I discovered Guy Herreman through a co worker of mine and was not disappointed . Guy , Ella , Rhiannon , and Alyssa have been nothing but great for my self and my case in regards to custody of my daughter . They are very thorough , and explain everything into detail . They have not let me down , and continue to fight for me . I am very happy that I have found them , they work with you in regards to payments and even have several payment options just in case you can’t pay the money up front . I’m very satisfied with everything they have provided and done for me this far .

I am Single dad and Herreman law firm came in at full force once I contacted them for services .If I could give a better rating I would, Herreman Law Firm made my experience with lawyers a very pleasant one, I couldn't ask for more out of a law firm than this law firm did for me, Guy Herreman is extremely excellent at what he does and he helped me get my move out of state order ( relocation). Through the whole experience one of the ladies from the office named Rhiannon she is extremely insightful and was a huge help in my case, Any unsettling feelings, or confusion about anything in my case she took time out of here day to explain everything very throughly. This law firm was not worried about the money, they were more worried about me winning my case and making sure I was a happy client and they worked with me and im so glad I choose this law firm, and plan to use them for my next court date in the near future for my judgement order. Choosing this law firm is the way to go, would choose this law firm again if I needed lawyer services for family law and father rights. Thank Herreman Law Firm for everything you did for me and my family.

Castillo Harper, APC is the BEST in all of Law Enforcement Legal Representation. I have been in law enforcement for the past 22 years and never had any issues that Brandi Harper could handle with ease. Brandi is very knowledgeable in her field and has great communication skills which makes her so approachable and great to work with. Brandi has been working with our police union as a legal representative during contract negotiations, and has worked relentlessly to get our union what we deserve. Brandi is a hardworking and persevering lawyer who you can depend on at zero dark thirty hours when an officer involved shooting occurs. She has been available many countless nights with a single phone call. Brandi always answers her phone no matter what time it is and is ready for any police issues that arise. I sincerely recommend Brandi as Lawyer and Castillo Harper, APC for any legal representation.

Mr.valdez is incompetent and unprofessional he did nothing to stop Riverside county child protective services from throwing me out of my home and taking me away from my children one in which was not even 2 months old I addressed the fact they came to my home without a warrant and without even filling the petition in court yet made false statements made by the worker in the petition filed and falsified test results from a laboratory that did not exist and and should have had Riverside community hospital as the letter head that they were not allowing me and my children visitation or providing me with reunification services I was forced to be homeless in the streets because he wouldn't address my concerns with the court he instead treated me as if i was guilty or with disregard even tried to tell me i had only came to one hearing when i had went to everyone of them even when i had to sit outside in my car the whole day mr.valdez asked if i wanted to testify i told him yes the day i was suppose to testify he said are you sure i told him yes then he told me oh i told them no and whet with what he thought was best well now they terminated services and gave my children to my ex i tried to fire him and the jude judge told me no

Brent Valdez only offered the absolute WORST legal representation possible. This "Lawyer" did absolutely nothing for me in my case, and could not even offer proper advice concerning what to do next in the case. He actually damaged my case, and I walked away with more problems because of him. After I fumbled through the legal process, with absolutely no guidance from Mr. Valdez, or follow up from him after court hearings - he turns around and tells me after the case closed, that "you made terrible legal decisions"!!! Brent Valdez is combative, and argumentative with his clients. He doesn't help them to understand what is going on in their case, because he himself has no clue. When he fails terribly - he will blame you for "your bad legal decisions". **Follow up was non-existent **The only communication that I received from Brent Valdez during the time that he represented me, was a 5 minute talk - minutes before going into court. **Communication skills were terrible (combative, indecisive, unclear about laws, misguiding, he does not confirm what you are saying, he takes what you say and makes false interpretations - he screwed me because he did not bother to confirm what I said to him.) During court Brent Valdez stutter stepped at every turn when he spoke to the judge. There was no assurance that he felt comfortable, and every other word is "Uhm". In closing - DO NOT TRUST THIS LAWYER...ever. Ultimately, I will be forced to hire another attorney to appeal the decision of the judge in this case, all because Mr. Valdez failed to properly communicate.

