I was injured in a car accident, and I hired a lawyer without any research or knowledge of what to even look for. The experience was terrible, to say the least. I got false information, lost money I didn’t have and wasted a lot of time with a lot of added stress because I couldn’t get any answers or help. I was lucky enough to know someone else who was already going through the legal process with Attorney David Eder. My conversation with them is what also made me realize I was completely with the wrong firm. I was grateful my case hadn’t already closed and reached out to David. He spent time with me on the phone and in person walking me through everything and answering questions so simply, questions I had been asking the old attorney for the last 1.5yrs! So I switched over to David Eder. David and his partners (Ben Eder, Joel Sturm and Andrew Gust) took over my case and got everything in order. They were able to get the case out of a frozen position into double limits and my health insurance bills were waived. The difference between the first firm and these guys was night and day. I was involved in a car crash. I was referred to David Eder and his team. David and his partners were able to review my records and position my case with the negligent driver’s insurance carrier as well as my own. They were even able to get my PIP liens waived as part of the whole process. The lawyers stay in regular contact and their hard work gets results. Highly recommended David Eder and his great team.

I was injured on a charity motorcycle ride. I was severely injured. I underwent multiple surgeries. I was close to death many times. I was on life support. I lived in the hospital and a rehab facility for awhile. I could barely move. I had multiple surgeries. After the first few surgeries I had multiple boxes of multiple reams of paper from the medical records of this event. I tried to handle my claim myself because the total limit amounts were far less then my damages. The insurance companies were trying to get over on me. It took weeks to summon enough energy to call and deal with the insurance people and the claim process. After getting the run around from the insurance companies I had thoroughly researched the top lawyers in Oregon. I contacted most of these super lawyers and lawyers with prestigious accolades who are considered the best. For the most part they treated my situation as just another case. I came across Travis Mayor who is also a Super Lawyer with many prestigious accolades as well. I called the office of Travis Mayor and spoke with his kind receptionist. She informed me that Travis was on vacation. A few minute later I received a call from Travis in Hawaii! He cares that much about his clients that he called me from Hawaii while he was with his family. I told him my situation and out of kindness and compassion he said this total limit amount of money would in no way be fair to you. So Travis offered me an EXTREMELY low flat fee out of the kindness of his own heart. He truly cared about me and my situation. After all the pain it was a blessing to come across a man who truly cared. Once Travis took over I was able to focus on recovering. Travis was extremely easy to contact and in most cases got back to me before I could get back to him. He kept me updated and presented everything to me in a direct and clear manner. He outlined the choices I could make and he let me have full control over the decisions of the case while guiding me throughout the process effortlessly. Travis got the limit amounts from both insurance companies. He negotiated my bills down extremely low. And he also searched every possible outlet for further money. Travis went above and beyond and he did it all like a champion with no sweat. Travis is the best lawyer I could have gotten not just in Oregon but anywhere in the globe. I do not think Travis could have done anything better. Travis performed at 1000% and went above and beyond for me and not for money but out of care for my situation. I was rear ended in a motor vehicle accident in December of 2021 and suffered a neck injury. I tried months of physical therapy and eventually connected with Joel Sturm and TUE. I can not even begin to describe the level of effort and concern they put into my case. Joel was present at doctors appointments, he constantly checked on me. The thing he said over and over was "Let's get it fixed, we can worry about other stuff later." The decision to eventually undergo surgery was left to me, and what I thought was best with the advice of the doctors. There was no talk of money and no pressure to settle the claim quickly. It eventually concluded in November of 2023. When it came time to take care of things Joel did an AMAZING job. I just stayed out of his way and let him use his expertise. When he called me to tell me what the settlement was, I didn't believe him. I thought he was pulling my leg. I made him repeat it three times. The job that Joel and TUE did was incredible. I wish the accident had not happened because of the pain and suffering that it caused. Even with physical rehab and surgery I am going to have some soreness and stiffness in my neck for the rest of my life, but because of the accident I met Joel and I am so grateful to him because he worked so hard to represent me and my interests. It was a blessing that I got connected with Joel and TUE.

