I called the response was fast within 24 hours.I finished the a questionnaire ok I finished that after, I spoke with Mr.MacAuthor what can I say.this all happened Tuesday and it is now Friday,I explain my concerns my questions wasn’t really answered with out me having more questions.The conversation was uncomfortable and I went with another law firm that was able to answer questions in away I didn’t have more I didn’t feel valued as a customer at the end of the day, if you don’t feel convertible go somewhere else.No one ever got back to me.And it was just simple chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Our daughter was involved in a tragic accident at a major amusement park. We felt that those injuries and lack of care were the result of negligence and/or incompetence. We conferred with friends who were experts in the legal field and recommended the law firm of Lagomarsino and Associates. It was the best decision we could make as a family.
From our original consultation to trial, Andre Lagomarsino, was hands on with preparation, direction, and organizing the case. He was extremely efficient! His professionalism was mirrored by a host of associates, para legals and administrative staff. We were invited into the comfort of a legal family.
Our daughter suffered long term injuries including seizures and short-term memory loss. The Lagomarsino team invested years of investigation and research on our daughter’s behalf. The legal team made sure she received excellent medical intervention, ethical treatment and wrap around services for her care plan. Throughout it all, we were apprised of the progress and the requisite expectations.

I hired Jennifer Isso to help me with my divorce. Worse decision I made!!! She came across as empathic, knowledgeable, understanding & caring. I thought I could trust her. This couldn't be further from the truth!
My health is really bad & I've never been divorced, so I needed her help & guidance through this process. I continued to pay her whatever she asked for, since she was considered an unbundled lawyer. Turns out she's one of the most unprofessional people I've ever met!!! Treat people how you want to be treated!! Period!! I paid her a total of $5100 which included a TPO.
I had been approving the Disclosure documentation on Oct. 29th with her for my second court date on Nov. 19th (today). Without any communication at all with me, she files in court on Monday (Oct. 30th) morning that she had dropped me as her lawyer!!! Who does that??!! Unbelievable!! This is how you treat a client??!! Really??!! How unprofessional is that!! Tuesday morning, she emails my husband informing him that she's dropped me!! This is when I found out what had happened. I was shocked & speechless!!! My first thought was this has to be a mistake. Right? No professional behaves in this manner!!
She had time to notify my husband & not me the client??!! Unacceptable on so many levels!!! Proper business practices is you let your CLIENT know. All she needed to do was to tell me she needed additional money to represent me in court. It's that simple!! It's called communication!! No one's a mind reader!!! I was paying for professional representation, so I assumed.
This morning was my court date with the judge. I paid Jennifer Isso $1000 for the Disclosures that I assumed was being submitted to the judge (she never told me otherwise & wasn't communicating with me). She only sent my husband a copy that was it!! The court received nothing. What goes around, comes around!!! I truly had trusted her & she proved to me that I should've never hired her!

I received a cease and desist letter from Jesse Sbaih and Associates claiming I defamed his client. I concluded from the letter that either Sbaih has no idea what defamation is, or he hoped I would fold my constitutional right to free speech to legal bullying. I found the letter to be legally insufficient and this law firm to be an amateur operation.
The ridiculous letter saying I would be sued for over $500,000 if I did not remove an online statement misquoted me, making it nonsensical. I cannot fathom how my comment would rise to defamation had Sbaih bothered to copy and paste it accurately.
The scheme backfired spectacularly for Sbaih and his client. After receiving the threatening letter, I immediately published it on social media, where it gained over 20,000 views and was widely mocked. Several observers noted that Sbaih failed so badly here that he did not even appear to know the difference between libel and slander. It started an educational online free speech discussion.
A few minutes of research would have revealed that I am a free speech advocate and defamation law expert. I testified to the Nevada Assembly Judiciary Committee on the topic. I participated in the 2015 anti-SLAPP (Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation) law amendment discussion when Nevada needed to change clear and convincing to the prima facie evidentiary standard due to a ruling by the Washington Supreme Court on a similar law in that state.
Speaking of anti-SLAPP laws, this case would be disastrous for Sbaih and his client if it moved forward. I feel it would be one of the most frivolous defamation lawsuits in Nevada history and would be punished accordingly under the state's anti-SLAPP law.
All Nevadans are immune from frivolous speech-related lawsuits under NRS 41.650. When a court finds a speech-related lawsuit meritless, it is immediately struck. Under this ruling, the plaintiff must pay all the defendant’s legal fees. A judge may impose additional damages of up to $10,000 under NRS 41.670. A separate action may be brought by the defendant of the SLAPP suit for compensatory damages, punitive damages, attorney’s fees, and the costs of bringing the separate action.
I feel an ethical lawyer would have refused to sign their name to a letter like this and instead would have encouraged the client to have a civil discussion with the other side to resolve it. I think unethical lawyers see this type of frivolous letter writing as an opportunity for a billable hour at the expense of the First Amendment.
Keep all this in mind if you are thinking about retaining Sbaih. If he blew this situation so badly, what will he do with yours?

