In July 2024 I found myself in need of personal legal advice. I contacted James at Big Sky Justice for professional advice.
Amazingly, James met with me the same day I contacted his office and spent over an hour advising me regarding my issue.
Upon completing our meeting I asked what I owed for his service. James told me he does not charge for an initial consultation and I did not owe him for the time he spent advising me. Amazing!
Not feeling it was fair to not pay James for his service, I sent him a letter and check for what I thought was his hourly rate.
The check I sent never cleared my bank account , so today I called James' office and found out that James had voided the check that I sent his firm
I can't speak more highly of James and the service he provided me. My experience truely is in sharp contrast to the horror stories people tell regarding their lawyer experiences.
I want to express my thanks to James and highly recommend Big Sky Justice should you find yourself in need of legal services.

Matt was nice to work with. He is very professional, and explained things in non-legal jargon terms way. I did have to wait sometimes for his replies to my questions, but I know he has a life outside of work and has other clients, so I didn't want to hound him over and over (I was worried/stressed over things, that I assumed were worse than they really were). Matt put me at ease with his replies. I had maybe $80,000 in credit card, personal loans and lines of credit debt, and chapter 7 bankruptcy was the best option. If I had gone through an attorney out of Great Falls, that an online company referred me to, I could have possibly payed double. On a side note: I knew about how credit scores/credit cards, etc worked. I just went against what I knew, and got more credit, putting me in a deeper debt hole to try and escape. Don't fall for their trap. Pay cash when you can. Myfico.com is a good resource, to learn about credit scores, building credit, etc. Thanks Matt, for helping me through the most stressful situation in life! I hope to never go under water again. But if I did, I know I'd be contacting you, to help.

Don't waste your time calling this attorney.
I called as a new customer requesting assistance with easement and CCR issues and updating which their site says they do. You get an answering service, someone who does not speak English well that roughly asks what you are wanting help with and says they will submit it to the attorney to see if they can assist you. I received NO return phone call and when I called back a WEEK later, the same person put me on a long hold and just said the attorney cannot help you. He didn't even ask who I was but clearly my phone number linked to my info. I asked if he even knew who I was or what this was about, he said yes a boundary issue. I told him NO this is not what I was calling about. They don't even find out what the case is about before they turn you away. They clearly are not out to help the community, rather pick and choose the cases they want. I would never use an attorney that didn't give you the time of day to even find out what your issue is before they turn you away and say they won't help you.

That’s what you are getting when you ask Wilton Strickland to draft a brief for you. Wilton’s research is always (always) thorough and his writing is always clear, logical and persuasive and never dry. He will collaborate with you to whatever extent you desire.
His critique of the weaknesses and strengths of opposing counsel’s memorandum is invariably top-notch.
Besides freeing you to focus on other tasks, filing a Strickland-written brief (over your name) increases the respect opposing counsel will have for you. No small thing.

Recently completed Estate Planning with Mr. Patrick Beddow that included family ranch property located in Montana and our home in Wyoming. He listened closely and asked pertinent questions so that I soon believed he clearly understood our needs. Relatively quickly he created our Revocable Family Trust and associated Realty Transfer Certificates; and his assistant had the necessary deeds recorded in the appropriate counties. I researched real estate attorneys in Montana ,we do not live in Montana but do live in a state that Mr Beddow has a license to practice. When I called the firm I was great with a very courtesy professional staff. Mr Beddow listened to what I was interested in and explained the process, and that he would check to see if there were any conflicts etc. not more than a day later I was contacted by this firm, they sent there retainer form and an amount to send for a retainer. I did that and they went to work right away. Stayed in touch and kept us informed . This is important if you do not reside in Montana. I have found it a good experience dealing with all the staff as well as Mr Beddow. I have also found that unlike some lawyers ,that our needs were treated as important to them.
They do bill you but not for every single lil piece of paper and every phone call with in reason. It appears also that they do not waste time trying to get billable hours,Simply put your in good hands and can expect to get what you pay for. A top class honest firm that cares and represents you with professional service . I have felt very comfortable dealing with them long distance.

I have used Worden Thane in the past, Reid was recommended by one of the partners in the firm for a consult on a case involving my home and a renter who did a substantial amount of damage to my property. Total damages so far $4500. Judge in Sanders County, MT ruled against me in small claims court. My only avenue was to appeal. Reid answered all my questions about the appeal process and the lengthy, expensive hearing that would no doubt follow. He was well versed in the law and the code which was used in the judgement against me. While I ended up having little to no recourse to recover the money Reid was generous with his time and was very helpful in my decision to not go forward with appeal. He did not rush me and encouraged me to look at the larger picture of the appeal process as well as the small amount of money I stood to recover from this horrible experience. I trust this man's honesty and his opinion.