My husband and I hired Jason after my husband was in a bad car accident. Jason was fantastic through the long process of getting my husband the proper compensation for his current and future losses, he was educated and seemed to genuinely have my husbands and my best interest at heart. He was always more than willing to answer any and all questions and he made sure that we understood what was happening throughout the case. He was willing to make any necessary accommodations to help ease my husbands discomfort and he would also check in to see how my husband was doing. I have been a trial attorney for over fifteen years. When I was injured in a car wreck, I looked carefully for an injury attorney who: a) would take away all of the hassle and stress of personally having to deal with claims adjusters and opposing counsel; b) would not only keep me informed on a regular basis of the status of my case, but proactively make sure I was doing all the things I needed to do on time; c) knew Personally Injury law thoroughly -- both substantively and with demonstrated litigation experience -- from the claims stage all the way through courtroom litigation; and, d) MOST IMPORTANTLY, one who was not afraid to seek the best possible outcome in my case aggressively. (I have been around enough attorneys to know that many are either afraid of litigation/trial, or they want to take the first or second counter offer from the other side because it's quick money in the bank.)
Elizabeth exceeded my expectations on all four of my requirements. I consider myself to be pretty on the ball with my to-do checklists, but sometimes when I slacked on sending in treatment reports to the firm, for example, she would email me personally reminding me to get a, b, or c done, and would also update me with that status of the case/negotiation so I always understood exactly where things were.
In addition, on our second settlement obtained (the UIM claim), Elizabeth was actually confident that she could get the other side to an even better number than she'd already negotiated. It was me who let her know that I trusted that she could, but that just for my peace of mind I wanted to settle at the good enough number she already obtained and move on with my life. She would have kept fighting, though, and with confidence.
I know another attorney who also retained her and came away also completely pleased with the communication and with the outcome.

I retained Matt for a slip & fall injury because the insurance company was not working with me. After Matt took my claim over I did not have to do anything. Matt did all the calling, negotiating, and because of his due diligence I received a larger settlement than I thought I was gonna receive. I retained Matt Rizzo twice for two auto accident claims. Matt's communication and service to his clients are second-to-none. He always kept me informed about my case. We met a few times before going into depositions and I really felt like he cared about me, my injuries and fighting for my compensation. He always had a plan. Because of Matt, I received a way larger settlement than I could've even imagined. The insurance company low-balled me and they're the ones who are supposed to care about you! Our daughter was hit by a car and killed while in a crosswalk. We were fortunate to find Josh to take our case. I could not imagine a more effective attorney. Josh took on all of the details of our case. He recommended a highly competent probate attorney to handle the details of our daughter's estate. We first consulted with Mr. Bruce Bottini in June 2016 as a result of an accident that involved my husband Mitch, and an out of state truck driver. We were unsuccessful at contacting the truck drivers insurance company. My husband required two cervical surgeries and was unable to work for about two months. We had several hundred thousands in medical bills and had exhausted our own insurance. The truck driver was uncooperative and we needed legal representation. Mr Bottini was excellent. After meeting with us in his office, he met us about a week later in the town at the scene of the accident. He brought an accident reconstructionist to verify the general facts, and then spoke with several "witnesses" later that day and the next. It took 3 years to arbitrate this situation, however in that time, he was able to prevent collections from harrassing us, and he brought in an additional lawyer at no cost to us who specialized in trucking cases. That lawyers name is Tim Williams and he is located in Bend, Oregon. The two lawyers worked in tandem to ensure our case was in solid position to be presented in court and at an arbitration. The arbitration was ultimately successful and we felt that we were in excellent hands through the entire process. We felt very fortunate to have both Mr. Bottini and Mr. Williams representing us throughout the entire time. We were very pleased with the outcome and can confidently recommend both Mr. Bottini and Mr. Williams as excellent lawyers that were prepared to take on any situation that could arise in the course of a litigation.