I have used Mike for 2 things since I have been in Vegas and hes not just a great attorney but also a very nice guy. 1 was a simple traffic ticket which he charged me almost nothing to handle but I was treated so well by his staff you would have thought I was a $1000 an hour client and the end result was very pleasing. A+ to Mike and staff!! The second item was something landlord tenant related and his consultation was so incredibly useful and really let me know how I should proceed and what might happen along the way. I would recommend him to anyone who needs an experienced lawyer that knows his way around NV law.

I retained Mike Beede for two separate traffic citation incidents and am thrilled with the results of both encounters. My speeding ticket turned into a parking violation with no points and a failure to register my vehicle in the state citation of $1100 was completely dismissed. They do great work considering the insanely low flat fees to handle these cases.

After 4 years of litigation, $400K legal fees paid to Mr. Ken R. Ashworth firm, our breach contrast case was thrown out of court after Ashworth legal team presented our side of the case; the defendant did not even take the stand. The case was tried in Nevada Federal court in April 2014, transcript available in the docket search. Judge Mahen states in the trial that the mistake made here is something a first-year law school student should know - not to make. Not only we paid $400K to Mr. Ashworth Law firm, holding a breached contract, then became on the hook with defendants' $300K attorney fees, Mr. Ashworth had to hire another law firm to help us; Yes, we paid for that too. We later filed a separate complaint to Nevada Bar. The retainer agreement forced us to enter arbitration for malpractice, can you guess the outcome?

I did not have a very good experience with this company. My mom passed away almost a year ago and some of her assists needed to go through probate. We came here for assistance. Every thing was going fine until 3 days before the court date I got an email and call from Joanne who stated she needed more information for the courts. At this time I was in Columbia about to board a plane home and did not have access to anything, also confused as we had spoken to the lawyer 4 months prior to the court date and they just now had realized they needed more information. I am assuming that because of not having the needed information the court date was bumped back from April to June. I then called Joanne asking how to obtain my moms money knowing that they had a check from Macys which my aunt had brought to them. Instead of answering my question Joanne sent me a list of my mom’s assets. When my aunt went over to talk with Joanne she proceeds to tell my aunt that they do not owe us any money. 2 months later after my aunt had gone over multiple time and them telling me that they have sent the check, my aunt was able to get the check. Me, my brother, and step dad do not live in Nevada and felt that this company took advantage of that. Joanne was very rude to me at times when I called her for information. I do not recommend this company or just stay clear of Joanne.

The review below is from my partner. I was the handyman Laura Payne hired to do demo/construction on her home. It was an initial 3 day bid, which due to scope creep, turned into much more work, turning the full scope into 4-5 days work (all discussed and approved, though roughly understood on her part). On the beginning of the 3rd day, I arrived at her multimillion dollar estate in a gated community to find I had tools stolen out of her house by an electrician who came in without me there. Her response was to have her son and a strange man come into the closet while I was working, accuse me of lying about my tools and terminate her and my contract. It escalated verbally but I agreed to leave if I was paid for my time and supplies and got my tools. They then physically choked me on her front porch in broad daylight. The cops were called. And stories were gathered. Her, her son (who physically partook in and watched the battery), and the assailant Alfredo denied choking me or him even touching me at all.
Her house is heavily video monitored, so I told the cops to pull the footage. He said he only could if they offered. Which they fully “cooperated” with the cop. The Paynes showed the cop altered footage that included unaltered clips of me bringing thousands of dollars of tools out of the house, the verbal altercations with Alfredo and son, but conveniently was missing the first minute of the clip where Alfredo choked me on her porch and attempted to shove me down 2 flights of stairs.
Laura and her family/friends impeded and obstructed an investigation for battery on her personal property. I have zero legal recourse to have that crime investigated accurately now. They also put me in physical danger im a position where my egress, ability to defend myself or have an objective 3rd party were limited, if not completely unavailable.
The optics/hindsight on this is scary.
I have contacted the Nevada State Bar Association, her community HOA and intend on contacting the news. Laura paid me for supplies and the first 2 days but did not pay me for any of my time on the last day. She has since retroactively offered, but I told her I do not want her money. This is more than about money. This is about her ethics as a person and lawyer.
As someone who has had the unfortunate, traumatic experience of working with her, I can positively say that she lacks ethical integrity completely.
I did not deserve to be physically assaulted. There is no excuse for that.
Attached are pictures of the project and scratches on my neck and shoulders from Alfredo choking me (2 days post incident).
Though I was verbally defending myself, I did not physically touch anyone.
Personal context: I’m currently a handyman/ punch carpenter. But drywaller/painter by trade. 10 years experience in my field. I have 2 college degrees; graduated from Western Michigan University in 2017 with a double major in English and journalism, minor ad promo. I spent the first 10 years of my professional life working for non profits and juvenile detention centers; helping marginalized populations learn to express themselves in nonviolent, creative ways. I finished my stint in CMH/social services in 2019 as a house manager for 1 of 3 homeless shelters in SW Michigan.
That said, I have given back and given to the good in this world. I’ve been a community leader.
This is unacceptable.

