After years of working with different attorneys for my company, I found Brian Weinberger to be the most experienced, hard working, and professional in the Phoenix area. In addition, Brian is by far the best litigator I’ve seen. Brian represented my company in a partnership dispute with an aggressive, proactive strategy and was prepared for anything that was thrown our way. After 2+ years, the case ended in a favorable result for me and my company. When it comes to contract disputes, commercial litigation, and corporate law, I can’t recommend Brian Weinberger enough. Hire Brian and trust him to do what he does best.

I got deceived by Brian's overwhelming positive google reviews. I wish I did more research before hiring him such as looking him up at the Arizona Bar Association. He has a history of being in trouble with the bar association and was put on probation. Source: https://azbar.legalserviceslink.com/ and search for his name. I paid a huge flat fee to Brian to take care of everything. Filing ligation and get the money if won. Once I paid him everything he barely responded to any of my emails or calls. It took him on average from 2 weeks to months (with constant calling and emailing) to respond. When he does respond, he would only answer the question he wants and avoiding most of the questions I asked. For instance, I would ask him 5 questions and he'll answer 1 or 2 questions and ignore the rest; even when I resend those questions again he continued to choose not to answer. It took him nearly a year to file a simple ligation. Fortunately, we won the ligation by default because the other party didn't respond. When its time to collect money; he showed me no attempt at collecting money. I even had to request him to place liens on the properties of the people I sue before they filed bankruptcy and to secure the money I won from judgment. I even had to do my own research (which should be his job) and tract down all the properties (which he does not know how to do) so that he can put liens on. I emailed him all the properties to put liens on. It's been around 6-8 months now and he still has NOT filed the lien for me; therefore jeopardizing my chance of ever going to be able to collect money. It has been two years of constant frustration with Brian, therefore I highly do NOT recommend him. Please save yourself from frustration. If you do hire him, please do not pay everything outright since based on my experience, he neglected me once he took all my money.

I hired Mr. Martinez to help me in an estate issue. He charged me $500 for a demand letter. I was satisfied with the letter, but we didn't get the response from the other party that we needed and so we needed to move forward. He told me to set up and prepay for a phone consultation, which I did. The consultation was to determine next steps and if we should proceed. We decided to proceed. After the call he informed me that his schedule was busy for the next month and we would proceed the next month. I waited patiently, then emailed him/called and didnt hear back. He finally reached out to me a few weeks later to tell me that he was too busy for my case. I feel mislead and never would have spent the additional $275 for a call to discuss next options. His response was that he had answered an additional email prior to the call. I spent almost $800 to bring Mr. Martinez up to speed on my case only to have to do it again with another lawyer. His point was that I was satisfied with the results of the call, so I got what I paid for. I was only satisfied with the call because we had agreed to proceed. Had I known he was too busy to take the case, I never would have proceeded with the first demand letter. I assumed part of the $500 was for him to be come familiar with the case. I am very disappointed with his lack of professionalism. There were a few red flags, that I shouldn't have ignored.

We dealt with Mr Martinez for 3 years on a real estate contract between relatives. His patience and professionalism in handling this fiasco was beyond reproach considering opposing counsel and his client were anything but cooperative or professional. Not only did he keep us informed, but listened to our concerns, answered our never ending questions and met me at the airport when I had to come to AZ to take possession of the property. Without him I know this mess would not have finally been settled. I would highly recommend Mr Martinez to anyone wanting to deal with an attorney who will work hard for you and not look at a client as a dollar sign.

Andrew and his team are very professional. He came highly recommended by several top doctors in Arizona. His team was very thorough and gives you a great estate planning product in the end. This is his area of expertise and you don't have to have millions to get a well planned estate. Great attorney who knows trust and wills!

My wife and I hired Adam for an equine fraud case and were extremely disappointed in the entire experience. He originally led us to believe our case was stronger than he later admitted it was and this led to us hiring him. We spent over 13,000 to get no money back because he really doesn’t have very good negotiating skills. The fee padding was so over the top he had another attorney being billed and his paralegal as well to the tune of so many hours more than is reasonable or necessary and we would never ever use Adam or this firm again.

I have hired Mr. Dergo on multiple occasions to provide and review documents for my business. As an entrepreneur one needs to have sound legal documents for protection and to conduct business. Further, when entering into contracts, you definitely need a lawyer looking out for one's interests. Michael Dergo has provided me with excellent products and reviews for many years. He's a trusted partner I can always count on to protect my business interests. He's highly knowledgeable, ethical and his fees were refreshingly reasonable (as lawyer prices go)!

