Attorney Luther knows the law and quotes the case laws like the back of her hand. She is extremely knowledgeable, organized and thorough. I was facing the option of having to appeal a ruling or petitioning for the judge to vacate their ruling and grant a new case. In my case, the judge imediately vacated their ruling and granted a new case. Attorney Luther did more than I thought was possible. She was realistic with me about my options and the potential outcomes and I felt confident having her on my team. She was effective in arguing my case after only having a short amount of time to prepare. She located and subpoenad information that my previous attorney did not obtain and appears to be very respected by the courts. She has over 2 decades of experience and I pity the attorney that opposes her if they don't have their work done. I would hire her again and again and again should the need ever arise but hopefully the need doesn't arise.

I would absolutely recommend Attorney Luther and her staff. She came as a recommendation from a close family friend whom has used her in the past. She is an amazing no nonsense type of lawyer with a great personality and supporting staff to match! Be prepared! You have expectations of her as a lawyer, and she has expectations of you as a client. If you are wanting her to work on your behalf, you need to be able to provide whatever she asks her within the deadline she has given to you
I hired Attorney Luther to handle my child custody/legitimization case. I was sued by my NCP. Both the NCP and I were originally filed as Pro Se until the NCP retained counsel. I didn't think much about retaining counsel due to financial reasons and my supporting documents to substantiate my case. But upon NCP obtaining counsel, the filing changed. My case went from the NCP trying to establish visitation to him wanting to take full custody of our child. I had to retain her at the last minute, and it was one best decisions I made in regards to this legal matter. She IMMEDIATELY went to work on my case! She filed motions within the 2 hours of being retained. With that being said, her 25 years of experience and good reputation with Judges was a determining factor in the judge allowing for a Continuance while I prepare with my attorney; the judge definitely made that known.
Attorney Luther is very upfront and direct and detailed. She works very hard for you but she also expects the same from her client. As a client, help her to help you! Communicate thoroughly your needs, wants and expectations and she will be very honest with you and work hard to achieve the requests of her clients.
She came to court prepared and ready! Every time opposing counsel tried to submit evidence that was not reviewed, lead a witness or imply negligent wrongdoing without supporting documentation and proof - Attorney Luther was on point to stop the opposing counsel dead in their tracks! I was very proud of her performance in Court and the overall outcome of the case. Her opening and closing arguments were phenomenal. The way she thoroughly questioned the witnesses and opposing parties were impressive.
My advice: Be prepared! You have expectations of her as a lawyer, and she has expectations of you as a client. If you are wanting her to work on your behalf, you need to be able to provide whatever she asks her within the deadline she has given to you. I had retained her at truly the last minute possible and therefore I had to beat feet and get her everything within a very tight deadline. But because I am thorough and detailed myself, I brought most of that information with me when I retained her. But I still had more to do. She explained that her deadlines are to allow her and her staff time to comply with her deadlines to file motions and submit requests and such with the court.
There is nothing negative that I can say about Attorney Luther or her staff. I would recommend her to anyone! I know that if I never hired her, that my case would not have come out the way that it did.

Jill and her team are very good at what they do. I went through a divorce from multiple states away never stepping foot in GA. Everything was completed in a very timely fashion and Jill was there every step of the way. I felt very comfortable throughout the entire process even though we only communicated via email and phone calls. I would recommend Jill and her team you anyone. Even after everything was completed Jill still answers the occasional question in a very timely manner even though she doesnt have to. Thank you so very much Jill as well as to your team. You guys are great.

Ms. Robinson has been a joy to work with. Thru all the confusing and upsetting things of a custody case, she has been reassuring, present, and knowledgeable. No one could have handled my situation better. I have been kept up to date on everything going on with my case and she is quick to explain things that can be complicated about the custody process. I used Adam for a custody modification 7 years ago. I was naive about the family law process in my initial custody case and lost parental rights due to an incompetent attorney. Adam not only helped me restore those rights, but also got me more than I asked for in the end.
I’m happy to report that my son is thriving with the consistent routine he desperately needed in his formative years, and finally achieved when he started school, thanks to Adam. I interviewed 3 lawyers prior to deciding to use Adam as my lawyer. I asked for recommendations from people I met who had gone through a divorce and his name came up 3 different times. He did a great job minimizing my expenses and maximizing my settlement. I felt that seeing Adam was as beneficial as a counselor and I felt the knowledge and guidance he gave me was invaluable.

Barry was referenced to me for his legal knowledge and temperament. He was my second lawyer (make a change if it does not feel like your lawyer is on your team!) for divorce and was the perfect fit, as it is important for there to be a good level of understanding. This person is critical to your life and future lives of your children, post-divorce.
Barry listened to my endless jabbering, but at a point he educated me on what was critical and what was a complete waste of time. He was so right on many occasions, it was not even funny. In mediation, he even called what would be happening before it happened VERBATIM!!! Listen to this advisor - he is the real deal and he gives a sh-- about his clients. Don't waste time on crap he says is a waste of time (and often money). Relax a bit - I know it is hard to believe for some, like me.
Reasonably available during the paperwork process, but 100% available when it really matters (when the iron was hot).
Good man and lawyer. I recommend highly.

