Mary McKnight and I met at the lowest point in my life, recommended highly by a colleague attorney that got thrown off my case for BS from my ex. As soon as we met (just weeks after the loss of her own husband) she reviewed my case looked up at me and smiled a smile that I would grow to look forward to for years. My ex kept us in court for ever and Mary stepped up to bat each time even shortly after a fall that got her a shiny new hip, nothing for between her and arguing for the utmost safety for my son. I would most definitely send everyone her direction and have, that need a warrior willing to step up and defend her clients to the hilt.

Mr. Briones is a generic result attorney that totally got annihilated in court JP3 04/13/21
He was representing my family members in a civil suit and even got their name incorrect.
Briones was unprepared and tried to scam Judge Wentworth into believing that only one person was on a deed to a home in dispute as if the other ex spouse was not on the deed at all. When the Judge called him out in it, Briones stumbled in his words saying he misunderstood.
Briones did not even have the divorce Decree with him that literally won the case for the opponent .
He told the Judge he did not know what was on it and got annihilated once again when the Judge had the copy of the decree and told him that his name was on it. He had signed it, yet had pretended he was unaware of the stipulations on it that favored the opponent and the case was lost for Briones.
I believe the Judge could see through Briones right away and his credentials were immediately lost.
This attorney is exactly the kind of attorney to avoid.

I went to see Mr. Briones for a consultation in December of last year. My ex wife was moving to Laredo and taking our son to go live over there. I asked Mr. Briones for help and he recommended that we file for a modification to have my son come live me with and not have to go to Laredo. It seemed impossible and I never thought I would have a chance but Mr. Briones was very certain that we could fight for this. I didn't have very much money to pay for a retainer so he asked for a little up front and put me on a payment plan. We went to court a few times and at the last hearing we won. My son now lives with me full time and I couldn't ask for a better lawyer on my side then Ricardo Briones.

Jeff is probably the best attorney in Dallas Fort Worth in my opinion. He is diligent and thorough. He covers all the bases. He knows the law backward and forward and will give you options and good advice. You will not go wrong with Jeff. If this shark is in the waters, you better be on his side of the courtroom. Extreme professionalism. Very intelligent. As you explain your situation, he knows the exact thing to do to take care of it. He is on top of things, and you do not have to worry about this law group stalling, forgetting, or losing focus on your case. From the extremely wealthy clients to just average Joe families, Jeff makes you feel as if your case is his top priority. He was very patient with our lack of understanding about some client/lawyer issues, and would always explain things thoroughly. When it comes to strategy and courtroom demeanor, I doubt you will find a close equal in the metroplex. The cost is a bit high for just a regular Joe family, but we knew it was an investment in our kids that could not be overlooked by using an "okay" lawyer. If you want the best, Jeff Anderson is worth the investment. We had another attorney for many years, but we are grateful to Jeff for really helping us understand what the process should actually look like. It is not only that he is a talented attorney, many are, but Jeff has been taking in family law since he was a little boy. I doubt you will find another attorney that knows the law and its niches backwards and forwards like this guy. If you have a case that you just cannot take a chance on...call Jeff.

I am beyond thankful for Cris and all he has done for me. There is a limited amount of attorneys who specialize in family law that work in Matagorda County. I was unable to find one that would represent me on such short notice with a challenging case. I stumbled across Cris Rasco on google and he seemed like a great choice. Grant Scheiner was recommended to me by a friend when I found myself needing an Attorney. I was being charged with a felony and would soon be arrested. I was terrified and at a loss as to what to do. I made the decision to hire Sisemore Law Firm in late April 2020 based on a performance-based referral for Justin Sisemore personally. I am devastated and heartbroken to say that it ended up being a really bad decision for myself and my baby boy.
My ex-fiancé and I separated in April 2020. Due to a rough separation and a lot of hostility, I hired Justin Sisemore to protect myself and my new born baby. I was afraid that my ex could take the baby from me at any point so I needed temporary orders set immediately. I also needed child support to be ordered as I was not working due to my newborn and COVID had just started.
I had very limited resources and was able to come up with the funds to pay the retainer fee.
A couple of months later, I was kept growing anxious as things were being delayed, counsel kept believing the opposing side instead of me, temporary orders were not set (and my ex kept reminding me that he could take the baby at any point), it was hard to communicate with the counsel as they were working from home and did not have direct numbers to reach them and Justin Sisemore had issued my case to an associate attorney. The associate attorney’s admin rarely had answers and the associate attorney was always busy.
All in all, $17,000 later, temporary orders were just being finalized. We had not even got to mediation or scheduling the final trial. Again, this is not a divorce case. I simply needed a custody schedule worked out and child support established.
After receiving a bill(for $4,200 plus and an additional request for $1,500 for trust account funding) 3 weeks after I had just payed an additional $3,500(which I thought would get us through the temporary hearing), I withdrew from Sisemore Law Firm Services as I was getting more in debt than being helped with the extremely high and unreasonable costs of Sisemore Law Firm.
Almost 5 Months after hiring Sisemore Law Firm, my bill is $17K and the only thing accomplished was getting through the temporary hearing which established custody schedule and child support for the next 3 months. Again, my ex and I were not married so formal divorce complications did not exist.
Now, I need assistance to continue the process but have completely run out of financial resources. I thought being left by the man whom I’ve loved for years with a newborn baby was the worst thing but it turns out that..
Being left by the partner that I loved for years with a newborn baby and now, $17,000 in attorney fees with no permanent results, and in much financial distress is much worse. I do not wish this upon any single mama(or dad).

