I’ve known Shawn for about 20 years. He has been a local bar leader, particularly with organizing legal education events that are mandatory for us lawyers. Shawn has a reputation for his hilarious Business Law lectures at St. Martin’s University, where he’s been an adjunct professor for many years.Shawn’s commitment to zealously represent his clients is legendary. For example, he represented an owner of a sports bar who did not believe the indoor smoking ban was fair or legal. Shawn’s is dogged defense of Frankie, the owner, continued even though client actively broke the law by allowing smoking in his “private club.” The State wasn’t having any of it and closed down the bar.
It’s not always easy to represent folks who deliberately violate the law. These clients are some of the most challenging, as they basically believe their individual rights trump the citizens’ rights to health and safety. Frankie died not long ago, perhaps because his right to smoke killed him.

Russell represented me in a custody case. Out of several attorneys I consulted with, he was the only one who understood the law as it applied to my case. He is very approachable and genuinely cares about his clients. Although I changed attorney's mid case, it is not a negative reflection of Russell. An attorney who was more suited to my opponents attorney seemed like a better approach. This was simply my own perception and Russell was completely understanding. My case was extreme and very complex. I will say he is the only attorney I've met who had the courage to stand by me while I made a judgement call and disobeyed a court order for safety reasons for my child. He backed me and when it was done the court agreed with us, but it was a risk and he took it with me. At the end of our attorney client relationship, he and I disagreed on a particular tactic and I was unhappy with that single outcome, and because of that he waived the fees for that particular hearing. I've never heard of an attorney doing that! It is clear he has integrity, is extremely knowledgeable on the law and I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

I was referred to Mark thru my work EAP. He was the 3rd lawyer I had been referred to and he was the 1st lawyer who listened, showed concern, admitted that he didnt have all the answers, would get back to me (which he did) and spoke to me a lot longer than the "allowed" free 30 minute consult. He asked a lot of questions, worked with me on payment for services rendered and suggested an action plan...all BEFORE I even agreed to hire him. He went above and beyond and once I did hire him, that commitment he promised never stopped. He is an excellent lawyer.

Mr. Ferrell was very professional in his representation of me. He or someone from his team was with me at every hearing until the charges were put in a dismissed status. I never went back to jail after that first horrible weekend. We are currently discussing the procedure of completely removing the case from my record. I will return here with the results of that.

I know that you went through hell during the almost two years that I worked with you when having to deal with a great deal of turnover and for that I apologize for having to request assistance elsewhere.
I just wanted to let you know that thanks to you, we did get to the bottom of things in time. I know you were worried. You warned me about your experience with another attorney and while I know your worries were valid, I just wanted you to know that everything got settled in time. I was dealing with a battle of attrition because opposing counsel wasn't subpoenaing their witnesses. After we delt with so many continuances (most of which occurred the day of our scheduled trial), we eventually settled and the rest is history after 5 years. We stood firm and we won. I never would've held it together for those first two years without you. Thank you for everything!

My husband and I cannot recommend Morgan Ziegler enough.
We had called several other attorneys that had been recommended to us by family and friends before we found Morgan. Every one of those other calls we felt like we were being rushed off the phone, not listened to, and that we were/ keeping the person on the other end from something more important. From the moment we first spoke to Morgan he made us feel heard. He took time to listen to us and to talk to us, and answered all our questions patiently and with kindness, and made sure we understood the answers we were given before hanging up. We instantly knew we were going to be in the best hands. And we were.
Our first consultation was informative, not rushed, and eased all the concerns we had. Morgan walked us through each step of the process patiently and with professionalism and kindness.

If I had questions, she not only answered them but did research to provide me the best possible answer. If I had doubt, she allowed me time to work through the issues and did not make me feel pressured or rushed. She took the time to talk me through options to get the best outcome that suited me. The estate I represent hired Ms. Potebnya more than three years ago to assist with the continued leasing and future redevelopment and sale of a 120 acre industrial park in Lacey Washington. No matter what the outcome of the case would have been, I would have always given five stars. The outcome of our case did turn out very well. If we didn't have Gary and his team it would have turned out very different. I owe it all to everyone at the Preble Law Firm. Just be prepared to answer with a yes or a no. Gary really likes his questions answered with a yes or no. I am the type to try and elaborate on something. That took some getting used to. Gary has good intentions. If you want your case to be handled by the best then I would hire Gary and his team. I truly believe it was their expertise that got us the outcome we received. He will tell it like it is. I was involved in a high-stakes land use issue regarding the Shorelines Management Act.
We were litigating with a landlord employing a tony downtown Seattle law firm. For face saving reasons, the manager directing their law firm left the case on autopilot. Consequently, we were litigating against their lawyer who had every incentive (besides his client's interest) to pursue every imaginable legal cul de sac.
They were outspending us almost 3 to 1 (this came out later). Even though we finally settled in the low six-figures, the final tally was pennies on the dollar for us and carnage on the other side. The settlement covered only a sliver of their legal fees and the litigation drew unwanted city attention to their property and the ways in which they were skirting the law.
Peter was great to work with. I found him well connected, well regarded and generous with his knowledge and time. He was clever, always wrestling with the case in his mind, and always cognizant of the personal dimension of a case, either regarding the client or the opponent. In this case, as well as with counsel later in several other matters, I found him pragmatic or pugnacious as circumstances warranted. In some instances, we pressed the fight, in others, we walked away. In all cases, these seemed appropriate courses even in hindsight.
When I have had further need for services, he is my first call.
