You will not find a more dedicated, detailed, competent advocate for your cause.
I retained Scott in a dispute over the HOA permitting my neighbors' construction to impair my view and my privacy. Scott was wonderful to work with, in spite of the miserableness of being in litigation.
Scott listens to your issues and absorbs them thoroughly. He effectively balances your contentions in the case while navigating the pitfalls of the legal system. He is infinitely patient, repeating information I had forgotten, clarifying legal terms and procedures. He remembers every detail I told him, even when my head is spinning in anger or upset, or his head is spinning with other cases and deadlines.

My wife and I hired Scott to assist us when our condo's first floor was completely flooded by rain water during a big storm in 2017. Scott was highly instrumental in helping us to communicate, navigate, and expedite our way through the insurance company repair approval process, the condo reconstruction work with the HOA appointed General Contractor, and ultimately getting us reimbursed for all of our expenses and relocation costs due to the flood. Knowing that we had Scott (and Erika) on our team made a very, very stressful event more manageable and gave us a level of comfort we wouldn't have had otherwise. They also referred me to a nearby medical facility which gave me excellent medical care without me having to pay any out of pocket charges. What an experience it has been. I was rear-ended at high speed by a truck on the freeway. My car was smashed and both my wife and I were both hurt badly. Things only got worse when my own insurance company tried to delay my claim while they “investigated” what had happened.
I said enough is enough. I got out the phone book and found John Burns in the yellow pages. John Burns and his excellent staff got things moving right away. They got a fair settlement for the damage to my vehicle. They also helped me to get the treatment I needed and they got me a fair settlement for my injuries. I was in a terrifying accident. I was hit by a car while crossing the street in a cross walk. I was knocked into the air, and my head actually hit the car before I was thrown to the pavement, I was badly hurt, with injuries including a broken collar bone, a concussion and numerous abrasions. Emergency Medical Services took me to the emergency room and I had to spend the night in the hospital. It was a painful injury and it took time to recover.

Mr. Corfield helped me win a settlement in a very sensitive business matter that other attorneys told me was a "no win" case. I had one other lawyer before him who dropped me as a client when the other side hired an aggressive lawyer. Mr. Corfield took my case and got me a settlement I was happy with. He always returned emails and calls in a prompt manner and he always made me feel like my case was important to him which I greatly appreciated. I highly recommend.

We (my husband and myself) hired Robin Black approximately one year ago to represent me in regards to a traffic accident that happened to me. She has been prompt in giving us any changes in status, very knowledgeable and patient in explaining to us how things in the car insurance business work. We feel well represented so far and trust her with our case. We feel her firm is reliable and interested in getting the best result possible for us. Robert Johnson Jr. is very friendly and when we call, Robin has kept him updated about our case so when she is not there - he is able to answer my questions for me if I am in a hurry, otherwise Ms. Black gets back to me promptly.

I hired this lawyer along with her associate Robert Johnson Jr. of the same office in 2005. Since then, she and her cohorts have conspired against me to work with another client surreptitiously behind the scenes in violation of the Rules of Conduct for attorneys prescribed by the State Bar and I have reported them both to the State Bar of California twice now, for violating my rights to attorney-client and work-product privileges. What ever happened to a conflict check prior to advising clients adverse to one another who both used to be co-clients??? I advise anyone contemplating hiring this attorney, or her associate Robert Johnson Jr., to be very wary. My opinion is that they are not trustworthy and if I could give a minus 10 score here I would.
