Jessica P Douglas was a terrible lawyer. Douglas was rude and presumptuous at our initial meeting. Miss Douglas arrogantly told me of how she had seen my criminal history when I didn’t actually have any prior charges. Miss Douglas was impossible to get ahold of on the telephone I called her 2 or 3 times a day for 3 months and in that time I received 1 sixty second phone call. Miss Douglas requested a continuance on my case without informing me that she was doing so or that doing so would ensure my stay in jail an additional month and a half. She failed to request a bond review or reduction hearing on my behalf. After leaving me in Douglas county for 3 months she failed to even get a slight reduction in the severity of my charges. I am now a convicted felon and Miss Douglas continued to insist that I was not complying with my probation when I was sentenced to time served with no continued monitoring. Thank you miss Douglas for assisting me on my decent homeless felon. You’re a peach!

Highly recommend her! Absolute bull dog in the court room! We’ve retained her and had her represent us and our family in several different matter and she has never let us down! Please be careful when hiring James Korth. 2 years and 8000.00 for a simple case. Never wave your right to a speedy trial. So because this guy is about retaliation his secretary made a phone call to us and he charges is 31 dollars for a phone call and the case is over. This guy is a snake and doesn’t stand for anything good.

This firm is awful. They will only take on easy cases probably because they are poor attorneys. They don't actually work their own cases and "partner" with others. Also, their client agreement is very one sided in their favor and not at all like other agreements we looked at. They wasted a bunch of our time and would not release documents we provided to them to another attorney that we decided to hire. Do not trust these guys - find someone else.

I legit have court in the morning and I am not prepared. I asked my attorney (MARK BESTUL) to get a continuance and that I couldnt miss work for 90days and he emphatically said no! He said the judge wouldn't approve it as the initial order would be "halfway into the order." Ummm, what the hell does that even mean IF they can be granted from 1 year to 5? Nevermind my abuser (yes, it's DV) was granted a continuance to 1) LEAVE THE COUNTRY. Then, they 2) gave me the wrong address to the courthouse. Then, 3) it was reset for lack of time last week. I asked Mark this last week as getting all the necessary documents, etc would take some time AND I did not want to lose my job. I called and asked what I could do to escalate it for his boss to speak with him and was told I could file a grievance. Yes, a grievance that WOULD take weeks/months to resolve. I have court in the morning, less-than 1 weeks after the last court appearance that was reset by the judge. This is ridiculous. This is why people handle things their own way as doing it the "right/preferred" way gets you wholly ignored and minimized. I will end up dead and it'll be my fault that I didn't do what exactly? Report, file, comply??? He is a joke and this agency is a bigger joke. 😔

This is supposed to be an organization that helps those who cannot help themselves in a tricky, confusing legal system. They know their clients are likely to not have computers (why are their documents barely fillable on a phone??), and they know their clients likely do not have bank accounts (why TF do they ask for a debit card???), and they know their clients have likely been screwed over by the legal system time and again (why do they make it difficult to complete a process like getting a d*mn ID????). If I could leave zero stars I would. Do your job, Legal Aid of Nebraska. Do your job.

If you are looking for a lawyer that takes months to respond, Zach is your guy. It sometimes seemed like the only way to get him to respond was to CC the officer manager on emails so as to somewhat hold him accountable. Also, the law firm appears to have blocked my email addresses so I am no longer able to get in contact with my lawyer or anyone else in the office whatsoever. I still need the lawyer I hired to respond to me and update the contact information for a trademark filing. Horrible service.

I used to do all my own collections for two separate businesses I manage and it was so time consuming and confusing with all the different rules and laws. I was sure there had to be an easier way. After calling around to many lawyers here in town I found Janelle's name came up repeatedly. I met with her and she was awesome! I gave her one of our largest collection accounts to test the waters and in no time her and her team had a full payment! I would recommend her to anyone and everyone!

