If you want to give away your money and get nothing in return, go to Ms. Heather Wright. After a phone consultation, I was so happy to hire her because she initially seemed concerned about my well-being. However, lack of positive experience and negotiation skills. Her demeanor to lack the objectivity and professionalism needed in such delicate issues of family law. She came across as angry and loud. It wasn't even humane! What resulted were delays, complications and high legal bills. I would not use or recommend this attorney.

I had a couple of things happen in 2021 that caused me to get extremely behind on several bills. I had about 3 credit cards end up in charge-off status. Only one of those cards was ever sent to collections and I have since paid this before the collection ever hit my credit. 2 of the cards were through Capital One. 1 of the 2 were sent to collections. The unpaid one has been referred to an attorney and kept in house, although I received documentation that the attorney was dropping the lawsuit against me. My credit was hovering at around a 620 Equifax FICO and a 618 Experian FICO. I had so many lates from these three accounts. This forum gave me some hope regarding PINNACLE CREDIT SPECIALIST. PINNACLE CREDIT SPECIALIST came through for me and increased my scores to 801 Equifax, 806 TransUnion and 811 Experian and deleted all the negative items on my credit profile including charge offs and collection. If you need a hacker to fix your credit issues within 6 days, PINNACLE CREDIT SPECIALIST is good to go. They get the job done as quickly as possible. Email:

I had high hopes for Ms Heather Wright. She always had a lot of talk about her views and abilities. But … Heather Wright did a horrible job defending me. Unfortunately we went to trial and lost because her lack the knowledge and negotiation skills. There is so much more but the point of this is if you don’t want to be scammed then go somewhere else!

My husband and I hired this lawyer Mr. Danquah to represent us in immigration proceedings 2022. 1. We paid every dollar we agreed to. Have all receipts. We called to speak with Mr. Danquah but instead was forced to speak with this ill mannered staff woman.. Who was the most unprofessional, Rude mannered and disrespectful woman I have ever had to listen to accused my me of cursing her and not remembering her name.. my wife was on the phone heard our entire conversation and honestly my Never cursed or showed any disrespect. 2. We hired a lawyer Mr. Danqua not his wife or fiancée , obviously this woman (wife or fiancée) staff member calls all the shots.. Mr Danquah did not even have the decency to speak with us.. His staff woman spoke for him and would not allow him to even talk! We even offered to come to the office and settle this and was told by his staff woman do not.. Fortunately for us they have relinquished representing us and I am grateful! We wanted a lawyer to intelligently represent us not some one afraid to do justice in their own law firm!! Please if you are looking for a real responsible Lawyer please continue to look This lawyer May have the license but clearly whoever this woman staff person Ms. LS is running the law practice..Unprofessionally, disrespectful, rude!! My brother’s, Sisters, friends, mothers, fathers please. Do not deal with this man Mr. Danqua and his so called wife or fiancée for immigration issues because they will take your money and leave you in the middle of nowhere.

I was unimpressed with Dr.Kaplan’s medical knowledge. He seemed to get confused about the issues in my case and claimed to have reviewed well over 4 thousand pages of medical records in just 2 days. Obviously this is impossible. Especially for someone who could hardly hold a coherent conversation about my case over the phone.

Would not recommend and was so ill and traumatized by the medical errors in my case, found it difficult to feel supported by him with the lack of empathy and dismissiveness of him one week then the next time lack of focus as to what occurred and who he should file claims against. . He more or less downplayed and made me feel I should accept what was done, like I was doing something wrong in the medical errors that would made in my case. However, I did have recourse, that he just did not seem to want to pursue. I feel like perhaps there were uncomfortable situations with the Hospital and/or physician/s involved. After all he was a surgeon/ physician prior to becoming an attorney.... At this point I have this media to help others be aware, to hopefully help them, of my recommendation not to hire him.

Von Hennigs knows his stuff and is very eloquent. At first he was very responsive and communication was great. However, once he thought he had me as a client, communication dropped off significantly, appointments weren't kept and calls not returned at all, or at least not in a timely manner. I finally wrote him to politely ask what was the matter and why I never heard back from him anymore but he did not even respond to that. Luckily he loved to talk and since I am an attentive listener, I was able to successfully file all required paperwork myself, saving a lot of money that I would have otherwise paid to him had he not treated me so dismissively. So, all was good in the end since I essentially got all I needed by just listening to him resp. reading his very informative emails to me. Nonetheless I thought this was not the professional way to treat a client and therefore I cannot recommend him.

I contacted the Attorney Generals Office to register a complaint of Fraud. I did so on line. They told me it would be a fee of $5.00 for filing, so I used a credit card. But before I could be connected to an attorney they wanted me to agree to an automatic withdrawal of $60.00 a month until I cancelled. This is another form of extortion especially since the Attorney General is paid by tax payers. Do not consumers have any protection by our government without them trying to extort funds from taxpayers?

