A five star rating and more for Fred Schwartz, is more than deserved. He handled my case in a calm, confident manner which included a compassionate concern for my well being. Fred investigated the accident in minute detail, gathered evidence and handled my claim negotiations. While it was a difficult path to physically move through this injury; I was surprised to experience an emotion healing when I received significant compensation for my pain and suffering. She also did not inform me of many important things like not talking to the insurance claims adjuster who was representing the person that hit me. She did the minimal amount of work for me and did not seem to care at all for my well being. I wish I would have taken the advice of friends in the la area to seek out new representation. If you want a lawyer who is thorough and passionate about your needs do not go to Ms Gorin. Being very unreachable and only being able to communicate to her through her paralegal Karina was very unsettling as well.

He literally said I was guilty of what the company was claiming. He also gave me $500 out of his own pocket to settle, then retracted it after I agreed. He did send it once the company cut the check but it was very unethical. I’ve literally had to fight against the company and my own attorney to get a proper settlement. And now, after repeated requests for my case file to be sent to me as is my right and being told I would have it by this Friday, again nothing. I even fired them and they refused to be fired. I DO NOT recommend this attorney and his firm.

I am a CPA and have worked with quite a few of my clients' trust attorneys so I have a basis of comparison. I had Mr. Stern do my wife and my Will and Living Trust and also my Mother's Will and Living Trust. There were some possible issues with some potential beneficiaries who would not be pleased with our bequests and Ellis made some very intelligent and caring suggestions as to how these potential problems could be solved with the least possibility of any litigation in the future. Certainly not looking to generate extra fees.
His fees were well within the going rates in Encino and actually, I was surprised at how reasonable they were for the services performed. At all times, Mr. Stern acted ethically and this is quite important to me being a CPA. For disclosure, other then Mr. Stern doing my personal work, I have never had any business relationship with him for myself or my clients.
I obviously only can speak to my own experiences with Mr. Stern in relationship to the experiences. I think I have a good background as a CPA to judge an attorneys work, ethics and professionalism and it is difficult for me to believe that this is the same person I have dealtt with over the years.

He literally said I was guilty of what the company was claiming. He also gave me $500 out of his own pocket to settle, then retracted it after I agreed. He did send it once the company cut the check but it was very unethical. I’ve literally had to fight against the company and my own attorney to get a proper settlement. And now, after repeated requests for my case file to be sent to me as is my right and being told I would have it by this Friday, again nothing. I even fired them and they refused to be fired. I DO NOT recommend this attorney and his firm.

I hired Mr. Gersh and his entire firm for a multi-million dollar business dispute with exigencies that required immediate and expert action. I was promised both. I received neither.
Four weeks later having received almost NO action, still not being in Court, seeing what I felt was terrible work product, having virtually no questions asked by any of them about the facts nor answers to almost any of my questions, I fired Gersh. For work that was worth between $0.00 and negative $0.00 in my opinion, and that even an average first year lawyer I believe could have done far better, Mr. Gersh has billed me for about $60,000, keeping my $40,000 deposit, and claiming that I owe him $20,000. He seems to delegate by far most of his work to lawyers that seem to have almost no business in a case of my magnitude, and personally, I think he was not honest, competent, or a good attorney. I do not know about anyone else who has come into contact with him but the way I see it, he and his firm ripped me off!

Jonathon Gabriel Is not what he professed to be! He promised me everything and delivered on nothing! All I heard were excuses from him and his assistant David! For instance "Jonathan can't take your calls because he's got dental problems and I was at the dentist last week!! "David who along with Jonathon have a condescending attitude, they both talk over you and quite frankly don't want to hear what you have to say when questioned!! They failed to get the information needed for the Bond and I had to get the information and Supply them with it at which point they still failed to act on it for another 4 months Never Keeping Me apprised of what was going on or how much money they were spending. After 9 months and exhausting the money that I had given them they have the audacity to ask for more money! Guess what my response was your fired!! I hired a new attorney who did more in one month than he, Jonathon did in nine and a half months my recommendation is don't hire him he's a blow heart!! Im filing a complaint with the board!
