They represented my former wife who had an affair. Then they had an advertisement in the Times Union that made her look like a domestic abuse victim (to raise funds for themselves ) stating I tried to keep her at home when she spent most of the last year of our marriage overseas having an affair. They helped my immoral spouse rip me off financially for as much as she could get. Because I was in the military, they tried to slander me with a certain stereotype as a domestic abuser. I showed the article to anyone who knew us (probably approaching a 100 people) and the article got a million laughs. Obviously, the place has no ethics and if they have to use someone like my former wife as a poster child - what an absolute sham. It is cover for some money making unethical enterprise and is an unquestionable travesty. The Times Union is also a joke by the way - incompetent reporting. I tried reaching out to both organizations with evidence that what was printed was a lie and they didn't have the courage or moral fortitude to review the facts. The saddest part is they violated the non-disparagement part of our divorce agreement and contributed to the alienation from my son. The legal project - the REAL DOMESTIC ABUSERS. Don't believe me - let me present all the facts. Just reach out.

I write this to bring awareness to anyone who has a time sensitive case. While their mission May state they believe all people deserve access to Justice and legal advice their practices appear unprofessional and uninterested in offering help. Multiple attempts to provide requested items to schedule an intake , even sending by mail return receipt requested,. Multiple attempts to follow up the status of scheduling an intake to get the same response requesting documents that have already been sent . Despite multiple attempts reaching out via phone and email I never got a response for scheduling an intake or declining request for help. I wouldn't recommend this place for legal services or donations.

I’ll never forget frantically finding a lawyer back in the early 2000s when I was facing a very dangerous situation that involved my ex husband gaining custody of our three children. I didn’t know where to look but I saw an ad in the yellow pages and was later connected with Dominick.
The entire process was so much more complicated than I anticipated but Dominick made it simple and easy for me to understand. He worked tirelessly and fought for my freedom from my ex husband and was able to gain full custody of my children. I trusted him with my life and he did not disappoint me. I am forever grateful.

Attorney Dom Brignola is an excellent lawyer. I trust him completely. I first worked with Dominick on the formation of a not-for-profit women's care ministry around 1987. My entire divorce settlement document and agreements were revealed over a 20 year time period to be fraudulent interpretations of what i was told those articles meant. What they wrote and what i was advised they meant legally, I signed in agreement to those fraudulent wordings, was a lie. Over the past 20 years it has affected my life and the lives around me with extremely serious consequences. Recently a 2 year old child that i was helping financially died as a result of one of those "wordings". My daughter and her 3 children are facing eviction from her home as I am helping her too through these rough financial times. I trusted Dominic to uphold my rights and the rights of my children. Sorry to say he did not support these rights.

Mr Assaf is a brilliant and talented attorney. As a single woman with an abusive ex and no local family Mr Assaf really stood up for me.
As someone who has worked in the field Mr Assaf stands out. He is always available for his clients day and night. It’s a rare thing in the days where you can’t get an email back from an attorney in a timely fashion. Is he cheap? No. He bills more than fairly especially for the representation you get. He is well knowledgeable in many facets of law. I send everyone I know to him.

Even with proof (medical records, video and audio recordings etc.) that one of their employees was an abuser to his dying wife and their children this firm still decided to keep said lawyer; Allen Kassenoff employed with them. Do not spend any of your money or time with this law firm, go somewhere that actually values the truth and values making decisions that are morally right.

I had to get four different doctors to confirm that, in fact, I did not suffer from any mental illnesses. It was not enough, apparently, that I had no history of mental illness, and had been vetted for much of my adult life by both the state and federal governments when I worked as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of New York and Special Counsel to the Governor of New York and had never had any episodes or diagnoses of mental condition.

HORRIBLE! Mr, Gelbman was unprofessional at every turn or our experience. Did NOTHING in a timely fashion after a family members passing. If you are considering getting an attorney, get ANYONE ELSE! Ethics or ethical behavior we found was not his strong suit!

Attorny Gelbman was hired to take care of a traffic violation in upstate new york for me. He told me the matter was resolved and provided me with a document and a fine which I paid. Turns out that he gave me the wrong documents and the fine was sent to a different court altogether. After I had informed him of his mistake he acknowledged it and said he'd "take care of it" but then he stopped responding to my/off the record's phone calls. Highly unprofessional.

I wish I could give a negative star, he constantly lied to me and made the process to evict my tenant real hard and took a year. Then kept lying to me that he’s doing proper paperwork with the court and court verified he filed wrong paperwork and does whatever he wants, makes fake promises and triesto screw you, he hung up on me and told me I can’t represent you after court told him the paperwork is wrong and found out he was lying to me from the start and wasn’t the first time.

Once his fee is paid, does bare minimum and is unresponsive to emails and phone calls. It took me sending certified return receipt letters to him, the court, and the trustee to get some answers to questions. If I get answers 95% of the time they are incomplete and/or inaccurate. If I send an email, I have to follow up multiple times. More than a month can go by with sending follow ups, and still won't get an answer. Was patient when this happened during the pandemic considering everything going on but, that's not an issue now and, still very unresponsive. Phone calls get answered buy an assistant who says they'll forward the messages on to him because he's in court but, then a phone call is never returned 99.99% of the time. Documents needed by trustee on annual basis one year did not get submitted or addressed by him for a whole entire year after they were due. He got paid thousands of dollars and, does work that is truly worth a fraction of what he got paid. True feeling that after he gets his money, he doesn't care about the hardship created for his clients or letting them know what's going on.

I hired Esquire Paglia because I needed a knowledgeable legal advocate to handle the case against me by the New York Medical Board. Unfortunately Esq Paglia answered nearly all of my questions with some variant of 'I don't know', or 'let me ask opposing counsel and tell you what they think'. The only advocacy going on seemed to be her advocating the Medical Boards position with me. She might make an adequate paralegal, but I would strongly discourage anyone from hiring her to represent them in dealing with the medical board unless they just want an over priced message passer.
