Words can't describe how happy I am that I used Mr. Perskin. I was in a pretty gnarly situation (to say the least) and from the moment we met, he showed immense confidence, listened to me, and fought super SUPER hard for me. It was a relief and gave me so much satisfaction to see how much he got my back (which i didn't have previously). His communication was A+ and in the end I was able to avoid a trial because of him. He kept me honest, managed my expectations, and also i really loved working with his son Jared, that dude is GOING PLACES! Stay away from this law firm. Their m.o. has not changed in years. Someone posted five years ago how Mr. Goldberg gave them the run around. He does the same to me and I am his client! He never returns my phone calls or my emails. I called the office recently and left a message for his partner and nothing. They don't value their clients. Go elsewhere. Had I known what I know now, I would have gone to a different law firm.

As for someone who is a victim of sexual assault. I came across this law firm hoping to be taken as a client but unfortunately this did not happen. Don’t get me wrong, the staff is very nice. However, they make it seem like you are talking to Norma for the 1 hour intake call on the website but really you are speaking to a Law Clerk named Roshelle who was also very nice. I did not appreciate the fact, they didn’t have the decency to call me to tell me the unfortunate news. I had to scroll through a bunch of emails to find an email from Norma. If you have to pay a $275 fee (only refundable if they don’t take you as a client) just for a person to get information about your legal situation when other lawyers do it for free is kind of crazy.

Ms. Arabnia was able to dismiss two charges and reduced my speeding ticket. She spoke with witnesses on my behalf and made several visits to different locations in order to get affidavits signed by the witnesses; went to the county courthouse several times to speak with the DA; and was proactive in ensuring that my name was cleared to charges that did not match the police report. Recently hired this lawyer Eugene Brayman in which he charged me upfront to fight a case in small claims court and he did not put out any effort to make sure I win the case. There was no interest there since he already got paid. Guys dont ever pay a lawyer all the money upfront before they try the case because they wont put out the effort to win.

I was referred to Steve Pipenger to review a possible case for me. I wrote Steve June 23 asking for a way to pay his fee. It took a week to receive the info. July 7 I wrote asking how long the review process took. I got no response until July 12 in which he said he would review and get back to me by end of week.
He did not get back to me. July 17 he wrote and said he would have a game plan by mid week the following week. July 22 in the evening I wrote for an update. I got no response. July 25 I wrote ending the review with Steve. He replies he would refund and told me he was reviewing the case and this takes time.
But, you promised a date you would deliver the game plan and no response needing an extension. On July 25 he then writes 10 hours later as if the earlier conversation never happened telling me he is reviewing the documents the best he can, but he cannot find the documents I sent??? And to please send them again. I initially sent them several weeks earlier, email tracking shows he opened the email. So basically, he told me he was reviewing the case without the documents to do so and just stringing me along. Why not communicate earlier and say you cannot find them than go through all this? Very disappointed. Communication is key in this type of attorney/client situation. I am fine with delays as long as it is communicated before hand.
23 days since I paid for the review and did not get anywhere with this attorney.
Edited to add this attorney promised me twice he would refund my fee. As of today I have not received the fee and status inquiry emails are ignored. j
Edited per the contract he was to review the arbitration files, documents, and interview me. He did not review the arbitration files per his own words he lost them, out of 7 initial emails of evidence he opened 3. He did not interview me either. In fact, it was a disability discrimination case. He did not ask me one thing about the disabilities or for diagnosed medical evidence. One of which was an affidavit.
Edited to select the option that I hired him as I did so for a review and paid a nonrefundable fee (but only if work done).