This attorney has NO ethics. During his felony/misdemeanor probation he egregiously violated attorney/client privilege and misrepresented facts in his testimony against a client. He boosts of his law offices and most are offices of his clients including a collections agency in Illinois. Coincidence ????? Within 30 days of his deceitful testimony against a client he petitioned the Court to terminate or modify his probation. Reward???? In my limited research of this guy, all he does in loose.

I hired this attorney in 2013 to help with my bankruptcy case. At the time I was going through a lot of difficult and stressful matters. I had told her that I only has my personal home left and that I wanted to know if it was protected by this bankruptcy. She said yes and not to worry. Now today is 2022, 9 yrs later I found out that one of the creditor had placed a lien on my home prior to the bankruptcy. So she did not do her due diligence on my property back then. When I called to help to get this lien off my properties, now I owned two homes. She told me that she is unable to help because she claimed that it is a new matter. She asked me to obtain another bankruptcy attorney. When I went to meet with another attorney he said that she should have taken it and reopen the case and then file a complaint and request it to be removed. As an attorney she need and should have stood by her work instead she turned away from the problem that she should have avoided in 2013. I do not recommend this attorney to anyone because she has no integrity and accountability for her workmanship.

Perhaps Mr.Dolasinski and myself had a misunderstanding of what our needs were regarding our original trust. I was probably a little to critical of Mr. Dolasinski. Mr. Dolasinski wrote me back explaining what needed to be done. After reviewing his notes I do believe his assessment of what the actual cost would be are still to high. I would think since he is the individual who wrote our trust we would be give some consideration on the actual cost. The Health Care Power of Attorney and the Financial Power of Attorney In my estimation, to have his para legal do this work still would not require the amount of time he suggested. There still is only a couple of lines to be changed on these documents. In my opinion, I could see no more than 3 hours or less to perform these changes. I believe the total cost should be 3 hours or less. The top end of the actual cost should be $750 or less. Mr. Dolasinski is a capable professional and my review should not prevent clients from hiring him as a Trust Attorney. I am optimistic that we can come to a reasonable solution to take care of our trust.

Stanley is very quick to tell his story but has a problem with listening. Suggests that business owners pay 3% commission in case the retail outlet won’t give him enough money. Never heard that in 30 years. He brags about losing a lot of weight (congrats) and he makes certain you know he’s not just a commercial broker, but a CPA and a lawyer. ? Why is that relevant Stanley? Then, knowing I wouldn’t sign his ridiculous offer, sends a note of rejection. No sir, you were rejected far before you sent that note. Ego check much Stanley?

Unfortunately, I would not recommend hiring Ivy L. Kushner for your Family Law case. This past year was by far the most difficult and demanding year of my life. I hired Ms. Kushner to represent me in a custody case that I was subjected to. From day one Ms. Kushner appeared to be professional, compassionate and trustworthy. She listened to my case details and appeared to have a real understanding of what I would be up against. She also took the initiative to come to my house for our initial consultation. After a few weeks, and once the retainer fee had been cleared, it was clear to me that her only interest was to settle the case and not provide services that was in the best interest for me and my daughter. During the original conference, the topic of back child support came up. As I had already provided her with the calculations and breakdown of how much was owed, she was more than aware that back child support was due. When the topic was brought up in the meeting, she asked my ex and his attorney to leave the room. She then turned to me and said, “sit down, and shut up.” I am still in disbelief of the lack of professionalism displayed from that comment. Those words have stuck with me to this day. It made an already difficult situation that much worse. I was extremely open with her about the domestic abuse that occurred throughout the relationship, which ultimately left me with no choice but to move my daughter and myself out of the toxic environment. However, she completely disregarded it. With this understanding, greater detail should have been put into place to protect not only myself, but my daughter as well. Due to the abundance of mistakes throughout the document and severe lack of attention to detail, it not only has caused significant issues, but the financial burden it has caused in order to fix the document is incomparable. I felt forced to sign a document that I clearly was not comfortable with. I presented Ms. Kushner with a red line document highlighting everything that I did not agree to. Rather than taking the time to address my concerns, it was clear the main objective was to close the case and move on. I understand there is an emotional barrier that occurs over the years in this profession, however the outcome not only effect the next 13 years of my daughter’s life, it effects my life every single day. I do not believe she had our best interest in mind. I am now finding myself going through this extremely difficult and stressful situation once again to correct the mistakes. I hired Ms. Kushner because I do not know the law and needed guidance on the legal aspects of my case. I hold a high level of expectation for someone with her level of experience, both ethically and professionally – I feel as though I did not receive either. I just wanted to take a moment to provide feedback from my experience because I do not want this to happen to another single mom.