Janelle Foltz was hired by ARL Credit Services. ARL doesn't even have a front door to their business...Google maps shows it located in a Home Health Services business. ARL is NOT accredited by the Better Business Bureau. Ms. Foltz doesn't have any website and her reviews on Google indicate she's a suspicious character. In my garnishment case, ARL and Ms. Foltz both failed to show to court. They lost their case.

They filed for a judgement against me in an entirely different County that had zero jurisdiction and brought my ex-wife into the matter who I've been divorced from for 7 years. Shady! These people are ethically immoral!

What these guys don't mention in their bios is that they're bottom-feeders just like their clients such as "Professional" Choice Recovery. Like far too many others, they very conveniently believe that exploiting a legal/court system for their own personal profit is perfectly fine, like a constitutional right. But just as Jesus rebuked tax collectors, there's supposed to be an actual "value system" which has far higher standards than those that have been molding our legal/court system with only their interests at heart, due to a total lack of Integrity, for more than 200 years. "Our" lawmakers need to close this back door to shameful profits, if a lawyer or law firm can't make enough profits from doing professional work, they should have enough dignity and self-respect to avoid exploiting the court system to go after people with a lot less money than they have. Being Bottom Feeders, isn't a respectable profession. I think Nebraska's small claims court system is decades or more behind many others. Since many people have to attempt to defend themselves, due to attorney costs, we need to be able to make our defense regardless of, and without lawyer tactics. Such things as trying to get a Summary Judgement in small claims court is just a dirty tactic to keep the defendant from defending their position. Of course, it's very likely that the attorney handling small cases is trying to impress the owner or senior partners and probably has to prove to them that they'll do whatever it takes to win cases for their client. In fact I suspect that lawyers put that into their supposed ethics rules, rules I'm pretty certain they created for themselves, again with no consideration for The People. They have a lot more work to do on ethics, they're far from done. It's been proven over and over again that people are far to narcistic to make their own rules, especially in a system that's supposed to be For and By The People. It's my impression that the Nebraska small court system has been routinely granting Summary Judgements, which means the defendant is prevented from telling their side. It very clearly shows that our legal/court system is for and by lawyers, and definitely not For and By The People. In fact it's extremely pro-lawyer, the people looking to become wealthy as lawyers, which is why they choose the profession. The interests of The People were never considered because that would have a negative impact on lawyers amassing wealth.

"Our" lawmakers need to close this back door to shameful profits, if a lawyer or law firm can't make enough profits from doing professional work, they should have enough dignity and self-respect to avoid exploiting the court system to go after people with a lot less money than they have. Being Bottom Feeders, isn't a respectable profession. I think Nebraska's small claims court system is decades or more behind many others. Since many people have to attempt to defend themselves, due to attorney costs, we need to be able to make our defense regardless of, and without lawyer tactics. Such things as trying to get a Summary Judgement in small claims court is just a dirty tactic to keep the defendant from defending their position. Of course, it's very likely that the attorney handling small cases is trying to impress the owner or senior partners and probably has to prove to them that they'll do whatever it takes to win cases for their client. In fact I suspect that lawyers put that into their supposed ethics rules, rules I'm pretty certain they created for themselves, again with no consideration for The People. They have a lot more work to do on ethics, they're far from done. It's been proven over and over again that people are far to narcistic to make their own rules, especially in a system that's supposed to be For and By The People. It's my impression that the Nebraska small court system has been routinely granting Summary Judgements, which means the defendant is prevented from telling their side. It very clearly shows that our legal/court system is for and by lawyers, and definitely not For and By The People. In fact it's extremely pro-lawyer, the people looking to become wealthy as lawyers, which is why they choose the profession. The interests of The People were never considered because that would have a negative impact on lawyers amassing wealth.

I've been a lawyer for 20 years in Denver. I hired Pat Heng to handle a legal issue. He's very likable over the phone, and he got the result we wanted, but (in my opinion and experience) incredibly rude and lazy about keeping in touch and returning texts and phone calls.
