Blake Harris was able to help my family out of a pretty scary situation where my family was being sued because of something that wasn’t our fault. It was such a stressful time and Blake was always calm walking us through each step and able to answer any questions we had right away. It didn’t take long before Blake was able to get the case dropped!

We won! Me and my family had successfully won a case with the immense help from Blake H. It was a pleasure working along with him, he gave my family hope when we felt so hopeless in regards to a protection order. I'm writing this review at the end of a 3-year auto accident case. Stephen Weier and his team did an incredible job representing me after my injury. They managed expectations about what sort of settlement I could expect and exceeded that. Everyone on the team was committed, compassionate, and competent. They were never anything less than 100% professional and fought doggedly to represent my case during a vulnerable time. This review is years overdue. In short summary, Michael was an amazing lawyer and I would highly recommend him. I was involved in a car accident in 2018 where I had also been injured. I have never been in a car accident before so this was all new territory. Michael had come recommended by the community I lived in so I reached out for a consultation. He was highly professional and detail oriented, making sure to take notes about the accident and look through all my paperwork I had collected up to that point. After the consultation he ended up taking up my case. I feel that he made sure to give me the best deal I could have asked for. Him and his legal team always made sure to call and update me as negotiations continued and explained certain legal jargon in a way that I could easily understand. If I ever end up in this kind of situation again I will be reaching out to him.

Did what he would say he was going to do, when he said he was going to do it. Sometimes it's hard to get a call back, but with John, most of the time he answered the phone himself and he always took my calls. I felt like he truly cared about me and I wasn't just a number.

Having a great experience with a lawyer sounds like an oxymoron. However, that is the truth. Expert advice, quick, thorough, and most of all HONEST!! He ensured my charges were dropped and listened to the whole person, my whole story treated me with dignity and was honest when it came to fair pricing for services. Excellent Lawyer!!! First off let me say I have never been so scared in my life as when I got arrested and charged with two felonies. What's worst of all is the crimes I was accused of I did not commit. I was facing five years behind bars minimum. I was given a public defender which I didn't hear from at all for a whole week. Thus starting my quest to find a good lawyer.
I needed to find a lawyer I felt confident would represent me well. I went to seven different lawyers accompanied by my brother, before speaking to Mr. Graves. I heard all similar things from the seven previous lawyers. They all seemed more interested in getting paid then proving my innocence. My first meeting with Mr. Graves we spoke for about two hours about my options and what his plan of attack would be. I felt very comfortable in his skills, ability and experience. My brother who accompanied me during this process felt Mr. Graves was the best for the job.
My case dragged on for almost a year and each step of the way Mr. Graves kept me updated. He was very prepared for different scenarios that might have risen and gathered as much information about the case as he could. After almost a whole year of dealing with my case it ended with a dismissal! I could not have been more joyous and relieved and I owed it all to Daryl Graves. If your looking for a lawyer with grit and honesty Mr graves is someone highly worth considering. Lastly, on a personal note, I was very impressed with him not only as a lawyer but as a human being.

I was referred to Virginia after being terminated from a position of over 5 years with no notice. Friends had told me that Virginia had experience with this same employer in a different case, and there was a positive outcome. This job meant the world to me. I was a dedicated employee with national awards to back up my performance. However, I was experiencing sexist remarks for almost the entire duration of my tenure there. After a particularly loud and hostile confrontation, I finally told my supervisor that I was going to go against the advice of HR and final a formal grievance. I was fired 4 days later.
When I first met with Virginia I was a total wreck. I sobbed almost our entire meeting, and I wasn’t even sure myself of what I was looking for out of our initial meeting. She listened patiently, and at the end of my story she gave me a very honest account of what it would look like to pursue a lawsuit. She didn’t paint a rosy version of events, and she didn’t even commit to taking on the case. Instead, she told me what I would need to do to prepare, and gave me a choice.
Throughout the case I felt confident that I was in good hands. Virginia was always open to questions, trustworthy, and diligent in her preparation of evidence. I truly believe that her reputation of ironclad groundwork played an emotional role in the final decision of my past employer.
Virginia understood my needs from this endeavor where greater than the financial outcome. We have many healing (albeit concise) conversations about how these types of cases influence organizational behavior. In the end, I felt like I got to experience justice thanks to Virginia. I would recommend her to anyone.