What a Business Lawyer Can Do for You

A business lawyer provides critical legal guidance and support to entrepreneurs, startups, and established businesses. Whether you are forming a new company, drafting contracts, or navigating complex regulations, a business attorney ensures you are legally protected and operating within the law. They can also help prevent legal disputes or represent you in negotiations, transactions, or lawsuits that arise during the course of business operations.

Business lawyers have expertise in areas such as business formation, contract law, intellectual property, employment law, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. They ensure that your business is compliant with relevant laws and help mitigate risks that could threaten your company's success.

When Should I Hire a Business Lawyer?

Hiring a business lawyer is essential at various stages of business development, including:

  • Forming a business: When deciding on the best structure for your company (LLC, corporation, partnership, etc.), a lawyer can guide you through the registration and compliance process.
  • Drafting contracts: If you need contracts for employees, partners, suppliers, or clients, a lawyer ensures these documents are legally sound and in your best interest.
  • Mergers, acquisitions, or dissolutions: If you are buying, selling, or dissolving a company, legal counsel is critical to avoid costly mistakes.
  • Compliance and regulatory issues: A lawyer can help navigate complex regulations, particularly in industries like healthcare, finance, or tech.
  • Resolving disputes: Whether it's contract disagreements, intellectual property infringement, or employment issues, a business lawyer helps mediate, negotiate, or litigate on your behalf.

What Does a Business Lawyer Do?

Business lawyers provide a wide range of services that cater to different legal needs of a business. They can:

  • Help you choose the best legal structure for your business.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with employees, suppliers, customers, or business partners.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Advise on tax strategies to minimize your business's tax burden.
  • Assist with intellectual property protection, such as trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
  • Handle mergers, acquisitions, and business sales, ensuring all legal paperwork is in order.
  • Resolve disputes through negotiation, arbitration, or litigation.

How Are Business Lawyers Paid?

Business lawyers typically charge either by the hour or on a flat-fee basis, depending on the complexity of the work. Common payment structures include:

  • Hourly rates: The lawyer charges based on the time spent working on your case. Rates vary depending on the lawyer's experience and location.
  • Flat fees: For certain tasks, such as incorporating a business or drafting a standard contract, a lawyer may offer a flat fee.
  • Retainer: Some businesses may hire a lawyer on retainer, paying a fixed amount each month to have ongoing access to legal services.

The payment structure is often discussed during an initial consultation so you can choose the one that best suits your business needs and budget.

How Much Does a Business Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a business lawyer depends on factors such as:

  • The complexity of the legal issue: More complex matters, like mergers or intellectual property disputes, typically cost more than routine tasks like contract drafting.
  • The lawyer's experience and location: More experienced lawyers or those in larger cities often charge higher fees.
  • The nature of the billing arrangement: Hourly rates can range from $150 to $1,000 or more, depending on the lawyer's expertise. Flat fees are usually available for simpler matters like forming an LLC or drafting a standard contract.

It's essential to discuss fee structures upfront to avoid surprises.

How to Check the Credibility of a Business Lawyer

To ensure you're hiring a reputable business lawyer:

  • Check state bar association records: Verify that the lawyer is in good standing and has no disciplinary actions against them.
  • Look for client reviews or testimonials: Online reviews, testimonials, or word of mouth from other business owners can provide insight into the lawyer's reliability and effectiveness.
  • Ask for references: A credible lawyer should have satisfied clients who can vouch for their services.
  • Check professional memberships: Membership in respected legal organizations (such as the American Bar Association or a local business lawyer association) can signal credibility.
  • Review their website and professional profile: A well-established lawyer typically has a professional website showcasing their areas of expertise, credentials, and case success.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most out of your first consultation with a business lawyer, prepare the following:

  • A description of your business and its structure: This will help the lawyer understand your legal needs.
  • Any current contracts or agreements: If you're seeking contract advice, bring copies of existing contracts.
  • A list of legal issues or concerns: Be ready to discuss any potential legal challenges, such as regulatory compliance, disputes, or transactions.
  • Financial documents: If applicable, bring financial records related to the legal matter you're seeking help with.
  • Questions about fees and billing: Ensure you understand the lawyer’s payment structure and fees upfront.

By preparing these materials, you can ensure that your first meeting with a business lawyer is productive and informative.
