This is the worst experience I ever had hiring a lawyer. I reached out to Davis Business Law in need of service acquiring a small business. They were very sweet and nice till I paid the retainer fee of $1800 which they said would be approximate cost for their service during the Due Diligence period. Please beware they need this amount to be paid in advance. As soon as I paid the fees their attitude changed completely. I had no longer access to the lawyer (Noelle Moorad) that was assigned to me. Every time I called in with a query I was told by the assistant that the lawyer was too busy to talk to me and was asked to send an e-mail instead. The assistant herself was so rude on the phone that I asked to have my money back and as soon as I sent mail asking for the refund, the lawyer called me within 5 minutes to apologize and promised they will do better. However, it was the same story from the very next day.
I needed a Letter of Intent to be prepared for the Business Purchase. I provided the draft and asked her to change "Asking price" and few other minor details. All in all she edited one paragraph of 4 lines which was dictated by me and they charged me for 2 hours billing at $395/hour for editing a two page document and emailing it. The lawyer did not even read the document diligently because it had errors which I had to point out. The Lawyer provided no help negotiating with the seller or any other legal guidance whatsoever. Also it seemed like she had little experience acquiring a small business as she was asking why I, as a buyer, needed to make the earnest deposit which is a regular process in any Small Business Acquisition
I was purchasing a Grocery Store with a gas station. And when the fuel supplier was aggressively pushing himself into the deal by inserting his clauses into the LOI. The lawyer asked me to go through the clauses and deal with it because she was too busy to work on it. This was on Friday and next Monday I get a mail from a new assistant asking if I want to move forward with the purchase. I said yes and they sent me another bill for $800 to retain their service. They said the $1800 I paid were exhausted in preparing the LOI and replying to the emails. I declined to pay extra $800 as I did not see the service they provided to me so far worth $1800. When I sent an email saying this and describing my experience I received email from the COO (Robert Applegate) saying that he will call me the next day to go over the issue. Next day on the phone I talked to the COO and told him about my experience to which his answer was that he does not see anything wrong from their end and it was my mistake that I agreed to pay $395/hour.
I will now have to hire another lawyer to help me through the due diligence period.

Aaron Compton was fantastic to work with. When I had an unjustified lawsuit brought against me, he stepped in as my council and handled it masterfully. He did his research to familiarize himself with the plaintiff's past litigious behaviors and knew exactly what to expect. On the day of court, Aaron came with a plan A, B, or C based on what direction the plaintiff chose to push the issue, and he was fully prepared for each scenario. Luckily, only plan A was needed, and the plaintiff skulked away, dismissed the suit, and will likely re-think the way they do business going forward. I fought for 8 months to get a GAL per the request of one of my children, as well as their counselor. After finally getting my ex to agree, we were assigned Mrs Smith as the GAL for our case. Almost immediately, I regretted ever agreeing to using her, but decided to trust the process. There are FAR too many things to put into a google review…but I am more than happy to provide any and all details if anyone should choose to reach out to me. By FAR, the worst decision I made in the entire almost 3 year process of my divorce. She actually didn’t care that my ex was refusing to sign to give her access to one of our former marriage counselor’s records…which CLEARLY confirmed the abuse I had been telling her about…saying only after weeks of letting this go that “it was clearly important to ME that she have access to these records” in an email to my legal team…NOT that she thought it was important for HER to have access to those records…because she truly didn’t care what was in them, nor would they have had any weight on her decision…which has ultimately destroyed my relationship with one of my children…in his words, “she didn’t listen to me, mom, and I don’t think she did her job” She made the decision that my ex husband’s girlfriend “doesn’t have a drinking problem” after it was brought to my attention that she drove my children AFTER a judge ruled that she couldn’t drive her OWN children under the influence, and having told my ex and her that she shouldn’t be driving them months prior…and when that was violated, she took the word of my CHILD who said he felt fine being in the car with her (because what CHILD should be put in that situation to tell his father in her presence that he doesn’t because he’s read everything and is aware of everything in her still pending case) When I brought it up…she simply told me, she didn’t think she had a drinking problem, and that it wasn’t a court ruled decision…when in fact it was, and I sent her the public document clearly stating that it’s (still currently) a court ordered decision…I caution you HIGHLY to look into the complaints against her and her ethics before agreeing to let her make decisions regarding your children that could potentially have lifelong consequences.

Don't go here I've been dealing with this office for over a year now and my lawyer Tom ventura has not reached out to me one time. I've always reached out to him. And when I tried to talk with Tom ventura and work things out and express my concerns he said I was a lier and argued with me. He didn't even try to hear me out on the way I've been feeling. Then I told him what I need to do to fire him, after he talked to me like that and he made inappropriate comments after that as well. This office as a whole is Not professional at all every single person I've dealt with here is terrible at communicating but if you ask them, they aren't doing anything wrong and I'm a liar. SMH guess you can't get along with everyone cause believe me l, I'm a very patient person and I've tried for an entire year with these people to make it work and it just isn't working out, not even a little bit.

I obtained services from Carr and Carr years ago and my case went on for several years and to another court system sorry I don't remember what it was called. But here in the end they got my judgement approved. It has been a long ,long road but they fought for me they have done a fantastic job. Can't Thank them enough. Do not use this law firm!!! I lost complete use of my left arm and got $500 settlement and this law firm got over $5,000. Because they dragged my case out a year my loans totaling $3000 with interest of 70 percent ended up a lot more. I lost my employment because of losing ability to type. Left arm is paralyzed!

Not sure why there is not that many reviews . Tim Beets, had my case that lasted 3 year due to the opponents not cooperating, and trying to tire me.
First day i met him, he listed and put a simple plan with instructions since my previous lawyer froze in court, simple divorce case with no kids, so tim toke my case with no hesitation, and i can say now, i hit the jackpot.
Tim, is very quiet, none reactive, while u r burning in emotion, he is the rock that Will ground u, the first day i told him something, and never repeated, he didn’t write it down, 2,5 years later he brought it up during deposition and asked my ex about it, i was speechless ( which doesn’t happen that often) he grilled him calmly and with smile, fooled his lawyer who is very highly paid one and one of their ads r on tv 24/7, she didn’t even feel her client was digging himself deeper, just because he was soooo calm and his voice was study and none threading, we got more information during the deposition than the 2 discovery we requested.
In trial, which he put me on stand without telling me what he will ask, he had points that wanted the judge to hear, was very respectful of the court time and the judge boundaries making sure not to offend her or irritate her, the 3 question from the opponent to me, she lost the judge, she was too aggressive and asked the same question 5 time wanting me to give legal definition to something stupid, i was calm because of him, i knew i had him facing me where i can just look at him where he nodes or smile so i know i was on the right track and doing good.
Let me tell u, the end of the case, he got me way more than what i asked for when I filed for divorce thinking my ex will b smart enough not to drag it or wast money on lawyers since we both were miserable, but he was misinformed and led by his ( overrated firm and aggressive lawyer) to milk him for more, i guess to pay for more tv commercials 🤦🏻♀️and lawyers who their job just to do sales 🤷🏻♀️. His loss my gain.
Timothy Beets, is not only knowledgeable, or smart, but he is very sharp. Respectful, professional, nice, empathetic, and a human.
Now let me talk about his staff, Kayli Price and Lauren Taylor, these young ladies were always responsive to every email, or a call, in addition, when i walk in, they were there to support me in so many levels, whenever there is something critical, they both cheer for me or cheer me up, i walk there and feel i am looking at family members ( that i like), no words to describe how much love i have for them both, they r the type u wish to have as ur daughters.
Hire him, and u will win ur case and gain new family members who r supportive.