He rushed through my case and documents. His attitude was poor and disrespectful. He did not proofread the claim document, he spelled my name wrong, had dates wrong, and then got upset when I wouldn't sign it. Horrible experience

Does not care about the individual, only the corporation. He could care less who he steps on or harms even if you are disabled. He was also recently sued in a case alleging fraud and misconduct related to the Canyon Lake HOA development. Although he may have been defended well and not found to be guilty it still does not mean he was innocent. Based on my dealings with him and my current HOA whom he represents, I am sure that any allegations of impropriety were no doubt true since my own HOA operates in the same manner. If your an HOA and wish to hire an attorney who does not care about individual rights or resolving neighbor disputes but only referring disenfranchised homeowners to an obnoxious attorney who will rudely tell them that the superior court says its for the greater good of the community to disregard the rights of those who are disabled and elderly because once you choose to buy a house in a community governed organization you must than face the repercussions of your actions and expect to be treated not as an individual but as a number. In essence he believes that Americans civil liberties rank second or not at all to what he views as the greater good...namely his law firm spending money to litigate even if it means enforcing rules which are a blatant violation of the cc&c or shall I say failing to take action to enforce the cc&r regulations against another homeowner despite the fact that other neighbors are suffering because of decisions the HOA made with his approval. If you are a mean selfish person who shares his perspective and world view than I suppose he is your guy. If on the other hand you care about the pain and suffering endured by the individual based on the indifference and power exerted by management associations and HOA boards than I suggest to hire someone with a human heart that actually has blood running through it. Others who know of him do not speak highly of him and he is known for running up huge legal bills for his clients when the matter could have and should have been resolved quite easily and quickly between the HOA and the homeowner without the need for litigation. This it appears is how he earns his living. The opinions expressed by me are based on facts and of course my personal dealings with the attorney and I have the right to freedom of speech therefore I will express my views and I hope it helps others who want to avoid hiring Mr. Racobs.

I strongly advise against hiring this attorney. She was completely unprepared and failed to file critical paperwork with the court, leaving me without proper representation. She offered no support, no defense, and seemed utterly disorganized and uncomfortable throughout the entire process. Not only did she fail to follow the terms of our contract—like notifying me when my balance reached $1,000—but she also doubled the retainer fees without any warning. Her billing practices are shady at best, and it's clear she's manipulating hours to pad her paycheck. This attorney doesn’t keep you informed about your case—you’re left in the dark, forced to chase her down for updates. In court, she provides no guidance or strategy, leaving you to figure out your own evidence and defense. When it comes time to speak, she’s either silent or clueless, offering nothing of value. Her lack of professionalism, honesty, and basic competence is astonishing. She doesn't just fail to fight for you—she fails to even show up for the fight. Avoid her at all costs.

What a Business Lawyer Can Do for You

A business lawyer provides critical legal guidance and support to entrepreneurs, startups, and established businesses. Whether you are forming a new company, drafting contracts, or navigating complex regulations, a business attorney ensures you are legally protected and operating within the law. They can also help prevent legal disputes or represent you in negotiations, transactions, or lawsuits that arise during the course of business operations.

Business lawyers have expertise in areas such as business formation, contract law, intellectual property, employment law, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. They ensure that your business is compliant with relevant laws and help mitigate risks that could threaten your company's success.

When Should I Hire a Business Lawyer?

Hiring a business lawyer is essential at various stages of business development, including:

  • Forming a business: When deciding on the best structure for your company (LLC, corporation, partnership, etc.), a lawyer can guide you through the registration and compliance process.
  • Drafting contracts: If you need contracts for employees, partners, suppliers, or clients, a lawyer ensures these documents are legally sound and in your best interest.
  • Mergers, acquisitions, or dissolutions: If you are buying, selling, or dissolving a company, legal counsel is critical to avoid costly mistakes.
  • Compliance and regulatory issues: A lawyer can help navigate complex regulations, particularly in industries like healthcare, finance, or tech.
  • Resolving disputes: Whether it's contract disagreements, intellectual property infringement, or employment issues, a business lawyer helps mediate, negotiate, or litigate on your behalf.

