I was not satisfied with my experience with Stock Legal and would not recommend. I did not receive much value or benefit from their services, especially considering the amount they billed me for. They advertise themselves as more cost effective and client- and people-focused than large law firms but I did not find that to be the case. They were just as or even more expensive and focused on hourly billing than other attorneys I have worked with. I would have been more ok with paying their fees if they would have actually helped me with my issue but it quickly became clear it wasn't really their expertise. Their website says the initial meeting is complimentary but they charged me because I had worked with a lawyer who is not even with their firm any longer on a separate issue years ago, which felt kind of sneaky to me. The website also says they will avoid sticker shock when seeing their fee invoice, but I was definitely surprised to be charged when I had really received very little in the way of helpful legal advice or services in return.

I couldn't be more grateful to Doug and his firm for the help they gave me. Roundabout 2 years ago now, I was facing a pretty scary legal situation that dropped on me out of the blue, and was lucky enough to be introduced to Doug through a mutual friend. I was not satisfied with my experience with Stock Legal and would not recommend. I did not receive much value or benefit from their services, especially considering the amount they billed me for. They advertise themselves as more cost effective and client- and people-focused than large law firms but I did not find that to be the case. They were just as or even more expensive and focused on hourly billing than other attorneys I have worked with. I would have been more ok with paying their fees if they would have actually helped me with my issue but it quickly became clear it wasn't really their expertise. Their website says the initial meeting is complimentary but they charged me because I had worked with a lawyer who is not even with their firm any longer on a separate issue years ago, which felt kind of sneaky to me. The website also says they will avoid sticker shock when seeing their fee invoice, but I was definitely surprised to be charged when I had really received very little in the way of helpful legal advice or services in return.

On our first visit to his office I was appalled by his appearance he look like he was getting ready to binge watch HBO( sweet pants hadn't shaved look bad I speak English but my wife does not she only speaks Spanish well his secretary was going to interpret to this day I don't know if she speaks fluent Spanish so me and my wife sat there quit listening he was rambling on about ways she could when her case never asking whybshf came to America in the first place goingbon ahout how we could use me to fake being depressed for a reason she could stay in the United states on in on my goodness would this man shut up already we paid him 800 hundred dollars to do one simple thing we wanted him yo file a motion to drop the case and seek another judge his words he called thd judge a few things but anyway he had two weeks to get this motion in to thd judge sounds simple like a high school kid could do that for 800 hundred dollars right no not him when we did go in front of the judge he denied the motion the binge watcher got the motion in the same day as the court date was so the judge said no way and guess what mc fly was wearing sweet pants tee shirt hadn't shaved my goodness there is more but im saving that for my formal complaint to the board unbelievable