This “lawyer” hired my husband for a multi day demolition and construction project, which half way through after changing the scope of the job repeatedly, sent in her son and another man to threaten him to leave without payment. These actions were unprompted. Then her male friend proceeds to C H O K E him as he’s leaving her doorsteps which she asked him to do. there are scratches on his neck from this, police took pictures. These actions were on her ring camera footage, but this lawyer conveniently deleted the exact segment of the footage where her friend was assaulting him by the time the cops arrived. Wealthy Personal injury lawyer causing injury to poor working class folks. The man I love life was in danger because she was unhappy with a job she doesnt know how to do herself that she keeps requesting changes on.. I’ve never been so appalled by a person before, and I do not think she has a soul.

We came from California and had to update our trust. They asked us what should be on it and we told them what it should have. We are so glad they went over it and it was totally wrong. They corrected it and updated it for us. We are very thankful. Also my friend loss her husband and I went with her to find out what she had to do and they advised her that she had to do very little because her trust had it all done for her. We contacted 6 Las Vegas area attorneys before getting a referral to Sagebrush. All others stated that they had no idea how to handle the case, but asked for a hefty retainer nonetheless.
Christopher Carson, with his expertise in construction law, was the only person who asked to see the damage to the house in person. Chris and Trent have been open and forthcoming from their fee structure to proofreading I generated.
We have gone as far as we could on our own, and now will contact Sagebrush for representation taking the matter in Federal court.

Please take caution! I hired Trent as a court room lawyer! My amazing attorney was moving and I ended up with NIGHTMARE TRENT! He lied from the beginning and didn't even copy a paper of mine!! This evil man did everything I didn't ask and included 2 cases in a one and only chance to settle. He gave himself more than 1/3 after a blackmail deal after excluding me from my own mediation. Evil Trent told me he doesn't get paid to keep my job and doesn't get paid to get me benefits, "I can pay them out of my own pocket"! I hired a lawyer for peace of mind! I was in the fetal position for over a week! I refused the deal because its not what I wanted! HE QUIT! I never spent more than 3 hours talking to him that included a rushed here's the paperwork. I had zero representation and was not brought back to work and Trent didn't pick up the phone! Trent made me want to die!! I was left at home with a lawyer who ruined my only mediation and my job if 24 years. He did though attach a suit that if I received anything he was entitled to it! Trent QUIT WITH NO IF!!! HE JUST QUIT !!Trent threatened my previous attorneywho was leaving town, who tried to help me fix the damage! He threatened him with legal actions! I was aloud only the original paperwork that he didn't even write up , the other party wrote it!! His name was on it. He only represented me in 2 cases but blacked mailed his way into 4 cases settled. Two he only represented me in. I was forced to take him to the STATE BAR which was aware of what he was doing. I had to sign because I was alone with no job! He was forced to meet with me and this evil scammer would not give a CENT BACK FROM HIS SCAM. He was hired strictly for court. I got the mediation because this needed to be settle because my case was a preventable awful situation. I would to God I would have represented myself...He wouldn't give one cent back!! SAGEBRUSH HAS NO MORAL VALUES!! Please don't hire them in anyway!!! Trent was beyond a COLD NIGHTMARE.... !!!! Attention Real Estate Investors:
I felt obligated to write this review for any fellow Nevadan investor considering the firm. Now I can’t speak for the entire firm. I worked specifically with Taylor Simpson. He was referred by a very talented and trusted associate in real estate, so I didn’t bother reading any reviews prior to visiting the office.
In any event, I gave 2 stars because he’s appears to be a nice and competent lawyer. I have to assume his morals, workload or maybe laziness prevented him from doing his job in my case.
During our initial consultation he listened patiently and although it took an hour long dialogue to get on the same page, I left confident that he completely understood my request. He charged a flat fee, which I thought included 3 documents. I found it reasonable, given the time we spent discussing the documents I needed updated. I took a photo of what was discussed and the documents to be delivered. It wasn’t that I didn’t trust him, I just don’t have the best memory and wanted to make sure I recalled what was discussed. I paid upfront…a mistake on my part….keep reading..
I was told it was 3 hours worth of work and I could expect the updated contracts and addendum in a week. 3 weeks passed and I had a property under contract that would use this specific deal structure, so I gave the office a call for an update. I called the front desk clerk 3 times that week and she was always polite and tried to get Mr. Simpson on the phone. She also explained he was out with COVID. Not to be callous, but I don’t see how that stops a young, healthy lad like him from reviewing a contract. I didn’t say this, but it was what I was thinking. In any event, another week and a half passed.
Note: If you’re tracking this was about 5 weeks after I sat down with him for 2 documents to be updated and one created. All of which was supposed to take 3 hours, as stated by Mr. Taylor.
Back to the story….now I finally got the paperwork back and nothing in the document really changed. It was effectively reformatted and a bunch of clauses added to protect the other party. He claimed that a few were intended to protect my interest, but were already included in the original document with different verbiage. When questioned on all the paragraphs added to protect the other party….crickets….literally no response…..
I asked whether a clause could be added and is enforceable in Nevada, since he apparently was too busy to respond….again…crickets….
I called the front desk….she was very polite as usual…told me he had just left for lunch and would get back to me……again…you guessed it crickets…..
So I paid Mr. Simpson above $999 to review documents and got a document that only protected the other party with no further explanation….I wont give the exact amount because I’m sure they’re rates will change with inflation running so hot….
My point is….Mr. Simpson…although seemingly intelligent and polite….either allows his morals to get in the way of doing his job….is unable to be fully transparent with his clients….is unable to have an honest dialogue….is uncomfortable with challenges via email…or just takes your money and chooses not to deliver…if you’re not a big ticket case…either way its not good for the typical real estate investor….Had I been a guy discussing a 100+ units, he may have handled it differently…money always talks in this town…but who knows…..
Maybe be cautious and work with the firm when you have a very expensive case….and never pay the entire amount upfront…ask me how I know….Happy Investing.

