Mr Karen recently handled my personal injury case. He is exceptionally professional, extremely thorough, and through the whole process I felt he truly worked towards my best interest. I consulted and hired Donald Kudler. Donald spent a good amount of time and effort securing records and wrestling with the courts to grant requests for the records. I was elated Donald would help our family. However, after review of the records received, Donald sent me a letter by mail and withdrew from the case. When I called Donalds office with questions regarding the evaluation of the records and\or detailed explanation of what he discovered in medical records, Donald did not return my call. So, I left messages with his legal assistant and e-mailed Donald my legal questions. To date I have not received a personal phone call, explanation and/or answers to my questions. I am very disappointed.

On the evening of September 24, 2023, at 6:15 p.m. I was driving to my work as a night shift nurse at UMC as I have done 100’s of times before. I was traveling from my home in Henderson north on the 95 freeway to exit at MLK Blvd. At the 95/MLK off ramp I waited for the light to turn green then turned left onto MLK. I was then T-Boned by another vehicle traveling south on MLK that ran the red light. The full front of his car had severe damage. The right side of my car had moderate damage but was undriveable due to damage to the right front wheel. I got out of my vehicle and approached the vehicle that struck me. He appeared to be intoxicated. He was attempting to leave and was speaking to me in Spanish. Then in English he told me “We go, no police.” I called 911 and a brief time later an NHP officer arrived. He took my statement and called for a Spanish speaking officer to come and speak to the other driver. A Spanish speaking officer arrived and spoke to the other driver. The NHP officer gave me a report number. At this time, a friend or family member of the second driver arrived. They did a little work to his car then drove away. I could not drive my car due to the damage. My husband arrived and called AAA to have our car towed. Once my Adrenaline, calmed down my back and shoulder were hurting, and I went to the St. Rose De Lima Emergency Room from the accident scene where they performed a CT scan, X-Rays, and prescribed pain killers. I went home and rested and lost five days of work. I went to St. Rose Physical Therapy for 23 visits over a three month period and had three follow up doctors’ visits. Our car had $3745.40 worth of damage and was repaired by Frank’s Auto Body. We paid a deductible of $500.00.
I was hit by a driver who was a Mexican citizen with a Mexican driver’s license. He was driving a car rented in Mexico. He had an insurance policy for the rental car with an office located in California.
We contacted the Ed Bernstein Law Office the day after the accident because they have an office near our home. We provided them with the police report, photos, road maps, etc. They contacted the insurance company of the other driver and told us at first they were not responding then later told us they refused liability as their driver claimed I had run the light and his was green, which was not true. He hit me, he had severe front-end damage, his speed was fast enough that his air bags were deployed, my damage was on the passenger side. There were no witnesses, and the police report did not indicate who was at fault since neither officer witnessed the accident. Our insurance company, USAA, after their investigation declared we were not at fault.
After six months the Ed Bernstein law firm informed us they were dropping the case as there were no witnesses and declared it to be a He said/She said case that they could not win. We disagree as the relative damage to each vehicle clearly shows the other driver hit me. I feel the Ed Bernstein Law Office gave up too easily without fighting for me. It took a month from the time of the telephone call informing us that they were dropping the case to when we received the certified letter dropping the case so I could proceed with another law firm.

Mr Hornbeck and his Secretary are down to earth and approachable. I hired Mr Hornbeck to represent me for a moving violation. He was forthright about his fees, the time it would take, and how payment would be received and processed. When it came time to go to trial he exceeded my expectations, fighting hard for me. Don’t think this is a 5 star rating because he won my case. I would still have given him the same even if the judge ruled against me. I would highly recommend Mr Hornbeck, and should I ever need his services again I wouldn’t think twice about hiring him. If you hold a CDL and find yourself needing a lawyer who will fight hard for you, look no further.

My boyfriend hired him to quash a warrant and defend him in a domestic violence case. He made him show up to court with him only to have to go to jail to get the warrant quashed! and he had an outstanding warrant he didnt even know about , the next day the lawyer is emailing him very rudely about paying him another few thousand dollars and his case is very serious. This guy cant be trusted. I never write reviews but felt the need i should write one now to warn people about this guy. he is horrible! you want a great lawyer? call buchanan! he is the best!

I had signed up for a “free” consultation from Sean in hopes of finding a good lawyer. I told him about my financial situation and how I am looking around for one, very rudely after hearing my financial situation he snarky says “Well then why are you calling me?” Without knowing I have money ready to put down for a lawyer. Immediately I didn’t want to hire him, but continued the “consultation” to see what his advice was, he offered me no advice because he hung up abruptly without even saying anything else. Very rude and money greedy. Stay away from this lawyer.

This firm is a money grab. They will charge you$210 for a 2 minute consultation to tell you something you already knew. Quote you at one price then when it’s time to do business they will quadruple the price. In my case they originally quoted me $1000 to get one misdemeanor sealed on my record then when I came back with the paperwork they asked for they told me it would be $4,000. Never refunded my $210. Stay far away from this firm they will rob you.

The Harris law firm optimizes every stereotype of horrible attorneys. They do not in my experience care about their image, they have a media machine insuring they have fresh new clients to squeeze dry in perpetuity so why bother to even pretend beyond the first meeting to get you to sign them up, that you even matter. As far as I can tell their game plan is to ignore you till, they can't, then tell you whatever they need to get you to leave them to their other more important clients. In the end, they took every penny they could justify, the attorney not even having the decency to actually meet me in person for the final signature, instead choosing to have the clerk who had been fielding complaints finish it up and send us on our way. If you hire Harris Law Firm, you will regret it.

If he cannot collect from the person you are persuing, he will go after you and yours to get the almighty dollar. This guy is the worst of the worst.
