Alicia was the best decision I could have made for my separation/child custody case. She is respectful, honest, optimistic, compassionate, and an ace in the courtroom. She knows family law extremely well, and while attempts to reach mutual agreements with both parties, is not intimidated with taking it to court when needed.
Alicia is a big proponent of Fathers' rights, which is the primary reason I sought her out. She believes in fairness and understands that men still tend to get the bad end of the deal in many cases. Without going into specifics, when it looked like I had little hope, Alicia completely turned everything into my favor unequivocally. I can't say enough for what she did and how she handled my situation. Entering the courtroom and going before the judge and opposition, we felt more like a team then as attorney/client. She is not afraid to battle for what is right and has my utmost respect. I owe her much gratitude and cannot say enough about her or the impact she had on my life. Greg is an outstanding attorney and deserves 5 stars! He has compassion in his approach and will give rational advice to reduce the cost of your legal fees! He went out out of his way and drove to office just to meet me on 'snow days' when the entire town was shut down. ...that left me with questions and a feeling of chaos and confusion afterwards, tried to see if I could quickly get a little clarity or when? Was told only after signing the retainer I could set up another appointment!
I was in a most distressed and traumatic state of mind, vented/muttered things to myself about access to justice and prohibitive costs with dismissive treatment, MY OPINION/FEELING, after just being hit with the staggering costs for representation (AND paying $325 for what?).
So Chris said he wouldn't represent me(the audacity to think I would want him to after this kind of treatment is telling) due to his receptionist saying I was verbally hostile towards her, which I absolutely was not and even went out of my way to be polite to her and say goodbye using her name(again I was muttering to myself and towards the wall).

From the time I hired Attorney Dumont and through the preliminary stages to the final award, she was caring, thorough, professional and supportive. She helped me get a restraining order in a domestic violence case. It was a complicated and upsetting situation and she was empathetic and emotionally reassuring. I was hesitant to spend money for an attorney because I was on a tight budget and was already spending a lot of money on other things such as an alarm system etc to feel safe. Also, my father was helping me as he had studied law so we questioned if it was necessary to have an attorney. I was very happy with our decision to hire her. She was generous with her time and she and her assistant were always readily available to help me. Attorney Dumont is experienced and knowledgeable. She made it a smooth process by helping me know exactly what to expect and by building a solid case. It saddens me to have to write a review like this but given the situation, I feel it's best to get this out into the public to warn any future clients.
I am writing this review to express my utmost disappointment with the legal services provided by Heidi E. Opinsky. Unfortunately, my experience with her has been nothing short of frustrating. I hired her for a Prenuptial Agreement and ultimately, had to hire someone else since she was not able to come through in a timely matter. I outline all of the issues below.
First and foremost, communication was a major issue throughout the entire process. I spent the time to visit her at her home in mid-March 2023, and did not hear from her or her paralegal Oksana until I had to reach out myself about 7 weeks later, only to be told nothing was done yet.
Despite multiple attempts to reach out via email, I received little to no response from Heidi at times. When I did receive a response, it was often delayed and failed to address the concerns or questions I had raised. This lack of timely communication caused unnecessary delays and added to the overall frustration of the situation. It took over 3 months to get a first draft of the agreement.
Furthermore, I was deeply dissatisfied with the way misrepresented her schedule. I was under the impression that my case would receive the attention and priority it deserved, but unfortunately, that was far from the reality. It became evident that my case was not given the necessary time and effort, leaving me feeling neglected and disregarded as a client. She had a trial that she did not tell me about when I met with her. The trial took precedent clearly over my legal matters.
Lastly, it is worth mentioning that the documents prepared by Heidi contained numerous spelling errors and were clearly rushed. This lack of attention to detail and professionalism is simply unacceptable, considering the importance and sensitivity of legal matters. I wound up editing my own prenuptial agreement since it took her almost a month to make two quick changes that took me a total of 4 minutes to make.
As a result of all of the aforementioned issues, I thought it was best to obtain another lawyer (who was able to write up a very thorough prenuptial agreement within one week of meeting him); something that should have been taken care by her given the time I gave her. This cost me additional thousands of dollars.
Overall, my experience with Heidi E. Opinsky was nothing short of a disappointment. The lack of communication, misrepresentation of availability, failure to provide requested services, and the presence of spelling errors in legal documents, all highlight a significant lack of professionalism and dedication. I would strongly caution anyone considering legal services from Heidi to seek alternative options.
I sincerely hope that Heidi and her staff takes this feedback constructively and makes the necessary improvements to provide a better experience for future clients.

I also was taken advantage of by attorney Babbitt. She went through $5000 in 2 1/2 months couldn’t return phone calls. She would brief me 10 minutes before court had no clue if she was coming or going and absolutely was a total embarrassment. also after realizing that I could represent myself I asking for the $2000 worth of research that she did, so I could use it for the next court date….. she has not replied, or given me what I paid for. I even was hung up by one of her office workers when I asked for a time frame of when I would be contacted back by Miss Babbitt. That should’ve been my first sign to ask for a refund immediately. Her professionalism was terrible. So bad that I am contacting the Better Business Bureau steer clear. Also, two of her five star reviews are left by her employees. Lol.

I would highly recommended Attorney Briggs for numerous reasons. I was referred to him through a friend. When I needed to speak with him he would returned my calls right away, each time. We communicate via email as well. He always took the time to get back with me right away. I always felt like I had a person who thoroughly knew the law and was 100% committed, and was in my corner. He listened intently, and genuinely cared about what I said, and cared about what I and my daughter were going through. He gave me the best advice on what to do concerning the both of us. He was very informative and knew exactly what I needed to do and when to do it. If I ever have to go through something like this again, and I hope I never will, I wouldn't hesitate to pick up the phone and call him again. I would HIGHLY recommend this Attorney to anyone who needs a good lawyer.

I preivously reviewed Attorney Briggs on this site and gave him a 5 star rating but now things have changed. Here are the benefits and disadvantages of Attorney Briggs.
Benefits
* Willing to take the time to listen
* Cheaper then other Attorneys
* Seems to Authentically care about your case.
Disadvantages
* Appearance he arrives at court with a old backpack, not an attorney briefcase.
* He is not very organized.
* He is very by the book and will turn on you in an instant.
* He doesn't have a ton of experience.
* Doesn't know the law well or answers to many questions you may have.
In the time I hired Attorney Briggs my visitation schedule never improved. He was in the wrong court room during one of my cases and it caused me to loose my visitation and he played it off as if it wasn't his fault. When I hired him and told me how he thinks i have a great case ect.. ect.. as time went on the defendant in the case continued to screw up and rather then think we had a better chance he kept saying I'm not going to win ect ect... He would ask me questions on the stand that he never prepped me for and that were harmful to my case. He would accuse me of lying and want to tell the court I lied. and above all he quit, he withdrew from my case after 9 months of representation just 2 weeks before trial.
He also changed his mind on the retainer amount after I was prepared to pay him the amount he requested originally.
Bottom Line there are better attorney's out there don't waste your time and money on a rookie.
