I have owned a medical supply company for 30 years. During my career I have had my share of dealing with attorneys. Some try to impress with their knowledge(talk to much), some speak in legalese which I have trouble understanding and some I am still trying to figure out how they do their billing.

I believe that Chase took our case seriously and expended sufficient effort and time to win. His expertise in these matters was evident as demonstrated by his approach to ascertaining the facts, employing consultants that were reported to be experts in their respective areas, and his willingness to answer our questions and explain the law in layman's terms.
Upon retrospect and non-emotional reflection, I do regret agreeing to the settlement despite Chase's recommendation.

Very helpful and professional all around the office just needs a more friendly receptionist the lady doesn’t even let you get up to counter before she starts shouting questions like she never saw a black face walking in front door or something bad happened in the past to her. A nice person while entering a business would help.

HEATHER LONG formerly from the KCRP&O firm….
THROUGHOUT THIS (2019-2022) BATTLE, Heather Long, my legal representative called me a liar the entire time, even with medical evidence of substantial damage. Heather and her team wore me out just as much as the defense. Also, just before settling, I WAS ENLIGHTENED BY HEATHER, THAT WORKERS COMPENSATION ATTORNEYS GET PAID FROM DOL, SO DO NOT EXPECT TO FILE A CLAIM AGAINST DOL OR OSHA THROUGH A WORK COMP CLAIM. I believe Heather Long protects the DOL and the De. corporations. I also believe Heather and the defense attorney, Andrew Carmine, were negotiating my case to benefit themselves and DOL, not to benefit the now permanently disabled client (me), that suffered lifelong damages from an incident at Alutech United,Inc.(a Delaware corporation).
Upon settlement of a 3yrs battle, I was encouraged by Heather and her team to sign papers that stated that the defense/corporation accepts no responsibility of the injuries that were proven by highly qualified medical expert opinion to be suffered from the (2018)incident. They also put some of my total settlement in a MSA (Medicare set-aside account) that was supposed to be for future treatment, and the account holders will not consent to the recommended treatment. That was $26,000. that was taken from my settlement that I’ll probably never see or be permitted to use. Now SSA(your tax $) is paying me a monthly salary that I used to make in 5days. My case should’ve went to the Supreme Court but Heather Long said that Workers Compensation does not go further than the DOL’s Industrial Accident Board, which I learned recently is a flat out lie!!! I had legal grounds to sue OSHA(derelict of duty), the DOL(derelict of duty), and the Alutech United,Inc. corporation(Permanent physical damages/Perjury, etc.) but with Heather Long, I could only pursue my lawsuit against Genex Westfield Insurance, Alutech United Inc.’s policyholder.
I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND A DIFFERENT LAWYER AND PLEASE NOTE THAT MOST OF THE DELAWARE LAW FIRMS PROTECT EACH OTHER SO IF YOUR CASE IS IN DELAWARE, FIND A ‘PITBULL’ ATTORNEY IN ANOTHER STATE THAT IS DEL. WORK. COMP. CERTIFIED!! I know this because when I would call another attorney for a second opinion on my concerns, that attorney would call Heather and let her know I was asking questions.

Heather is simply an amazing lawyer!! My accident left me with a brain injury. I knew I needed help. I struggled talking, my eyes were super sensitive to light and noises were a struggle to deal with. On the first day, her words of confidence that she would take care of all the medical bills and that I just needed to focus on healing were words of an angel. She was excellent with literally everything. A good listener, a good communicator, always kept me in the loop. Then with all the legal stuff, well, just amazing how well she took care of me. Hired this law firm in 2004, David Ardnt came to my house after having an auto accident. He said this was a great case worth over $400,000 dollars, they settled at $52K enough to reimburse my tools and I'm a cripple for life! Would not recommend!

Years ago my husband and I went to Gary Smith regarding filing for my husband's Soc.Sec. Disability due to Parkinson's. Not only did Mr. Smith handle the case with expedience, but refunded almost the entire retainer paid because he said it did not require the time and effort he thought it would. When do hear of an attorney refunding you payment??? Since that time, we trusted Gary to do our Wills, POA papers and other matters. When we went to Gary regarding an investigation of an accident and death of a family member, he was very supportive and helped us find closure in a difficult case. If you are looking for a flashy high powered attorney that throws around jargon to purposely intimidate you ,then Gary Smith is not the lawyer you want. On the other hand , if you are in need of an attorney that explains and represents you openly and honestly, then I highly recommend Gary L. Smith.

Don't waste your money with this guy. You might think I'm writing this referral because I didn't get the verdict I was looking for but Mr. Gary Smith did not even make it to the final hearing date. I gave Gary Smith $2,500 to help me with an case that involved the safety and well being of my Six year old daughter. Her Mother's new boyfriend was domestically violent and my daughter had witnessed it. The day before the first hearing Gary Smith demanded (pretty much held me ransom) and said if you don't deliver me $2,500 more before the hearing I cannot help you. My wife and I got together the last $2,500 dollars we had and delivered it to Gary Smith in time. During the hearing he was completely useless, my Judge even saying one time, "I was waiting for you to jump in Mr. Smith." after he failed to object to multiple lines of questioning that were in violation of court rules. So after his complete failure at our first hearing, showing that he did absolutely zero home work and was extremely ill prepared for the hearing that day, we began to question his ability to assist us. Meanwhile the case was extended and nothing was done on that day. I wrote an E-mail to Mr. Gary Smith explaining that I was upset with how he was handling the case. I was not offensive, rude, or ignorant. I kept the E-mail's tone very professional focusing on the fact that my daughters safety was at risk. Gary Smith replied by dropping me as a client, not submitting a bill to me, and keeping all of my money. I got an E-mail response from him stating he could not handle my case anymore and then filed to be removed as my counsel. So months later I was left unprepared, unrepresented, and missing $5,000 from our saving. Do Not waste your money with the laziest and most unprofessional lawyer I have ever met.