What Does a Business Lawyer Do?

Business lawyers provide a wide range of services that cater to different legal needs of a business. They can:

  • Help you choose the best legal structure for your business.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with employees, suppliers, customers, or business partners.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Advise on tax strategies to minimize your business's tax burden.
  • Assist with intellectual property protection, such as trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
  • Handle mergers, acquisitions, and business sales, ensuring all legal paperwork is in order.
  • Resolve disputes through negotiation, arbitration, or litigation.

How Are Business Lawyers Paid?

Business lawyers typically charge either by the hour or on a flat-fee basis, depending on the complexity of the work. Common payment structures include:

  • Hourly rates: The lawyer charges based on the time spent working on your case. Rates vary depending on the lawyer's experience and location.
  • Flat fees: For certain tasks, such as incorporating a business or drafting a standard contract, a lawyer may offer a flat fee.
  • Retainer: Some businesses may hire a lawyer on retainer, paying a fixed amount each month to have ongoing access to legal services.

The payment structure is often discussed during an initial consultation so you can choose the one that best suits your business needs and budget.

How Much Does a Business Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a business lawyer depends on factors such as:

  • The complexity of the legal issue: More complex matters, like mergers or intellectual property disputes, typically cost more than routine tasks like contract drafting.
  • The lawyer's experience and location: More experienced lawyers or those in larger cities often charge higher fees.
  • The nature of the billing arrangement: Hourly rates can range from $150 to $1,000 or more, depending on the lawyer's expertise. Flat fees are usually available for simpler matters like forming an LLC or drafting a standard contract.

It's essential to discuss fee structures upfront to avoid surprises.

Top Questions to Ask a Business Lawyer

Before hiring a business lawyer, ask the following questions during your consultation:

  1. What is your experience with businesses like mine?
Find out if the lawyer has handled legal issues for companies in your industry.
  2. What services do you offer?
Ensure the lawyer can meet all your business's legal needs, from contract drafting to dispute resolution.
  3. What are your fees, and how do you bill?
Get clarity on how you'll be charged - whether by the hour, flat fee, or retainer.
  4. How do you handle conflicts of interest?
Ask how the lawyer ensures there is no conflict in representing your business.
  5. Can you provide references from other business clients?
Speaking with past clients will give you an idea of the lawyer's expertise and professionalism.
  6. Do you have experience in my specific industry?
Industry-specific knowledge can be crucial, especially in highly regulated fields like healthcare or finance.

How to Check the Credibility of a Business Lawyer

To ensure you're hiring a reputable business lawyer:

  • Check state bar association records: Verify that the lawyer is in good standing and has no disciplinary actions against them.
  • Look for client reviews or testimonials: Online reviews, testimonials, or word of mouth from other business owners can provide insight into the lawyer's reliability and effectiveness.
  • Ask for references: A credible lawyer should have satisfied clients who can vouch for their services.
  • Check professional memberships: Membership in respected legal organizations (such as the American Bar Association or a local business lawyer association) can signal credibility.
  • Review their website and professional profile: A well-established lawyer typically has a professional website showcasing their areas of expertise, credentials, and case success.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most out of your first consultation with a business lawyer, prepare the following:

  • A description of your business and its structure: This will help the lawyer understand your legal needs.
  • Any current contracts or agreements: If you're seeking contract advice, bring copies of existing contracts.
  • A list of legal issues or concerns: Be ready to discuss any potential legal challenges, such as regulatory compliance, disputes, or transactions.
  • Financial documents: If applicable, bring financial records related to the legal matter you're seeking help with.
  • Questions about fees and billing: Ensure you understand the lawyer’s payment structure and fees upfront.

By preparing these materials, you can ensure that your first meeting with a business lawyer is productive and informative.
