Diana has been an excellent advocate for me in a difficult divorce. She has been more than fair in her costs and done a great job for me in spite of significant difficulties with both my ex wife and opposing counsel.
To contextualize the anonymous one star review from Jan 23, it was left by my ex as a result of her frustration that Ms. Weitzel rejected the original version of the divorce decree sent by opposing counsel. She has very good reasons for doing so, and the claim that she was “slow” was absurd; opposing counsel took 5 months to draft a decree that didn’t even match the MSA, and Diana had to redraft an entire new one from scratch—which she did at no further expense to me, in a matter of just a few weeks, in spite of the frustrating situation. If any Avvo employee sees this, please consider removing the Jan 23 review; it was not left by one of Ms. Weitzel’s clients and completely misrepresents her quality of service for her clients.

This brief commentary will include a synopsis of my business/professional dealings with Ms Paula L. Beasley of Scheef & Stone, LLP – a legal partnership located at 500 N. Akard, Suite 2700, Dallas, TX 75201. Paula’s legal expertise resides in the area of Texas Real Estate law.
I engaged Ms Paula Beasley for an approximate eight month period, from August 2011 to April 2012. I relied heavily on her real estate legal knowledge in my dealings with a major land developer. I was one of ten home owners that lived on an approximate seventy acre parcel of land in south central Collin County who was approached by a developer with an interest to purchase our property. After extended negotiations, I came to terms with the buyers.
Ms Beasley provided the essential knowledge I needed to conduct business with and act as an intermediary on my behalf. In my case, the selling of my home of twenty (plus) years to a major commercial land developer was very much a “David & Goliath” scenario. And Paula helped level the playing field – and in fact, put me on par with their legal team. Paula struck the correct balance of forcefulness and professionalism in our dealings with the developer and their attorney. She remained adequately engaged throughout the eight month long process without undue or excessive legal charges to me. This insured my interests were carefully guarded by her at very reasonable expense. No one likes to be taken advantage of and simply put, Paula kept this from happening. There was a successful conclusion to my dealings with the developer and closing took place mid-April 2012.
I would not hesitate to recommend Paula L. Beasley for any real estate transactions you may be faced with, whether buying or selling. My case was perhaps more complicated than most residential transactions but having Paula on my side was an asset that paid significant dividends in the end. Paula represented an investment in my own protection and as her firm’s email address alludes to, she very much provided “solid counsel” to me during this process.

My teenage son was in an auto accident in 2016. The other driver collided into our vehicle after crossing two lanes and pushed our suv on the curb. There was so much damage to the vehicles, the other driver couldn't get out of her car. The insurance company (Travelers Ins) would only pay 15% of total bills. Even though we had medical evidence, they felt like he wasn't injured and that it was "just a scrape". After dealing with Travelers insurance for over a year, we contacted Josh Upthegrove, MBA, Sr Paralegal of McCallum Law Firm. After a telephone conversation, he accepted our case. The demand letter to Travelers Ins was amazingly thorough, covering all applicable legal applications and consequences, quoting case law, etc. Because of Josh and the McCallum Law Firm, our case settled for about 95% more than what Travelers said was the absolute FINAL offer. My wife and I hired Ron and his team after we were run over by a car during the Christmas holidays. From day one, Ron has been responsive to answering all of our questions and needs during our case. I had a very rocky journey after my automobile accidents where I fired 4 attorneys before hiring Luke because the previous ones treated me like a number on their worksheet. Some of them did the wrong work and some of them just did not bother to work on my case at all. I also asked a friend to give me a personal injury referral before Luke and little did I know I was mocked as "a troubled client" for hiring 4 attornies without bothering to understand my circumstance. When I found Luke, he was courteous, sympathetic & professional. He listened to my story and knew exactly how to help me with my situation. Mr. Jeffrey Sprigg is a God-sent attorney for us !! I am a LANDLORD. My wife and I are eternally grateful to Mr. Sprigg for his guidance, and the manner he represented us in a trial in the County Court.
Our tenant was harassing us for a long time, and he sued us with his bogus claim, for no fault of ours. We were so worried that we would lose to this person, and he would find loopholes to delay vacating our house, but Mr. Sprigg came as our savior.

Grant Stock represented my father and I in a civil action filed against us in Dallas. Grant was the consummate professional throughout the entire process. He was astute to the procedural requirements and kept us on track to file all documents and responses in a timely manner. More importantly he was very knowledgeable on the law and in offering sound legal guidance and advice. Grant has an easy manner in interacting with people, but don't let that fool you. He understands how to use this to his client's advantage and can get deliberate when necessary. I was quite impressed by his insight regarding the peripheral issues related to the case. He understands how to navigate the various options in representing his clients in a case. Things such as should you take advantage of mediation and how to utilize that option. And knowing the political temperament of the jurisdiction which his clients cases are filed in. Grant took a lot of the stress out of having to defend against a lawsuit and for that I’m most appreciative.

I found Mr. Stock here on Avvo not knowing if I had any sort of case or not. I just wanted an honest interpretation of the facts surrounding my circumstances. Even though I had yet to hire him, he was very professional and courteous. He spoke with me and gave what I fully believe to be his honest interpretation of my issue regarding potential employment discrimination.
He explained everything in great detail, from how he interprets the facts, how he feels others may interpret them as well as the pros and cons of deciding to move forward if I chose to file a claim.
I never felt uncomfortable, judged nor did I ever detect any hint of condescension as if he were "doing me a favor".
When I had questions about the case, paperwork, how things would happen, he always found the time to answer in the best detail he could anything I had to ask until I was felt fully informed and satisfied. I could tell he was interested in helping me, not just chasing a paycheck.
Throughout the entire case he was very straightforward and objective. Nor did he set any extravagant expectations for the outcome. He did exactly what I hired him to do, and I would certainly recommend him to anyone that finds themselves in the circumstances I was in.

After a death, the last thing you want to do is worry about someone liquidating your fathers assets. This is what my sisters and I had to face a week after burying our dad. Due to him not having a will things where really complicated and his wife tried to take advantage of the situation. A family friend referred us to Bill and he has been a breath of fresh air throughout this entire process. Her attorney has been procrastinating the entire time and Bill has been on him like white on rice! Bill is very much to the point- no BS so if you want to be coddled then this one isn't for you. But, if you want the facts and someone that is going to give it to you straight while fighting for what's right then Bill is your guy. I highly recommend his team to anyone going through probate or a family settlement agreement. He's expensive but well worth the money I promise!