It is never a good way to start the New Year being terminated from your current position. Not only was I taken by surprise when the HR Director asked to speak with me early morning of Jan 10, 2017, she was the only person besides myself in the the meeting. I was given termination paperwork and told that I had 21 days to return it if I was going to receive any type of additional severance from the company. I was also told that I should be able to collect unemployment. Considering it was only myself and the HR Director in the meeting - it would come down to my word against hers if I was unable to collect unemployment or if there was an issue with the termination/severance paperwork. Virginia was able do an initial phone consult with me which put my mind at ease during this stressful time. She let me know what information and paperwork she needed from me to review my case and a fair estimate of the cost involved in the review. I put together all the necessary documentation and met with her at her Downtown Tacoma office. Meeting Virginia in person was one of the best things to come out of my employment being terminated from my previous employer in Fife. Virginia reviewed the paperwork and settlement agreement and set up a phone consult to let me know what she found. I was able to ask questions of her on the phone and was given step by step changes to the wording of the settlement agreement that she recommended. She explained some of the legal wording that was listed so that I would be able to understand what my previous employer was trying to impose on me. Talking to Virginia gave me the confidence to stand up to my previous employer and to ask for changes to be made to the settlement agreement that was mutually beneficial to both parties involved. If I had not contacted Virginia, I probably would have just signed the paperwork and took my chances. I am so glad that my previous employer made the necessary changes to the paperwork that Virginia recommended. I felt like I left the company on my terms, rather than theirs. I was able to collect unemployment as well. I have gone to work for another company and am grateful that Virginia was able to help out during the transition from unemployed to employed. I would recommend her to anyone looking for guidance/legal advise as a result of an employment termination. I will use Virginia's Legal services in the future if I find myself unemployed again or in a motor vehicle accident. She takes the time to communicate with you and follows-up in a timely manner. So many legal issues now a days are so time sensitive. I received e-mails from her over the weekend as well as in the evening. She genuinely cares about her clients.

After working in the workforce for decades and having numerous encounters with discrimination, I had never sought the advice of a lawyer. Rationale was that it was too hard to relive the incidents over and even harder to try to prove that the actions of your employer were discriminatory. The behavior of my current employer became so egregious and unprofessional I had to seek consultation on either to sue or plan an exit strategy. I called and left a message and Virginia called me back while in training out-of-state. She spoke to me multiple times and instructed me on what she needed to get started while still away from the office. I was impressed right away with her efficiency!
As instructed, I provided her with input. She reviewed my input and we setup a date to meet. Prior to meeting, she was honest and informed me right away that she was not inclined to take my case on. When we met she asked some pointed questions and allowed me to talk, while she attentively listened. She observed my body language and passion. She then assessed my current situation and cared enough to tell me about what she could see in me as an individual being that she had been in employment law for 28 years. She offered me alternatives (i.e., a referral for potential employment elsewhere and/or encouraged me to do more with my small business). In addition, she clarified that even though she was not willing to take on my potential case another lawyer may view my current situation differently. She informed me of the statutory limitations, if I wanted to pursue further.
Based on her feedback, it validated what I already knew, removing all emotions. Her neutral, but caring, review brought me peace that I had not experienced since my encounter with my employer two months prior and it resolved issues I had internally NOT dealt with for decades. I will always be thankful for her efficient, honest and forthright consultation. The universe gives you what your heart desires. For me, it was meeting and consulting with Virginia DeCosta.