My case involved a State probation violation which is pretty cut and dry. If you screw up.... you get punished severely.
Not only did Ann have a good game plan for court but she was able to get me in to see the Judge in record time. I couldn't have asked for a better turn out either. No slap on the wrist, no fines or fees, and I got what I wanted by the end of it all.
She was all business, and thats all I wanted. No muss, No fuss, and no drama. She told me what she was going to do, and our day in court was successful. I would recommend or use Ann again.

I’m Kai... This Review is about Michael Schlifka and Lisa Jackson, both who ended up being heaven sent angels in my life! Michael and Lisa are two of the most supportive, heart felt, hard working, determined, people I’ve ever met.. Im blessed Michael was my divorce attorney, and that Lisa was the paralegal over my divorce case.. They were an AWESOME team over my case, my divorce was everything BUT pretty. My ex wife and I have 2 kids together, my ex demanded the divorce but was being very difficult with the kids. It had even got to the point where I was set up by my ex, and my character was assassinated by my ex. To try to obtain full custody of the kids.
Through it ALL Michael stayed by my side, and fought for me and my kids diligently and affectively. Michaels sense of compassion but ability to be firm when need be is on point! Michael really knows his stuff, and fought for me tooth and nail! He did not give up on me or my case, he showed up to every court date, every hearing, and fought so hard for me. Sometimes I sit back, and thank god for bringing Michael and Lisa into my life. And putting Michael as my attorney over my divorce.. When I began my divorce, I knew nothing about divorce. Was highly hurt and emotional. Heartbroken is an understatement..
I googled divorce attorneys, not knowing where to start. I came across Meriwether and Tharpe, got put in touch with Michael Schlifka. And the rest is history.. Michael always kept my kids and I best interest in mind, and never gave up on my case. My divorce was LONG and drawn out, but he stayed by my side. He answered every email every phone call, and was highly effective. In the end of my case, due to Michael’s drive and will not to give up. Michael was kind and compassionate about my terrible situation. My divorce was very unpleasant. He worked with me (and my ex-husband) to get to a very specific parenting plan and next 8 or 9 years plan. We agreed to co-parent 50/50 and maintain the "homestead" 50/50 until the last child graduates but MAN it was hard to get to that point. All the anger - he worked with me and often times I took out my anger on he and his team of paralegals (who were all wonderful!). He never had any anger back, mostly just some humor. He understood me. He took time to understand the unreasonable situation I was in and worked hard to get a great settlement. We didn't even have to go to court! Thanks so much Michael Schlifka!

I have had the fortunate and unfortunate pleasure of working with SWTW, and more specifically Andrea Pawlak and Kevin Ward, both of which I can not speak highly enough about. I have been through the worst of life experiences and can honestly say that without their friendship and guidance I would be in a much different position. Andrea is by far the most prepared, educated, dedicated and passionate attorney that I have been exposed to. The single greatest attribute that stands above the rest is her ability to manage a client through what is seemingly their worst moments in life such as a child's death and/or a contentious divorce. Andrea brings a level of personal connection to the engagement and truly cares about the well being of her clients, not just the outcome! She knows the case inside and out and is so well prepared to provide her clients with the necessary information to make educated decisions. A lawyers job is not to make choices on custody as mentioned in a review below, that is the clients decision, your attorney should be a trusted ally that provides you with legal informed decision making options and aligns with your morals, values and ethics, I could not recommend Andrea and SWTW more because of this reason.

This is Bidut Chowdhury and I adopted my daughter, who was an adult, from my wife's previous marriage. Ashley's office staff was super efficient and timely in following up with every development in the case. Abbie Murphy, the assistant was very proactive in calling me about every little detail, or necessary revisions, etc.; and exceedingly cordial. The bottom line...from the date we filed the "complete" paperwork...it took approximately only a month to get the court order. I am a very thankful client.

Tired of her unethical actions towards, a loved ones case in Cobb county, as a public defender. I have been dealing with this lawyer for over a year and she has visited my family member 1 time and knows nothing about his cases. I call for updates she has hung up on me or more than 2 occasions. Everyone deserves her to handle their cases for the best possible outcome per the state bar. This lawyer is also on social media making videos,when she could be studying my family members case. Less than 1 star and will be taking this review further until justice is served according to the codes of conduct as an attorney in the state of GA

This has been a road with this lawyer as I would give her less than 1 star if I could because of the way she has treated my family member in their court case in Cobb county. Instead of admitting she knows nothing about his cases (felony) & her YSL case is her priority she denies and lies as if she has visited when it is documented that she has not but once. Every case she takes or is assigned to, deserve a fair chance of representation & the oath states that she is supposed to “adhere to all articles of conduct while working tirelessly for the best possible outcome.” When I call to ask about updates she is rude. A life should be her concern paid or not! I will be complaining to state bar as this matter has been ongoing with her for over 1 year with her unprofessional manner.

Ms. LaScala represented me in my divorce case. While she seems very knowledgeable and experienced, I did not feel her preparation for my mediation was adequate. I felt pressured to settle and pushed into an agreement that did not reflect my best interests. She told me from day one that alimony was intended to be restorative, not punitive, but in the end the amount and length of alimony was excessive. It was a long day and I feel like she folded rather than suggesting alternatives. After mediation she was difficult to get in touch with, did not return my calls, and was not available to assist with finalizing the terms of my divorce for things like QDRO and transfer of assets.