Bottom line is that he talks a good game; like he's all for helping you, then once you pay him, you will never see or hear from him again. I didn't find any negative reports on him when we hired him. He seems genuine and acts as though he really wants to help. I have called him repeatedly over these past 5 months, sent a certified letter and it's as though he's disappeared off the face of this earth. We haven't heard from him since we paid him $6500.

I hired this attorney to deal with my foreclose issue. Paid him $5,000 and never received a call or an email given us the status of what he had done or what was filed in court on our behalf. He constantly request delays in court, because he was not prepared for the case. He blames his wrong doings on his staff(most of them have left) and doesn't take responsibility for taking your monies and not handling your case as a capable attorney.

I was referred to Mr. Daniels for a contract issue. He resurrected a canned contract that largely missed the issues of my project. After 4500 dollars I had to disgard it at the advice of someone in the field, who provided case law to support why the contract he crafted was inappropriate. The matter of law was outside of Mr.Daniel's expertise. Rather than refer to me to a colleague, he was more than eager to collect his legal fees, and then refer me out. I would not reccomend his services . While his turnaround time was fine, the workproduct was not.

During our consultation, Attorney Wood provided me with lots of inaccurate information from her research about my issue during our consultation. She also tried to persuade me to pursue my issue a certain way that would require minimal effort on her end. In reality, her means to a resolution did not require an attorney’s involvement, but she wanted to go that route and charge me an outrageous amount of money. I would not recommend her.

I contacted this attorney several years ago and I really didn't understand all the legal procedures and as I asked questions to clarify, I was shocked at how cold and short he was towards me and my family. If I'm going to spend this money expecting to receive good counsel and I left there in tears with less hope than I initially had. He seems to have lost all passion for his work and should not offer to help when he can't commit. Horrible experience and he made me feel extremely unintelligent.

We had Mr Asman file our trademarks some years ago. Out of the clear blue, he calls us up to tell us there was an infringement and that we should file suit to protect our marks. He took a ten thousand dollar retainer to start the suit. We could not reach an agreement so decided to go to court. Mr Asman advised us we would have to cough up more money as we go along since he already used up the retainer. The defendant filed a response to the judge in the case and apparently, we were supposed to respond to that (found this out though a consult with another intellectual property attorney). The judge ruled against us and threw the case out of court and Mr Asman accepted the ruling but said we would have to cough up even more money if we wanted to contest the decision. He felt at this point, we had no case though. We did consult with our business attorney who put us in touch with an intellectual property attorney in her firm. The opinion was that there were balls dropped and that I would have to talk to a malpractice attorney who would also file against other attorneys. This was not an easy task. When we finally found one, we were told that we had to prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that had the errors not been made, we would have won the suit and that we would have to have a trademark attorney testify to that. Catch 22! Our reputable malpractice attorney advised us we would be throwing good money after bad. We decided to try to file an omissions and errors claim against Mr Asman's insurance company. I'll give you three guesses as to the response to our discovery letter. That's right! NO INSURANCE! To add insult to injury, after carefully reviewing Mr Asman's charges, he billed a few thousand over our agreed upon rate. When we questioned it, he said he had sent out an email a year earlier that he raised his rate. We have no record of the email nor could Mr Asman produce the email that was sent. Good luck going after an attorney in small claims court for money! it would be postponement after postponement if you did not spend significant money on an attorney to represent you. Valuable lesson learned. Next time you hire an attorney, get a declaration page from his insurance policy. By the way, we refused to pay the last few hundred dollars he billed us and when we refused because he owed us a lot more, he threatened to send us to collections. We never paid it and obviously, he never went after us.

Hired Emily to handle some detailed matters for me. It was almost as if she was representing the other side. Did not follow my instructions and totally missed the ball on my behalf. I suffered irreparable harm to this attorney who then had the nerve to taunt me in regards to finding other counsel. $10,000 down the drain, belongings I cannot replace, etc. Not a good way to start off a law career stabbing your client in the back..........

Hired Louis subsequent to my mother's death. Was handed a blank piece of paper as a Will. Louis read some Trust Documents I was given and told me no one in their right mind would sign this. He promised to take action in probate court and I paid him$7,500. He did nothing and told me he couldn't help me after taking my money. I would eventually uncover that the paperwork was forged. Nothing less than thievery.......

What a Business Lawyer Can Do for You

A business lawyer provides critical legal guidance and support to entrepreneurs, startups, and established businesses. Whether you are forming a new company, drafting contracts, or navigating complex regulations, a business attorney ensures you are legally protected and operating within the law. They can also help prevent legal disputes or represent you in negotiations, transactions, or lawsuits that arise during the course of business operations.

