My company was downsizing and as a senior employee at retirement age, I lost my job. Mr Dorsey and his team helped dig me out of the messy trench my last 2 lawyers had left me in. I can’t begin to explain how bad my first few lawyers had screwed up my case and made me look bad against an abusive drug addict narcissist who could charm the pant suit off Hilary Clinton. Mr Dorsey took on my case and for the first time I actually felt like I could trust my lawyer. Unlike my last attorney who charged me an insane amount of money to screw me over, Mr Dorsey gave me a free consultation and always charged me honestly and fairly. He gave me his personal cell number for emergencies and him and his team were always very responsive to my calls and emails. He fought tooth and nail against one of the most dishonest and corrupt opposing councils I have ever seen! He is well known and honored around Jacksonville and St Augustine by many other esteemed lawyers and judges.
If you are in need of a good, honest attorney who will fight for you as if you were his own family, you need to hire Bill Dorsey and his team. He is tough and does not give up. Believe me, I probably had the largest case file he had ever taken on in a civil case and he took the time to go over all of it so he didn’t miss a thing. No one really wants to go through any family/custody battles. So when I was faced with this issues I had no choice but to retain an attorney. After numerous hours/days of research I found the Dorsey Law Firm.
I came to Mr. Dorsey with a lot of uncertainty with my impending custody case. During my consultation Mr. Dorsey was fully tuned in and very attentive. He answered every question I had very confidently. After I retained Mr. Dorsey, his team and himself started working on the case promptly. They filed an emergency motion and was able to get a hearing for temporary custody within a few weeks. I was granted temporary custody until the outcome of the final hearing.
In Preparation for the final hearing Mr. Dorsey and the team were with me every step of the way. They reassured me of the potential outcome, instilled confidence in myself and the direction of the case. During the final hearing Mr. Dorsey was very thorough, firm, and fully prepared. His cross examination skills, rebuttals, presentation, and delivery was superb.
As a result, I was grant 75% percent of time sharing. I have never felt better and once again I was stress free.

I came to John Phillips office with little or no hope that I could prove my innocence or survive the alligations against me, I didn't think I would survive emotionally what myself and family were being put through. John along with Reid Hart listen to my story, they explained to me what they could do help me,and how they would go about helping me.My family and I felt so much better about my case and my chances of clearing my name after my conversation with John Phillips, and Ried Hart. After my car accident I went to one of the TV lawyers. I had trouble getting answers to my questions. I never really got to talk to my lawyer and they really didn't seem interested in helping me. It seemed like they were too busy and my case didn't seem to matter to them, like I was just one of their many files. I finally got frustrated enough that I wanted to get a new lawyer. A friend told me I should call Ken Howell, the lawyer who had helped him. so I did. Things were different with Ken. He seemed to really care about his clients, he explains everything and he really wants to help his clients. There was a big difference in the service he provided . Ken is not like the TV lawyers.

Unfortunately, I have had two car accidents in the past several years and neither one was my fault. Ken Howell was my lawyer for both accidents. Two reasons I came back to Ken Howell again for the second accident were because Ken really cares about helping you and Ken works really hard on your case. He is not like what you might expect a lawyer to be, he is actually very easy to talk to and very down to earth. I have recommended Ken several times to people who have had car accidents.

In 2009, I went through a divorce after being married for 14 years to my high school sweetheart. I was devastated to find out that my husband was having an affair and that his mistress was moving from Boston to Jacksonville in less than 2 weeks. A friend of mine advised that I call her attorney, Garrett Barket, and I am so glad that I did!
From the moment I walked into the office, Garrett and his paralegal, Jan, did whatever they could to put me at ease. I think of them as the "dynamic duo." They knew that I was scared, devastated and had no idea what was going to happen to me or my kids. Garrett treated me with respect and was beyond caring. Jan was always available for questions and Garrett was always prompt to reply when I needed to be in touch with him. He knew the law and was honest about what could happen and did not give me any false expectations.
I met with several other "top" attorneys in town who were either not professional or treated me as if I was just a number. One of them even hinted that he would like to go on a date! When I met Garrett, I was impressed with his knowledge of the law and how respectful he was. He made me feel confident that he would defend my rights to the best of his abilities. After a five and a half long years and an exhausting trial, I should be going straight to bed. However, it is more important to me right now to offer my endorsement of Mr. Block. If you want an attorney who can wax poetic and throw a knockout punch at the same time, look no further. This man knows when to be tough and when to be eloquent. From what I observed, it is a very tough line to toe, but for Mr. Block, it seemed effortless. Although, I know that it wasn't. Simply put, David Black is among the very best in North Florida at his work. I was the victim in a rear end auto collision that caused significant and permanent damage to my spine, and suffered chronic and serious injuries as a result. I initially went to another firm that is very well know, and the two experiences couldn't be more different. While the other firm was very friendly and available during the initial sign up, everything changed once I was a client. The attorney who represented me felt a phone meeting was sufficient for our first consult instead of a face to face, and I only spoke with him personally twice over a period of nearly two years as a result. The entire time my case languished (unknown to me as I was solely focused on my recovery) and I was constantly ignored, call backs were always from a different aid at best, and they insisted I would have surgery to correct the issue if I ever wanted a significant recovery, or else the case was worth very little, despite major and devastating injuries. Eventually I tired of the disfunction and began searching for a new attorney. I came across David after researching many firms carefully, and once he agreed to meet with me face to face to go over my case (without any signed client agreement yet), upon meeting him I know he was the right fit immediately. Within approximately 9 months David was able to successfully negotiate a settlement with both my and the at fault driver's insurance, out of court and without ever filing a lawsuit for the policy limits of both. Throughout the entire process he was always available, responded to multiple emails in the same day, and navigated multiple complexities due to specific factors of my case with grace and ease. Humble, intelligent, and warrior are words that cross my mind when I think of David Black. He is as easy to talk to as another shopper in a grocery store, and highly efficient.