If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely THE problem when it comes to attorneys this day and age.(maybe it’s just with men). If you want a game where you're being strung along and billed forever playing the rollercoaster game with you and your children's life instead of evidence being presented in a costly/timely and empathetic manner THIS IS YOUR GUY. Mr. Bancroft, i just got off the phone with you where you hung up on me stating that I’m threatening you. Get over your ego and realize that your business as a practicing attourney needs realignment. I wrote you about a standing invoice you provided totaling to less than the amount that Ive paid to you months prior with no response. After speaking to your paralegal, then being transferred to your “billing dept.” and speaking to them I was provided with a newer invoice…..with newer charges, where whomever was working before had originally just simply “forgot to send me the invoice”….what a convenient coincidence. After speaking with her, I was transferred to you where I had a conversation with your ego. Well, from the little guy(s) down here Mr. Bancroft, do whats right and fabricating invoices to skip out on paying balances owed on any moneys paid to you for the services that you DID NOT PROVIDE are just not that. Client paid $1750 in retainer fees(half of your 3500 to get the case started) and had to chase said attourney down for enquiries with little to no communications outside of ones that were initiated by me/client, INCLUDING in person conversation with YOU where I unexpectedly paid a visit to your office in August after I could not successfully contact anyone and asked about a status of my case. You did not recall my case by name until we went to your office and you searched my name.(keep in mind, this is three months after contracting). Attourney invoicing per attourney-client portals all state work for balance of $753, with latest payment from client being $631 in October.(this never happened, only payment made was the initial one and didn't make another due to subpar and in my opinion MALPRACTICAL, I'm aware that isn't an official word, service). After a few months of calling and majorly being placed on hold, back and forth’s with promises of returned calls or motions with paralegals, multiples of them and finally being frustrated with the reality of paying an attourney and not being fought for……while fighting a vindictive situation with my children as a GREAT DAD I asked for an explanation stating that if I did not hear anything as ai had been I wanted to discontinue services and be refunded via message inside of the client portal, I THEN was given a response…..but not with accountability, not with a plan of action, not to communicate any valuable evidence or structured plan of action, but to speak downward of me on the “dismal” months of non-payment……….ultimately this attourney demanded I paid him his past due amount, in addition to totals for mediations that hadn't even been had yet to avoid him WITHDRAWING. Needless to say I attended the mediation PRO SE, paid the mediator directly. I’m now on maximum state mandated child support and standard visitation for the children I equally raised because the relationship did not work out with their mother…finally divorced none the less. All of the evidence in the world to fight that good fight never presented, never saw a represented court setting, money just wasted and thank GOD I demanded a standard or it could have been MUCH MUCH worse financially. Contracted with this attourney on 5/24/2024….attourney withdrew as of 11/5/2024, yet they have still attempted to withdraw payment from my bank as of latest, 12/19/2024…….this was my SECOND attourney over a course of what I recall as a 3 year nightmare……I can confidently say, this is whats wrong with the family law system! Will edit with photo documentation when I have time.

I was married 22 years. I had always worked and taken care of my kids. My husband who had not lived with us for 12 years was now setting a poor example for my daughters. Lisa was on EPA as good lawyer offered discount. I met her told her 10,000.00 was my limit I did not want to fight, or service him paper, just wanted out safety with kids. Now we go to a lawyer because we don’t know the law. Lisa ok, shouldn’t be a problem, he was military… Its ok we can cover it. All Lisa did was stress me out and take more and more money, cancel court then quit. Because of all the stress, she could have stopped our family, was completely broken apart. I am a Mother not a lawyer. Nothing explained, well this could happen so this is a must. I was never married before paid for his first 2 children. Now my twins are separated. A way for Dad to keep partying and not pay support. I couldn’t and wouldn’t in good Conscience recommend this lawyer to my worst enemy. After getting things finished I will report to the bar 20,000. Nothing then quit now trying to get more money. Shouldn’t be practicing. Watch your bill!