Business lawyers have expertise in areas such as business formation, contract law, intellectual property, employment law, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. They ensure that your business is compliant with relevant laws and help mitigate risks that could threaten your company's success.

When Should I Hire a Business Lawyer?

Hiring a business lawyer is essential at various stages of business development, including:

  • Forming a business: When deciding on the best structure for your company (LLC, corporation, partnership, etc.), a lawyer can guide you through the registration and compliance process.
  • Drafting contracts: If you need contracts for employees, partners, suppliers, or clients, a lawyer ensures these documents are legally sound and in your best interest.
  • Mergers, acquisitions, or dissolutions: If you are buying, selling, or dissolving a company, legal counsel is critical to avoid costly mistakes.
  • Compliance and regulatory issues: A lawyer can help navigate complex regulations, particularly in industries like healthcare, finance, or tech.
  • Resolving disputes: Whether it's contract disagreements, intellectual property infringement, or employment issues, a business lawyer helps mediate, negotiate, or litigate on your behalf.

What Does a Business Lawyer Do?

Business lawyers provide a wide range of services that cater to different legal needs of a business. They can:

  • Help you choose the best legal structure for your business.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with employees, suppliers, customers, or business partners.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Advise on tax strategies to minimize your business's tax burden.
  • Assist with intellectual property protection, such as trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
  • Handle mergers, acquisitions, and business sales, ensuring all legal paperwork is in order.
  • Resolve disputes through negotiation, arbitration, or litigation.

How Are Business Lawyers Paid?

Business lawyers typically charge either by the hour or on a flat-fee basis, depending on the complexity of the work. Common payment structures include:

  • Hourly rates: The lawyer charges based on the time spent working on your case. Rates vary depending on the lawyer's experience and location.
  • Flat fees: For certain tasks, such as incorporating a business or drafting a standard contract, a lawyer may offer a flat fee.
  • Retainer: Some businesses may hire a lawyer on retainer, paying a fixed amount each month to have ongoing access to legal services.

The payment structure is often discussed during an initial consultation so you can choose the one that best suits your business needs and budget.

How Much Does a Business Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a business lawyer depends on factors such as:

  • The complexity of the legal issue: More complex matters, like mergers or intellectual property disputes, typically cost more than routine tasks like contract drafting.
  • The lawyer's experience and location: More experienced lawyers or those in larger cities often charge higher fees.
  • The nature of the billing arrangement: Hourly rates can range from $150 to $1,000 or more, depending on the lawyer's expertise. Flat fees are usually available for simpler matters like forming an LLC or drafting a standard contract.

It's essential to discuss fee structures upfront to avoid surprises.

Top Questions to Ask a Business Lawyer

Before hiring a business lawyer, ask the following questions during your consultation:

  1. What is your experience with businesses like mine?
Find out if the lawyer has handled legal issues for companies in your industry.
  2. What services do you offer?
Ensure the lawyer can meet all your business's legal needs, from contract drafting to dispute resolution.
  3. What are your fees, and how do you bill?
Get clarity on how you'll be charged - whether by the hour, flat fee, or retainer.
  4. How do you handle conflicts of interest?
Ask how the lawyer ensures there is no conflict in representing your business.
  5. Can you provide references from other business clients?
Speaking with past clients will give you an idea of the lawyer's expertise and professionalism.
  6. Do you have experience in my specific industry?
Industry-specific knowledge can be crucial, especially in highly regulated fields like healthcare or finance.

How to Check the Credibility of a Business Lawyer

To ensure you're hiring a reputable business lawyer:

  • Check state bar association records: Verify that the lawyer is in good standing and has no disciplinary actions against them.
  • Look for client reviews or testimonials: Online reviews, testimonials, or word of mouth from other business owners can provide insight into the lawyer's reliability and effectiveness.
  • Ask for references: A credible lawyer should have satisfied clients who can vouch for their services.
  • Check professional memberships: Membership in respected legal organizations (such as the American Bar Association or a local business lawyer association) can signal credibility.
  • Review their website and professional profile: A well-established lawyer typically has a professional website showcasing their areas of expertise, credentials, and case success.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most out of your first consultation with a business lawyer, prepare the following:

  • A description of your business and its structure: This will help the lawyer understand your legal needs.
  • Any current contracts or agreements: If you're seeking contract advice, bring copies of existing contracts.
  • A list of legal issues or concerns: Be ready to discuss any potential legal challenges, such as regulatory compliance, disputes, or transactions.
  • Financial documents: If applicable, bring financial records related to the legal matter you're seeking help with.
  • Questions about fees and billing: Ensure you understand the lawyer’s payment structure and fees upfront.

By preparing these materials, you can ensure that your first meeting with a business lawyer is productive and informative.
