This lawyer was unable to deal with a case of abusive mother with OP against her. The case was done so unprofessional that she got the majority of kids time, despite being homeless and jobless. Lawyer was unable to send appropriate documents on time, file simple motions and the case was lost. May be all of that was staged and they just had a deal with opposite side.

I had a serious traffic matter and I needed help from an attorney. I want to Bob Heap for advice. He was extremely cordial and put me at ease immediately. We discussed my case, and he told me what the law was, what I could expect in pursuing my case, and how he would handle my representation. Bob did an excellent job for me. There are a lot of attorneys in the area he practices but I seriously doubt that many, if any, are as competent how is Bob. As things turned out, we negotiated an extremely favorable plea. I was very satisfied with. I would recommend Bob to anyone to hire as an attorney. Not only is he a very pleasant person, but he is also an extremely good lawyer, thoroughly knows the law, and is excellent at negotiating. I cannot say enough about Bob.

The following is based on my experience and perspective as a previous client. If you're ok with your divorce attorney taking his time, with no pressure or proactivity to move things along, and you’re definitely not interested in litigation but handling everything through settlement, then hire Dan.
After 3 months of working with Dan. I had a bad gut feeling that I was in the same position and made zero progress with the divorce case. So I began to consult with other family law attorneys for a second opinion. Dan is not a terrible attorney but was referred to as a “settlement attorney.” Meaning that if you’re looking for an attorney who will roll up his sleeve, ensure the divorce process gets moving and will be proactive with your case (especially as a father), then definitely look for another attorney, which is exactly what I had to do after the below happened.
After he ran through the initial retainer, he still charged me another 1.1K for services rendered. All that was accomplished legally was getting my wife served, a court appearance, 2 mediation sessions coordinated (which was paid outside of the retainer), and a 2nd court date that kept getting pushed down. A bulk of the costs on the invoice were for emails, texts and phone calls. For example, on one Saturday morning, I spoke to him for 63 seconds and my brother spoke to him for less than 3 minutes. Yet on his invoice he charged me for 24 minutes worth of service/fees. The previous is just one example of the line items I asked him to please elaborate and explain how he reached the final cost.
I asked him via email first to please elaborate and explain how he reaches the final cost/fees. First he called me a week later asking me a question to an answer I had already provided to him via text about a week and half ago. I then asked him if he could please elaborate how he got to the final cost/services regarding his invoice. His responses were defensive, he said that Judges tell him that “he doesn’t charge enough.” I tried asking him about specific line items (like the one previously mentioned) and he did not provide a clear answer. His response was, “What do you want?” and “this is the part where [I'm] supposed to give a number” but adds that if I low-ball him he “will walk away and I can go ahead and find another representation.” This was also not the first time he raised his voice (borderline yells) at me over the phone.
If necessary to defend my review, I can provide proof of call times plus the messages and emails I would send him and would get no response to them. I don’t want to drag this review out further so let me end this review with that he was much quicker to respond and take action regarding his payment (literally hours) in comparison to how proactive and quickly he handled my case, not to mention he took days to get back to my new family law attorney to make a legal transition of counsel in the case.

Hands down the BEST attorney I’ve been represented by. He navigated seamlessly through my custodial civil case with my son and I was awarded custody in the end. Mind you there were several landmines he had to help me over and as stated before the man did it with ease! A few months ago, I found myself calling Attorney John Brennock for his services again but this time for a serious life-threatening incident that happened in my apartment building where my cousin and I reside. Our neighbors moved from their apartment above us and management began repairs and renovations as they usually do. It was around 3:45 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2024 when we began to smell a strange but harsh odor that penetrated throughout our whole unit. The smell literally cut our breath so much that I opened all the windows, even opened the front door.
The following Monday morning my cousin called the property manager and discovered that they were working on the bathrooms however they didn’t disclose exactly what they were doing. After speaking to the property manager, we both concluded that we were exposed to some type of paint striper that contained methylene chloride.
I wondered how anyone could survive that smell and not keel over without wearing protective gear when working directly with these chemicals. Then I decided to look at my security cameras to see if it captured any type of equipment they were using for renovation of this apartment. I saw two men suited up in what looked like gas masks and carried a different type of fan that was small in size with them before they went upstairs. They were finished in less than thirty minutes and obviously closed all the windows and locked the apartment door to keep vagrants out. The odor became more intense and permeated throughout our unit for hours.
Mr. Brennock offered to write a letter to the property manager in regards to this incident. He isn’t a personal injury lawyer but did advise me that is what I would need if I wanted to pursue this matter. Then he informed me that I can still go to the hospital if I was still feeling bad, which we did. I thought if I didn’t go right away that there was no need. I opted out of the letter and chose to use the money that I have been saving to buy a home instead of attorney fees. He even gave me references to a couple of really good real estate agents to assist.
Yeah, I know what you're saying, “Well that’s not too much.” When a lawyer returns your every call or emails, responds to all not some of your questions, explains what's in their perimeters and what is not, followed by what they can do for you, and gives advice and then follows up on that advice, puts this attorney way above the others. Would I turn to this attorney if I need to again? Yes, absolutely.

I reached out to this attorney on July 24, 2024. We set up a Zoom call to go over the details and he advised that he would take on the matter. The date is now September 25, 2024 and there has been zero communication. My emails go unanswered. He's no responsive. He checks in and says he will reach out to you and doesn't.
I expected a lot more out of a legal professional, but received a lot less. I'm never one to leave a negative review, however, this has to be the absolute worst!

Mark was rude and trying to get a hold of him was difficult. He did not try and enforce any of the agreed upon terms between buyer and seller whether in writing or verbal. When I tried to contact him regarding these matters he ignored my requests. Big mistake!! I hired Mr. Metzger to handle my closings for selling and buying. This was not my first closing, but it was definitely the worst! His miscommunication with the other attorney caused me to lose my earnest money. I surely can say that Mark Metzger MAYBE able to handle a simple closing but if there is a bump on the road his clients are the ones getting screwed! The funny thing is that we all hire attorneys to take care of us when there is a bump on the road, not when everything is smooth and going as planned. Right?

We had requested a thirty minute consultation to determine the feasibility of our case in person. It went over to an hour long, which we were fine with paying for that extra time. What we were NOT fine with is that we were not consulted on any pre-meeting billable hours nor had we approved any pre-meeting billable hours. What turned from a small consultation fee turned into a nightmare of him sending us a bill for hours of "service" on the topic that probably took no more than 15 minutes for him to write up, totaling up to over $1,000! I have visited with several attorneys in the past on consultations and no one has EVER tried to bill me in this proposterous manner. I would never never hire or recommend this individual. Luckily, we fought that bill and sent him a check for the consultation fee amount which is what was the AGREED upon fee, after all, we did not HIRE him to do any research. IT WAS A CONSULTATION.

The worst experience I have ever had by far. Hired him to mediate maintenance issue. After paying for the initial consultation separately and then paying a retainer he never produced. Would not return phone calls. After his lack of professionalism I requested a refund of retainer, it took him three weeks to provide that and a billing statement where he had double charged me for the initial consultation and marked it half price and charged for bogus hours looking over paperwork related to the case. Took two weeks to get a response from him where he reconciled the double charge and reduced his hours billed. It cost me two months because I was referred here by a friend. Do not go here, you have been warned.
