If you are up a creek without a paddle then look no further than Mr. Tim McKinzie, the head honcho of McKinzie and Associates! When my young child's father needed an attorney to represent him in a malicious, emotionally draining, and on-going custody battle because I left him, his choice in retaining Tim made perfect sense! Tim is more famous locally for his dedication to getting those charged with criminal acts (multiple DUIs, assault, etc.) off as easy as possible as to not be accountable for their actions. In THIS case, however, his versatility was really spotlighted as he proudly used every scare tactic and humiliation method against me to unlawfully and unethically produce a "win" for his client. This display was unparalleled in that he showed literally no compassion, no understanding, and had no interest in my responses to his client's accusations, but rather mercilessly drilled me to tears until I was almost forced to just "take what I could get". If you are in need of a lawyer that will have to violate any and/or all standards and ethical codes to get you the results you want, Tim is your man! He even personally reached out to me via letter to please contact him with questions or concerns! I did and he got back to me promptly but I think he may have been having cramps or something because he very rudely hung up on me 30 seconds into conversation for asking him a question. He did inform me that was not how "things worked" first, so I even was given free legal advice! Thanks Tim, for keeping the stereotype of cutthroat law alive!

Attny Horbus handled our estate planning documents including living trust, last will and testament and durable POA. Attny Horbus also assisted in handling my brothers estate with out of state attnys which was very complex but he handled it with utmost care and professionalism which we greatly appreciated. He also prepared a property easement which enabled us and adjoining property owners mutual access.

I was originally given a public defender and they didn't seem like they wanted to even help me. So someone recommend Olivia to me and so I went with her. I was not disappointed with my choice. She did great and actually seemed to care about my case. She got my case dropped at the first court date she went to. The public defender went to three court dates and still didn't have it dropped. I recommend her to anyone needing legal help.

I'm from Houston, TX. I was driving through Missouri late one evening on my way to Michigan. I was pulled over and received a speeding ticket. I hired a different law firm in Missouri to handle the ticket. I paid them and the fines and the informed me that it was all taken care of. A few years later I attempted to renew TX DL and was informed that my TX DL had been revoked for a traffic violation by the state of Missouri. Houston was hit by Hurricane Harvey, and my house was flooded. I lost all my records in the flood. The TX Department of motor vehicles was useless, they could not tell me what municipality in Missouri the ticket was from. All they would say was to contact Missouri. When I attempted to contact Missouri, all I could get was the automated phone options that would always leave me on hold for hours and hours. I gave up and hired an attorney in Houston to figure it out for me. The attorney Houston took my $500 and several months later informed me that he was unable to find out anything helpful, but he could do more research for another $500.
Finally, I did a search for traffic attorney in Jefferson City, MO and came across Dodson & Waters. Nancy Hanks answered the phone, and I gave her brief description of my problem. Within 5 minutes Nancy had searched the public records and found the original ticket and the records where the original attorney had paid the the fines and court costs. She then was able to get the reinstatement issued from Missouri to Texas. Solving a legal problem in minutes that two other attorneys had failed at for years.

I’m so glad I cancelled my payment plan with them when I did as I will no longer do business with them after the recently settled lawsuit. You can’t have shady business practices and expect to not be called out for it. And when Lexington Law does get called out, they say that they follow all laws but then get a class action lawsuit & judgement against them for illegal telemarketing practices. Sounds like a real honest business to me (insert sarcasm). Avoid Lexington Law.