Mr. Sawaeer is an excellent attorney!
I hired him after my asylum case was rejected from USCIS and transferred to the immigration court. My previous lawyer -unfortunately- hadn't done a good job in building the case or asking me to provide what's needed to support my case. Mr. Sawaeer did exactly that and beyond! He built the case from scratch, asked me to provide more evidence, requested for some supporting documents and prepared me for the trial a couple of days before the individual hearing, so on that day I was feeling confident and mentally prepared for what's to come. The result? We won the case and I got the approval! I’ve sat on writing this review for a couple of months because I wanted to be honest. Divorce is an incredibly emotional experience, and it’s hard to know what to expect.
From the very start, I felt overwhelmed, and like many others, I was in the dark about the process. But looking back, I can honestly say that my experience with Ms. Barrett was ultimately a positive one.
First, I want to address communication. There were times I couldn’t get in touch with Ms. Barrett immediately, but I reminded myself that attorneys are often in court and handling other cases. Unless it’s the day before an important hearing, it’s part of the process to wait. I know it can be frustrating—especially when emotions are running high—but it’s the reality. If you hire an attorney who promises 24/7 availability, I’d be cautious. Additionally, if paralegals are answering every call, just know that will increase your costs—Again, let’s be honest, everyone’s number one complaint about lawyers is the bill.
My advice to anyone going through this is to find a good therapist before hiring a lawyer. Divorce involves many things you can’t control, and emotions can cloud judgment. I received a lot of emotional advice from family and friends during my divorce. While well-intentioned, it wasn’t always practical advice. Know what you need and stick to it.
Second, familiarize yourself with your legal rights, and use them. They were created for a reason.
My previous lawyer told me that if my ex was helping with the kids, we didn’t need to make anything official through the court. This is where experience matters. I agreed to waive my right because we relied on the "honor system," and my ex eventually stopped paying. Our divorce took over a year to settle, and I struggled financially during that time.
Ms. Barrett was my third attorney, and she came highly recommended by a friend. Initially, I was nervous because of some mixed reviews, but after seeing how other lawyers, including my ex’s, operated, I realized she was the right fit for me.
She’s tough but never made me feel like an idiot. When I was being low-balled, she stood firm and made sure I got a fair deal. She wasn’t afraid to speak up in court, which was a huge difference from my previous attorney, who froze when it was time to advocate for me. Experience matters, and Ms. Barrett knows how to navigate these situations.
One of the first things Ms. Barrett will tell you is that divorce is hard. She’s upfront about the challenges and lets you know she’ll contact you when she needs to. She also encourages clients to find a therapist to help manage emotions.
That first conversation with her is critical—it’s when you lay out all the facts, and she’ll ask direct questions to focus on what matters. I’m normally not the type to make a bad review but I want to warn anyone that might be thinking about using Strazzullo Law Firm. Sorry in advance for the lengthy story but I don’t want to leave any details out. I hired Sal Strazzulo (a high school friend of mine) for a nonsense domestic dispute where my ex made false accusations against me. The police have no choice but to act on any accusation made, so they made a few visits to my house while I was at work, saying they just wanted to talk to me. Meanwhile there were 4 police cars pulling up at my house all because I gave my 14 year old daughter a glass of champagne on New Years Eve. My girlfriend was home and was very scared. The only lawyer that came to mind was my high school friend Sal. He called the precinct and said they were going to arrest me but because of him this was no longer going to happen. Instead I would have to do a voluntary surrender of my guns, (I’m an avid hunter) Which is standard procedure in a domestic case for obvious reasons. At this point I thought everything was over and I would repay my old friend by taking him out to dinner or whatever payment he requested after his fifteen minute phone call. It would be worth it since I didn’t spend the night in jail. This is when things started to get weird, he passed me off to a Lawyer that must have passed the BAR ten minutes ago, his name was Jason Krimsky. He was demanding I give a $7,500 retainer because Sal there was still an active investigation against me. I was surprised to hear this and when I asked the details he had none, Sal was now unavailable to answer any of my questions. My girlfriend was panicked and insisted I pay the retainer. Agains my gut instinct I did exactly that. Every time I asked Jason what was going on with my case he just insisted that there was an open case against me and that he was doing everything he can to protect me. A little while later the ACS agent told me that the investigation was closed because there was no real crime and it was in a different state so it was out of NYPD jurisdiction. When I asked Jason about this he immediately switched gears and said well what about your guns, don’t you want them back? I can help with that. The police officer at the licensing division told me that I would get my guns back soon, they just wanted to make sure there were no more issues between myself and my ex. I told Jason this and he said we can get them back faster. When I asked how he gave me salesman type answers like the squeaky wheel gets the oil and we will put our best foot forward. Again against my gut instinct I agreed to use the rest of my retainer money for this. He said we can issue an article 78 which would mean going to Supreme Court and of coarse cost more money. The officer out of professional courtesy (since I’m a fireman) said Get rid of this lawyer he is making things worse he’s doing everything wrong and because of him you might never get your guns back. I mentioned the article 78 and she laughed. She said this is a nonsense allegation trust me you are getting your guns back. I knew I could trust her so I called Jason and said I want to pursue this matter on my own and no longer require his services. He said I was being lied to and not to trust the police but I insisted I was done. Last we spoke I had $3,500 remaining from my retainer. After days of texts asking for the balance of my retainer. Suddenly Sal wants to meet with me to discuss why this was a mistake. I insisted they return my money. I felt like I was dealing with gangsters and not lawyers. They ended up sending me an invoice with my remaining money and its was dwindled down to $1,500 Which is what I expected from this shady law firm. On the invoice was the article 78 which we never did, so I questioned it and said they would adjust it and Sal said I would be very happy with my refund. Weeks and months went by constantly texting and calling Sal for my money back and still nothing. This guy is a crook.

This guy is terrible and a liar. Quoted me one price, never contacted me and did nothing for me. Wanted me to get documents for his office and had his secretary call me to push me to do his job. He then told the realtor that I’m making his job difficult for him. He then wanted to charge me double because I told him I’m not getting documents for him that he’s supposed to get himself. I never spoke to him once and ended up switching lawyers. The 2 weeks I was gonna go with him he didn’t do one thing. Should get his law license taken away.
