer our questions. I had a legal sitution that festered for over five years. Complicating the matter was that I received a judgement in another state and my opponent sought to evade payment in Wisconsin. This mattered little to Mr. Thill. He quickly registered our judgement in Wisconsin and began proceedings. What impressed me the most was that Mr. Thill kept at it no matter what my opponent attempted, tried, or said. I had a business in Illinois and sold it. The contract was a pay back over 15 years. The buyer filled Bankruptcy with an outstanding balance due to me. I retired after the sale and moved to Northwestern Wisconsin. I tried to find a lawyer to help me with no luck in Illinois or were not interested.

I am a restructuring consultant and I have worked with Ginger on four matters over about ten years. In every one she has been extremely timely in her communications, detailed and prepared in her legal work, and clear in her verbal communications. She also sees the matter from the client's perspective, so that if it is simply procedural, she explains the why and when; if there are legal strategies to be weighed , she explains the pros and cons to prepare the client to make a decision.
She has helped in a unique state of Wisconsin receivership action under which a retail chain was sold for full repayment of the secured; in an out-of-court debt restructuring, which included a forbearance agreement and debt covenant re-set; and a contentious chapter 11 proceeding, where she served as counsel to the Chief Restructuring Officer. Potential litigation in this matter, in particular, was new territory to me, and Ginger's easy and confident style as well as legal-eagle drafting prevented tensions from rising too high.
All of the matters were successfully concluded from the client's perspective.

Mr. Lococo met with us initially to better understand out situation. He was quiet most of the initial meeting, taking down information and details about our financial issues.