Mr. Harkins represented me in a fair and competent manor and extracted the full amount of compensation my insurance policy allowed. The insurance company had only offered 46% of my personal injury amount under my policy. My accident was the result of an uninsured, unlicensed teenage driver crossing the center line of the roadway and crashing head-on into my vehicle with my wife and I both sustaining injuries. Just want to share my story on how Terry helped me out on what proved to be a life-changing event. I was the passenger of a truck on a country road in Tacoma when suddenly our vehicle was hit by a speeding driver who went over the ridge and left me almost dead right at the scene. With the grace of God, I survived the accident but had to fight for my life with severe injuries.
I had to endure three major surgeries, nearly a month of recovery in the hospital, and a few months more in rehab that had me spend most of my days in a wheelchair. More than three years of extensive rehab was still not enough to bring me back to the kind of physical freedom and confidence that I used to enjoy prior to the accident. I can completely attest that it has been the darkest days of my life. I couldn't work and the medical bills were piling up and it quickly drained what was left of my savings.
Just to let you know, the total medical expenses reached more than $150,000 not to mention the $60,000 worth of wages that I lost when I was stuck either in bed, in the wheelchair, or on crutches. In that moment, I didn't know what to do and there were plenty of times when my faith in the lord and life completely wavered.
The driver's insurance company settled for policy limits and from that point on, things turned for the worse. The insurance company insisted that they only had to carry 1/4 of the liability since I was merely a passenger of the truck and not the driver. The company put a lien on the $150,000 and medical bills it had paid which meant that I had to pay the majority of the money back. To bring further insult to injury, they even debated the responsibility of covering my future care.
But Terry E. Lumsden was not about to let justice slip away. Terry filed a lawsuit that forced the insurance company to waive its lien and agree to pay for future medical care. Thank you, Terry, for helping me achieve the justice and compensation that I desperately needed!

I was in a really tough spot when Steve arrived in my life, not only was I in legal trouble but I was also having problems at home with the family. Mr. Gerrit was very responsive to our needs, and often made phone contact personally rather than through a secretary or clerk. His initial knowledge was good, but also researched our issue thoroughly enough to become very familiar with the more minor nuances. We have used his services a few times over the years, and in each instance his work on our behalf rapidly resolved the issue and prevented the issue from becoming a long ordeal. We will continue to use his services should the need arise in the future.

I was facing 60 months for an assault and within 6 months Morgan Benfield took me to trial and got me an acquitted via an “Not Guilty” verdict from the jury.
Looking back at this process, I would sincerely tell anyone whom is looking for a defense attorney to consider hiring Morgan Benfield.
His entire philosophical process was way beyond easy and in the end, despite the flagrant dishonesty and intentional difficulty inflicted upon us by the State, especially during the pretrial process, he smoothly navigated and directed us to a big win.
If you hire Mr Benfield please understand that the courts respect him as well. For example, whenever I showed up to arraignment, the State made it crystal clear that they were going to ask for $50,000 bail. Once they’d been informed that I was represented by Morgan Benfield, that request suddenly plummeted to $15,000, the judge ultimately deciding to release me for free under my own recognizance. “Mr Cho I see that you’ve hired your own attorney” he said, prior to releasing me.
I say again Mr Benfield is super easy to work with. So easy that at times I felt uncomfortable with the lack of effort that was required of me. You literally pay for his services and let the man work. Other lawyers, many times more expensive ones will not only ask you for their fee but then will give you a packet/check list of all the things that you need to do on your end before they get started. They’ll even attach your bill on the very top as they hand it all over to you. This is the extreme opposite of Mr Benfield.
His approach is unorthodox and he even has a catch-phrase that he uses once he has them where he wants them (I won’t disclose it and ruin the fun) but by the time Morgan Benfield was finished that jury took only an hour to decide and I truly feel the only reason that it took that long was for the jury to give the pretense to the judge that they were debating amongst themselves. We were done by lunch.
Trust me. This guy is good. Thank you to all my predecessors that left reviews prior to me because without them I may have never sought out his services. Thank you again Mr Benfield for beating my charge!