I had been in a bicycle accident and chose to handle the claim without hiring a lawyer. Everything went smoothly until I was settling the claim some time later. I received a letter with language and twisting legal terminology I didn't quite understand and wasn't confident signing. I called several layers who would only agree to take on an entire case when all I need was consultation for this one aspect of the claim. I found Charlie online, gave him a call, and he reviewed the letter via email at no charge even though I was willing to pay. Charlie assured me the letter was okay and pointed out a few details I should aware of. This enabled me to settle with peace of mind. Pretty amazing. I was visiting the United States and was injured by a car while cycling. Charley and his staff were wonderful at helping me to navigate the complicated American health care and payments system, as well as arranging for every provider to get their appropriate amount.
Charley also provided extra services, like picking up my broken bike and driving it to a shop for evaluation when I was too injured to do so myself.
All in all, Charley was professional, helpful, and respectful in every way, and his staff were great at communicating and helping with all the bureaucracy involved in healthcare and insurance following a serious injury.

I hired David to defend a contested restraining order that I had petitioned on an abusive person in my life, successfully. I had spoken with several offices prior to our initial phone call. Some wanted me to put down a substantial retainer before I even got to speak with one of their lawyers, some seemed eager to have me pay a relatively inexpensive rate for a quick sale on a newer/inexperienced attorney, and some needed to charge me a few hundred for the initial consultation. A couple of others gave me a free consultation but it didnt seem that they had a niche in the particular type of restraining order I had petitioned. While I respect that there are myriad business models out there, David's appealed to me because his initial consultation was free to hear me out (before I knew that I wanted to hire him), he immediately spoke with competence and wisdom regarding the particulars of my case, and his "flat fee" model was unique and attractive. His price seemed fair in the end (I could have spent less, I could have spent more) but was well justified by his experience. The fact that this case may have been dragged out into additional hours was eased by me knowing that I would never be charged for anything extra regardless of how long it took. It is my understanding that many attorneys will nickel and dime you to hire them for additional "surprise" hours and may even lie/pressure you about the false need for it, but David (who is aware of the ill-perception of attorney practices) found a creative flat-fee solution to control for this. The flat-fee structure means that he sees the job through to the end regardless of how long it takes. You know that one honest mechanic that you recommend to all of your peers because it seems that every other one out there has a history of trying to sell you extra services that you didnt need but were naive about? Well David can well be compared to that honest mechanic but for the world of lawyers. He seemed to have had an "indie" vibe to him as opposed to the mainstream giant law office lawyers I had interviewed prior to. Regardless, he was able to be confrontational to my opponent as I needed him to be and very knowledgeable. Its clear that even though I strongly considered being self-represented (which David even suggested that I reasonably could and didnt *need* to hire anyone), my case was stronger because I had him fighting it for me. The numerous amounts of evidence I had were more organized and presented to a stronger effect much to the chagrin of my opponent. I'll say it again: his price structure and business model give him more integrity than other lawyers since it removes the incentive for billing for additional "surprise" hours. There isnt any real way for him to take advantage of his clients this way and I think that that's worth its weight on its own.

I was rear-ended and as a result have permanent pain in my back. I was offered $3,000 by the at fault insurance company. I then knew that I had to hire a lawyer, but was uncertain of how to figure out who was going to be honest and look out for my best interest. I was VERY near the end of my statue of limitations with my auto accident and I got bounced around by several different firms. They all explained that I had waited too long and they didn't have enough time to help me. I was really discouraged but was eventually referred to Kafoury & McDougal. They were very positive and told me that even with the situation they would be able to represent me.

I had telephoned several attorneys regarding my situation. None of them viewed my case as I did; there was something wrong with the timing of a work-related injury claim
and my employment being terminated.
Then, someone referred me to Christopher Slater.
I was instantly impressed with his honesty, knowledge of the law, and how well informed he was of the particular requirements for the industry in which I was employed.
He expressed confidence, patience, and the value of timing with regards to filing my complaint with the proper court.
Christopher's genuine concern regarding my current medical condition was a relief and he advised me to "take care of it first".
Christopher spent a great deal of time on the phone during the initial conference and everytime afterwards.
He was easy to talk with and always straightforward; often using metaphors to get his point across.
And always he made certain I had no questions at the end of all conversations.
I appreciated his mindfulness of my time and distance from his office.
Office meetings were kept to a bare minimum.

I contacted Todd's office after another attorney turned down my case. On my very first call I was able to speak with Todd directly and was reassured when he agreed to take my case.