Disappointed in the way Mr Thomson handled my boyfriend's case. If you take on a case and your client has OVER WHELMING evidence of wrong doing, along with a clear picture of what your client asks for, that means you believe in the case. You take it and fight for your client. Mr. Thomson asked for money with NO breakdown of costs or a bill. When confronted about his billing practices, he avoided the question. He said you can do things along the way to save on costs and made a promise to only take a certain amount of money from the PRESURED settlement, which he was told he could talk at and in the end told to be quiet and not allowed to speak. A promise and a hand shake to only take a certain amount of money should mean something. In the end he lied! Not right, do the right thing and and give him the money you owe him..

Attorney McHenry is a travesty of unprofessionalism with limited litigation time posing as a seasoned litigator in actuality Jack of all master of none.
A mar on her law firm. It’s laughable that she actually considers herself as a potential “Super Lawyer”.
Light years away from being a super lawyer, Recently in several different litigious litigation’s that she is involved in some instances on some cases she was not even apprised of the correct case laws and statues to cite and or file under in her pleadings, and she makes arguments that are all based off non credible plaintiffs with history of filing multiple falsities this misconduct is to fit her fictitious, outrageous motions!
Attorney McHenry will be known for inaccuracies and inappropriate false pleadings. Utter Misrepresentations of facts, multiple slanderous pleadings being filed, along with totally false, inaccurate statements, that are truly at best speculation, again a complete waste of time, and as a result these futile efforts are being payed by her clients that retain Attorney McHenry that end up spending thousands if not ten’s of thousands of dollars through her firm, that Attorney Megan McHenry is associated with.
She will appear to make a case just to generate paperwork. How else can she justify her outrageous fees?
Her firm should be monitoring her more, but the Nevada Bar will be notified and hopefully The Nevada Bar may take interest in monitoring this type of misconduct moving forward in any event The Nevada Bar will be notified of the name of the firm she is currently working under, regarding her continued acts of attorney misconduct.
Megan’s inappropriate acts of misconduct are erroneous, fictitious pleadings based on falsities as she litigates behind her computer as well in open court litigation.
Her retainers and fees are and billing are salacious in nature, and should be monitored by her firm, and it’s partners and truly her actions will be concerning to the firm, once they are notified of her misconduct, the name of her firm she works under will certainly be reported to BBB and The Nevada BAR Association and other public blogs and not limited to Consumer Action Bureaus within the State Of Nevada for reporting attorneys of misconduct in the state of Nevada.
Don’t believe the self imposed hype of alleged “super lawyer” Megan McHenry for this sub par Attorney McHenry.
Clearly she does not practice law in an ethical manner and you will pay top dollar for that.

I have mailed Mr. Welsh two letters, e-mailed him twice, and left two messages at his office to call me back. He has not responded back even once in the past 2 months or so...
