I met with Ms Banda as an initial consult. She was warm and friendly. She took lots of notes, and said she would love to take my case because it was very strong. She had to consult with the senior partner to see if they could take the case on contingency. I never heard from her again. I called and called but she had always "just stepped out". Finally I just arranged to stop at the office and pick up the case documents I had given her, I finally did receive a letter offering to take the case for (a rather large) retainer and $200. to $300. per hour. Oh well, so much for justice for "the little guy" .

Contacted Bowen Law firm a few weeks ago and Sarah was interested in our case and told us she will contact us in the next few days. Now after 5 weeks and numerous phone calls and emails to get an answer we are still waiting. Time to find a new lawyer. This one is obviously either to busy or has no interest in your case even though she pretends otherwise.

I had the misfortune of hiring Michael Cary Van for my legal needs, and it was a disaster from start to finish. Communication was virtually nonexistent; I felt like I was talking to a wall every time I tried to reach him. My calls and emails often went unanswered for days, and when he did respond, it was dismissive at best.
His knowledge of the law seemed questionable, as he often provided me with incorrect information that led to costly mistakes in my case. It felt like I was more of a burden to him than a client. The lack of attention to detail was astounding—important deadlines were missed, and it felt like my case was a low priority for him.
In the courtroom, his performance was equally disappointing. He appeared unprepared and seemed to lack basic understanding of the arguments we were supposed to present. I left feeling embarrassed and frustrated.
Overall, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for legal representation. Save yourself the headache and find someone who actually cares about their clients. Michael Cary Van was an expensive mistake I wish I could take back.

In 2 cases this atty represented me on he withdrew just weeks before trial. I was a new single mother at the time and the victim of multiple accidents causing me to have have surgeries. Looking back at the record, it's apparent Cap had no trial experience and bluffed his way through the legal motions until a trial was ordered, then withdrew, without notice, leaving me hanging with medical bills and no legal recourse. I'm just VERY sorry I never filed a complaint with the State Bar.

David Sanders was terrible! He bills too much and does too little for what he bills. He is a mooch of an attorney. He is more concerned about billing his clients than he is about providing them results. If you are looking for an attorney who will keep a litigation going forever this is the attorney for you!

I contacted James Kohl in late January for a 144 legal opinion, as he was the new attorney for the public company. After supplying all of the supporting documents, I continued to follow up on progress and received roughly 1 email per week that he was busy, out of the office or working on it. On March 5th, I had to cancel the request due to no replies.
I have had roughly 30 144 legal opinions done in the last 5 years through the previous corporate counsel and never waited over 48 hours to receive them.
I feel this behavior is completely incompetent and has caused over $25,000 in losses due to his untimely conduct.
Great news is I found out anyone can write a legal opinion and does not have to be from corporate counsel, so I contacted a reputable attorney and received the legal opinion within 24 hours after providing all of the documentation that I had sent James Kohl.

To our understanding attorneys are hired to protect you and your business?
Well they protected us all right (WITH A HUGE BILL). After a year with no results we had to hire another lawyer due to lack of communication, attorneys leaving this law firm.

Asked and got more money and then notified us through mail that he was dropping us as clients. What a weasel. I would not recommend him. Looked into my widowed mothers eyes, took our money and less than a week later we were notified by mail. Failed to show up for court also. Terrible representation in a civil case.

Stephanie is not a good lawyer at all. She appears to have very little experience and is not willing to go the distance, or shall I say she will go the distance to charge funds but does not fight for you within the court room. She is very unprepared and should not practice Family Law. My friends children were placed in a custody position to this day that has been very destructive to their lives. She did not defend her client and her children to the best of her best ability and to this day the children are suffering in the hands of an abusive parent. She got steamed rolled in court by the other side and never brought forward proof of the emotional, educational, and medical abuse that was being done by the other parent. Miss Herdman should go back to school or take on some other area of legal practice. Custody cases should never be in her hands. Then at then end of the case she made out of line comments to her client that make it appear she was in favor of the plaintiff all along. I would not be surprised if she helped the other side intentionally. Do not hire her. These children are doing worse in school with their grades, they fall asleep in class due to no sleep, one ended up with pneumonia due to lack of medical attention and the list goes on and on. He sends them to school with fevers over 104. The plaintiff had more custody because of her and they are suffering badly now

When I hired Mr. Beller, we were told that with his many years in the community and his reputation he would fight for me. My case is still going on to this day, when in reality it never should have happened. My ex. wife Breached the Contract of Divorce, and has hired numerous attorneys with no intentions of paying them. The ex. is currently in BK. and Mr. Beller told me before our last District court hearing, "You need to find other council, as we cannot agree on how to proceed in your case". He dropped the ball and I have had to hire two new attorneys, to clean up, what Mr. Beller did not do, to represent me, as his client. Mr. Beller went to court at one time for me, and never spoke up, when the Judge specifically asked him about a piece of Evidence. Mr Bellers answer was, "I didn't want to make the opposing council look bad, after all, he had just lied to the judge". Mr Beller was not a good family Law attorney for me, and I was not looking for a real estate attorney... at the time. My legal case involved Pension and if I had to do it over again, I would hire an attorney who has had many years of family law and pension disbursement, experience.
